Author's Notes: Warnings for a little bit of language. So the first part is from Holden's point of view that evening, and the morning switches back to Kurt's.

That night Holden couldn’t fall asleep. He just kept thinking about how angelic Kurt’s voice was, and how adorable he was, and how his eyes are just breathtakingly beautiful, he was just breathtakingly beautiful.

Okay so maybe Holden was developing a little crush on his new roommate.

But who wouldn’t, Kurt was perfect.

Holden’s fallen for all the wrong people before, people who were taken, hell even people who straight. Who was he kidding, even straight people who were taken.

Let’s just say he was never very successful in the love department.

He’s never even had a boyfriend before, and probably won’t as long as he’s stuck in here.

But then there’s Kurt, perfect perfect Kurt.

He’s just lying there, across the room, in his bed. Fuck, he’s even adorable when he sleeps.

Okay maybe Holden’s little crush wasn’t so little.

But Kurt was taken.

And from what Holden could tell, Blaine was perfect.

He tried to play him down, tell himself he wasn’t that attractive, that he was a tool, that he was a jerk, and that he just wasn’t good enough for Kurt.

But from witnessing two phone calls with the boy he seemed to be the most genuine, loving, supporting boyfriend ever.

How could Holden compete with that.

And his voice. It was more than amazing. It was like sex. Yeah that’s a cliché way to describe it, but all other words failed in comparison to his voice.

Let’s face it Blaine was perfect, and Kurt loved him.

Why would Holden even stand a chance?

This put Holden into a dark mood. It didn’t help that it was late and his antidepressants were already out of his system.

This just sucked.

Nothing could ever go right for him.

There wasn’t even a point in trying.

And what’s the point in getting better if he’ll have nowhere to go when he gets out.

He has no family, he has no money, and he’s just a kid. What’s he supposed to do?

Uuuggghhh, he was so tired of this.

Tired of nothing going his way.

Tired of just everything.

Holden hadn’t realized he was crying until Kurt was at his bedside with a box of tissues.

“You’re okay Holden, its okay.” He said calmly sitting down next to him handing him a tissue.

“What’s wrong Holden? Did you have a bad dream?” Kurt asked concerned.

Holden could have said no, I was awake and just thinking about how I’ll never have you. But that’d be creepy so he chose not to.

“Yeah, I did.” He lied.

Kurt wiped away his tears and pulled him into a quick hug. He tousled his hair and said, “Its okay Holden, you’re okay. I’ve got you, there’s nothing to be scared of. Do you want to talk about it?”

“No t-thank you.” Holden said his cries being hiccups.

“Sssh, it’s okay.” Kurt soothed.’

“Thank you Kurt.” Holden smiled.

“It’s no problem, that’s how Blaine always comforted me.” Kurt replied.

Holden’s smile fell, “Oh, I see.”

“Come on, why don’t you go back to sleep. Everything’s okay. If you can’t sleep let me know and we can just talk or something it doesn’t matter.”

“Okay, thank you Kurt.” Holden said lying back down.

Kurt went back to bed and both boys fell asleep.

That morning they woke up and Holden went to grab breakfast with the girls while Kurt stayed back to call his parents.

“Hello?” Burt asked stifling a yawn.

“Hi dad!” Kurt said cheerfully when his dad picked up the phone. “I hope I didn’t wake you, I just wanted to call early enough to talk to you guys before you all went to work and Finn goes to school.”

“Hey buddy, you didn’t wake us. We were about to have breakfast. Would you like for me to put you on speaker?” Burt asked.

“Yes please.” Kurt responded.

“Hey bro! What’s up? Enjoying the nuthouse?” Finn asked chewing on his breakfast.

“Finn, I may not be able to see you. But for the love of god, don’t talk with your mouth full.” Kurt laughed.

“My bad.” Finn said swallowing his food.

“Hi sweetheart, how are you?” Carole asked.

“I’m doing better I guess.” He replied.

“That’s good.” She responded.

“Finn how’s school?” Kurt asked curiously.

“It sucks.” Finn laughed. “Everyone misses you.” He added.

“How’s glee club? Aren’t you guys preparing for nationals?” Kurt asked.

“Yeah we are. It sucks not having you there. Rachel won’t stop complaining. We really need you.” Finn said.

“It’s not like they needed me before, what’s the change?” Kurt laughed.

“Drama, everyone wants a solo at regional’s but they song we picked would have worked best for you to do, because it’s in your key.” Finn explained.

“And Ms. Rachel Berry can’t fill in?” Kurt laughed.

“She says it’s not the same without you. And that you guys were going to take New York by storm. And she can’t do it alone and shit like that.” Finn and Kurt laughed.

“Oh wow. Always the dramatic one.” Kurt teased.

“But we do all really miss you.” Finn smiled. “I hope you’re doing okay.”

“I think I might be able to be okay. This recovery process is hard but I think I’ll pull throw.”

“Attaboy.” Finn laughed.

“Oh god, you did not just say attaboy.” Kurt laughed.

“Well sweetie, I have to go to work so I’m going to say goodbye. I love you Kurt.”

“I love you too Carole.”

“I have to get to the shop, so I’ll talk to you later. Bye. Love you.”

“Love you too dad.”

“I have school, so I’ll talk to you later. Bye Kurt. Love you bro.”

“Love you too Finn.”

Kurt hung up the phone and made his way down to Doctor Andrews to get his medicine.

“Hey Kurt, how are you?” Doctor Andrews asked.

“I’m good.” Kurt smiled.

“That’s good. Here you go.” He said handing over a handful of pills and a glass of water.

“Thank you.”Kurt replied after taking his medicine.

“No problem, I’ll see you in group therapy in about half an hour.”

“Okay thank you.”

With that Kurt made his way back to his room to get dressed and ready for group therapy.

He wondered what it’d be like.

Yes his new friends were nice, and they carried on great conversations, but what would it be like here?

Where they all just going to start explaining everything that was wrong with them?

That be a little weird.

And Kurt didn’t know if he was ready to talk about details regarding his issues.

But he guessed it was a start to the recovery process.

And after all, all he wanted was to recover.

End Notes: TBC.
