The rest of the car ride passed by quickly with just conversations about the upcoming first week of school and Glee club.
“Is Blaine going to join?” Kurt asked.
“I don’t think I’m giving him a choice in the matter.” Rachel laughed.
“I don’t know how you live with her Blaine. I don’t know if I’d be able to take it.” Kurt teased.
“You’re right she’s super bossy.” Blaine smiled.
“You’re telling me. She bosses me and all our friends around like it’s her job. I can’t imagine what it would be like if it actually was her job to boss me around.” Kurt laughed.
“She’s a pain.” Blaine teased.
“Hey! Who are you kidding you both love me!” Rachel exclaimed.
“Nope Rach, I think I may like your brother more.” Kurt teased turning around to wink at Blaine.
Blaine’s heart fluttered in his chest, Kurt Hummel just winked at him. He knew he was blushing like crazy, but he couldn’t help it. Kurt was really really attractive and he was so nice and so funny and perfect.
Yet again he found himself asking why he’d never met the boy before.
“Okay we have arrived.” Rachel smiled pulling into a parking spot at Breadstix.
Rachel led them in to the crowded restaurant and led them up to the hostess’ podium.
“It’ll be about an hour wait.” The women informed her.
“An hour?! Isn’t there anything else available?” Rachel asked batting her eyelashes.
“Rach, its fine. We’ll just go somewhere else.” Kurt said trying to play mediator and eliminate any drama from starting.
The hostess seemed to be eyeing Kurt up and Rachel smiled devilishly.
While the hostess told another family the same story Rachel approached Kurt.
“Kurt she was checking you out! Go flirt with her and see if you can get us a table.” Rachel whispered to him.
“Rach, we’ve been over this. I’m gay.” Kurt laughed.
“Yeah but you’re hot. Now go!” Rachel demanded.
Kurt approached the podium again putting on a charming smile. “Are you absolutely positive there isn’t any other table we could sit at?” Kurt asked while he idly moved a stray hair from her face and caressed her arm.
The girl blushed feverishly “I’m so sorry, it’s an hour wait.” She said again having a hard time standing her ground.
“I see.” Kurt hummed. “I can’t blame this place being crowded. With a hostess as beautiful as you of course everyone would want to sit in your section.” Kurt smiled before turning away.
“Wait!” She called after him.
“Yes?” He turned around trying to hide his smile.
“There’s a window table that seats two that’ll be ready in five. We can just pull up a chair.” She suggested.
“That would be lovely.” He smiled.
“Damn Kurt! You work your magic.” Rachel giggled.
“You should have seen her face! She was smitten.” Rachel added.
“Smitten? Are you from a romance novel in the 1800’s?” Kurt laughed. “She was not smitten; she was probably just creeped out by my advances and wanted to get us a table so I’d leave her alone.” Kurt laughed.
“Face it Kurt, you’re attractive and the ladies love you. Now stop being so shy and use your power of seduction on the guys.” Rachel smiled.
“Power of seduction? Have you gone insane? I have as much sex appeal as a baby penguin.” Kurt laughed.
Kurt and Rachel continued their light banter while Blaine watched Kurt intently.
If he had to admit it, he was a little jealous Kurt was flirting with the hostess and not him. Rachel was right he held some power of seduction. The way he sway his hips when he’s walking, or the way he subconsciously licks his lips, it’s all so alluring. Plus the fact that he’s drop dead gorgeous.
Blaine had to wonder why Kurt didn’t have a boyfriend. And why couldn’t said boyfriend be him?
Okay so maybe Blaine was crushing on him. But just a little. They had just met after all. And he was Rachel’s best friend. It all was a little silly.
But Blaine couldn’t help but be attracted to him. He was the most beautiful person he had ever seen. He had the best personality and the greatest sense of humor.
Alright maybe Blaine was crushing on Kurt a lot.
Blaine was brought out of his thoughts when the hostess led them to their table. Kurt and Blaine sat down and the hostess brought Rachel a chair.
“Guys I feel like a third wheel.” Rachel complained.
“Do you want to switch seats?” Kurt asked politely.
“No, then it’d look like I’m on a date with my brother.” Rachel sighed.
“Okay I can’t win. What do you want Rach?” Kurt laughed.
Rachel was about to answer when she saw people she recognized out of the corner of her eye.
“What is it?” Kurt asked noticing her tension. He followed her line of view until he saw what she was looking it. “Oh.” He said softly turning his head back to the table.
“Rachel quit staring.” Kurt scolded.
“I can’t help it.” Rachel sighed looking back to her plate.
“They must be having Friday night dinner.” Kurt sighed.
“Those are your parents and Finn right?” Blaine asked.
“Yeah.” Kurt replied.
“We should go over and say hi.” Rachel suggested.
“Have you lost your mind?” Kurt laughed.
“What I want to say hi to Finn. And so do you I can see it in your eyes. He’s your step brother and you two hardly ever see each other. Come one let’s go over.” Rachel pleaded.
