“Last song, it’s a good one.” Blaine laughed.
“Oh god.” Kurt sighed.
“Why are you guys singing him songs like these?” Kim asked.
“We were picking the songs for the performance today and almost every song these two suggested wouldn’t be appropriate for a hospital setting. So David suggested when we meet up with Kurt and we could sing them with him because he’d get a kick out of them. We don’t mean them as offensive, and we are certainly not making fun of his condition. Kurt always makes a joke out of serious things and we figured if we did something similar for him he’s appreciate it. When we sang for him we weren’t really calling him crazy or saying he’s suicidal because of beautiful girls, and we know he’s not a basket case. We’re just joking around with him. I think you’ll like the next song though.” Blaine smiled.
“So you’re not making fun of him for being here?” Kim asked.
“Oh no, not at all. In fact it was my suggestion that he come here so he could get the help he needs, we were just trying to be entertaining.” He explained.
“Oh okay.” Kim smiled.
“In fact, when I sang the songs earlier at the concert, they were songs I was singing to Kurt. I was serious about them. Now we’re just joking and having a good time.” Blaine added.
“Ready?” David asked.
“Okay Kurt, had I been invited to your intervention this would have been the song I would have sang to you.” Wes smiled devilishly.
The music began to play and Kurt couldn’t help but laugh.
“They tried to make me go to rehab but I said, no, no, no. Yes I’ve been black but I when I come back you’ll know, know, know.” Wes sang cheerfully.
“I ain’t got the time, and if my daddy thinks I’m fine, he’s tried to make o to rehab but I won’t go, go, go. David said as he danced around the room.
They motioned for Kurt to sing and he took over, “I’d rather be at home with Blaine, I ain’t got seventeen days. Cause there’s nothin’ there’s nothin’ you can teach me that I can’t learn from Mr. Hathaway.” Kurt laughed.
Blaine pretended to raise a glass as he sang, “I didn’t get a lot in class, but I know it don’t come in a shot glass!” Blaine sang.
Kurt motioned for Holden and the girls to sing, and Bethany and Kim took over as Holden watched. “They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said no, no, no.” Bethany sang. “Yes I’ve been black but when I come back you’ll know, know, know.” Kim sang.
“I ain’t got the time, and if my daddy thinks I’m fine, he’s tried to make o to rehab but I won’t go, go, go. David sang.
“The man said, ‘Why do you think you’re here?’ and I said, ‘I got no idea’.” Kim sang as Bethany giggled.
Kurt pulled Blaine close to him so they were dancing together as he sang, “I’m gonna, I’m gonna lose my baby, so I always keep a bottle near.”
Blaine pet Kurt’s hair and sang, “He said, ‘I just think you’re depressed.’ This me, yeah baby, and the rest.”
“They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said no, no, no.” Bethany sang. “Yes I’ve been black but when I come back you’ll know, know, know.” Kim sang.
Blaine danced around singing, “I don’t ever wanna drink again, I just, ooh, I just need a friend.” He said leaning on Wes.
“I’m not gonna spend ten weeks, have everyone think I’m on the mend. It’s not just my pride, it’s just ‘till these tears have dried.” Wes sang pretending to wipe away tears.
David sang.
The song came to the end and everyone laughed and hugged each other.
“That was really fun.” Bethany smiled.
“Yeah it was.” Kim added.
“Thanks guys, I liked the songs.” Kurt smiled.
“Good, we’re glad.” David said pulling Kurt into a hug.
“So are you okay?” Wes asked Kurt.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I think I’m going to be okay.” Kurt smiled.
“That’s great to hear Kurt.” Wes said happily.
“The rest of the warbler kids are in the cafeteria with patients, do you guys want to go with us?” Bethany asked politely.
“That sounds great.” David smiled taking Bethany’s hand and telling her to lead the way.
“Are you coming Kurt?” Kim asked.
“I think I’m going to stay back and have some alone time with Blaine, but we’ll catch up with you before the warblers have to leave.” Kurt replied.
After everyone left the room it was now just Kurt and Blaine.
“Alone time aye?” Blaine said with a wink.