“I don’t want to start anything. Just text Finn and let him come to us.” Kurt suggested.
“Fine. “ Rachel said pulling out her phone.
“Finn, no texting at the table.” Carole scolded when Finn pulled out his phone.
“Sorry, that was Rachel.” Finn explained opening the message.
“Oh that’s okay. How is she doing? What’s she up to?” Burt asked.
“She’s doing well. She’s hanging with her brother tonight.” Finn replied reading the message.
“Oh they’re here having dinner.” Finn added.
“Awwh, why don’t you invite them over here for a minute? We haven’t seen Rachel in awhile.” Carole smiled.
“Okay.” Finn smiled texting his girlfriend.
You guys can come over and say hi if you want—Finn.
I’m having dinner with Kurt, you come over here—Rachel.
Kurt’s here? That’s so exciting I haven’t seen him all summer. Mom and dad wanted you to come over though. Just bring him with you. They can just get over it :p—Finn.
Okey dokey—Rachel.
“Okay Rachel’s coming over.” Finn smiled.
“Hi Rachel” Finn smiled standing to give his girl friend a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “Hey Blainers how you doing?” He greeted Blaine giving him a fist bump. “Kurt! I’ve missed you!” He smiled pulling Kurt into a hug.
“Rachel it’s a pleasure to see you again. We haven’t seen you in awhile. Hello Blaine how are you?” Burt asked completely ignoring Kurt’s presence.
“Hello Burt, Hi Carole. I’m doing great!” Rachel smiled.
“Hi dad, hi mom.” Kurt said sadly.
“How has your summer been Rachel?” Carole asked.
“Are you kidding me?” Finn asked appalled. “How long is this going to go on? Kurt is family you can’t keep pretending he doesn’t exist!” Finn said angrily.
“We can continue pretending he doesn’t exist as long as he continues choosing to be the twink he is.” Burt said harshly.
“And I’m surprised they let faggots like him into a nice family establishment like this.” Burt added.
Finn was about to yell but Kurt cut him off.
“Don’t make a scene. I wouldn’t want to cause further embarrassment. Or then again maybe I would.” Kurt said turning to Blaine and kissing him hard on the lips.
Blaine quickly reciprocated the kiss by kissing him back passionately. They traded sloppy kisses their tongues tangled and intertwined. Kurt’s hands grabbed Blaine’s ass , as Blaine ran his fingers through Kurt’s hair, pulling lightly.
“That’s quite enough!” Burt yelled. “You two get your faggot asses out of here!” he said angrily pushing Kurt away.
“Kurt I think it’s best for you to leave.” Carole said not even looking at her step son.
“Bye mom bye dad!” Kurt yelled. “Bye Finn, see you in school.” Kurt said hugging his step-brother.
“Okay, I’m just going to leave some cash on the table and grab some breadsticks to-go. Bye Mrs. and Mr. Hummel. Bye Finn.” Rachel laughed and they walked off.
“It was a pleasure seeing you all again.” Blaine shrugged and followed after Rachel and Kurt.
“Blaine, I’m so sorry for kissing you like that. I was angry and I just wanted to rub it in their face. It was really out of line and I apologize.” Kurt said softly as they walked to the car.
“Kurt, its fine. I more than enjoyed it. And to be honest I was about ready to kiss you, they’re jerks and I’m sorry you had to go through that. Don’t apologize for kissing me, we’re good.” Blaine smiled.
Oh we’re more than good. Blaine thought to himself as he got in the car.

Hahaha oh my god, your comment just made my day :D! And thanks I hope I feel better too :) When I got sick I was like well at least I'll be able to lay in bed all day and write fan fiction...wrong I've been like dead for four days. That's why I haven't been updating or if I do it'll only be like one short chapter at a time. Anyway when I get better I'll be back to updating both of my stories on a regular basis. And yes that kiss, completely random, but I felt as though it was necessary. I came up with that idea becuase I was leaving patient first and we were driving past chick-fil-a and I saw all the same sex couples making out I was like hmmmm Kurt should kiss Blaine in protest. Hahaha anywho glad you liked the kiss. And glad you like the story so far :)Thanks for reading!!!
BLAINE!!!! Bahaha i love Blaines creepy mind!!! And that was the funniest thing ever

i cannot tell you how disappointed i am in burt and carole's attitudes towards kurt. shame on the two of them :( i love how finn cares about kurt–no, his stepbrother. way to go finn!
Jerks. It pretty much broke my heart writting Kurt with an unsupportive family :( And yes Finn actually stands up for Kurt :) Thanks for reading!
Hahaha I know right!
Woot! XD Go boys. =P
Omggg I soo loved this chapter, I am so glad he kissed Blaine in front of Burt. I hate Burt and Carole. I know Finn was sticking up for Kurt but why didn't Rachel? If somebody called my brother that I would have went crazy.
I know I would too! And I don't even have a brother. But yeah I was just trying to stick with the cannon of how even though everyone has their backs, they don't always. Thanks for reading love!
