“Holden wake up! Get dressed! Come on let’s go downstairs!” Kurt yelled excitedly shaking Holden.
“What’s wrong?!?” Holden asked as he was jolted awake.
“Nothing's wrong, now come on and get dressed we have therapy and then the concert!!! I’m so excited!!!! Let’s go!!!!” Kurt said happily.
“Oh my God, you are ridiculously adorable right now. We don’t have therapy for another two hours. Let me sleep.” Holden sighed lying back down.
“I’m just so excited!!!” Kurt squealed.
“Ugghh fine, I’m awake.” Holden sighed.
“Yay yay yay!!! I’m so excited!!!!” Kurt beamed.
“Yes, I can tell.” Holden laughed.
“Aren’t you excited?!?” Kurt asked practically jumping up and down.
“Not really, why?” Holden asked.
“Because Blaine’s coming!” Kurt said cheerfully.
“Okay? We have different groups coming into the hospital all the time to do stuff to ‘cheer us up’” Holden replied coldly.
“Well I’m still excited!!!!” Kurt cheered.
Holden just laughed. “Come on. I’ll go change and we can grab breakfast with the girls before we go to our group session.” Holden smiled.
“Okey dokey!” Kurt said happily.
Kurt walked in front of the mirror in their room while Holden was in the bathroom changing.
“Holden do you think I’m attractive?” Kurt asked.
Holden practically choked while brushing his teeth. “Yes very. Why?” He responded.
“I haven’t seen Blaine in practically a week. What if he doesn’t like the way I look? What if I’m not good enough for him? I should have never agreed to meet him. He’s going to take one look at me sitting in the audience and he’s going to realize how repulsive I am and he’s going to dump me. He’ll probably do it right there on stage too. Uggghhh I hate myself.” Kurt cried.
“Kurt. Blaine loves you. I don’t think he’d do that.” Holden laughed stepping out of the bathroom to find Kurt pacing in front of the mirror.
“Why would he love me? I’m too fat and I’m too pale. And I’m covered in scars and my hair isn’t working for me today. And I’m just awful. Ugghhh.” Kurt sighed.
“Kurt look at yourself. You are beautiful. And even if you weren’t Blaine loves you for who you are. You’re a great person Kurt.” Holden smiled.
“You don’t think I’m fat and ugly?” Kurt asked wiping his eyes.
“No Kurt, I don’t. I think you’re beautiful. Now wipe you’re tears and lets go get breakfast.” Holden replied.
“I don’t think I can eat anything. I feel sick. I think I’m going to go get my medicine and go for a run before therapy.” Kurt sighed.
“Okay have fun. I’ll see you later.” Holden shrugged.
Kurt got his medicine and ran on the treadmill until it was almost time for group therapy.
He showered and got dressed, he fixed his hair and moisturized. He took a look in the mirror and he was okay with what he saw. Maybe he should run more often he thought to himself.
He entered the lobby and sat down next to Kim as their group session started.
The first half an hour everyone talked about things they’ve going through and how they’ve been feeling lately.
Kurt must have been feeling good because he even shared a little.
Not really much, just about how he got upset yesterday but went downstairs and ran and felt better.
Doctor Jessica was very proud that he hasn’t cut and so was he.
The last half an hour Doctor Jessica went over rules about the upcoming performance.
It wasn’t often that the patients from the psychiatric ward were allowed to attend things like this.
And then finally it was time.
Kurt could barely contain himself.
They four of them accompanied by Doctor Jessica and Doctor Andrews made their way down to the main lobby were the familiar blue blazer clad boys were setting up.
“Ahhh there he is!” Kurt whispered excitedly to Bethany pointing to a handsome boy with loosely gelled jet black curls and eyes of gold.
“He is gorgeous!” Bethany cooed.
“Which one is he?” Kim asked.
Kurt and Blaine both pointed excitedly.
“Damn, he’s hot.” Kim laughed.
“I know.” Kurt smiled happily.
After setting up a CD player and gathering the warblers together everything was set up and it was time to go.
Blaine turned around and searched the crowd until his eyes met the piercing blue eyes of his Kurt.
He could barely contain his excitement as he waved.
Kurt mouthed an I love you and Blaine put his hands together in the shape of a heart.
“Wes, I found him! He’s over there!” Blaine said to Wes.
“Awwh I see him! Damn he’s skinny.” Wes replied.
“He’s anorexic, douche bag.” Blaine laughed.
“Right, sorry I forgot.” Wes smiled.
“It’s okay.” Blaine reassured him.
“Let’s get this over with so we can go over and talk to him.” David said from behind them.
They both nodded and everyone moved to the side, Blaine taking the center stage.
“Kurt, there he is!” Kim said happily.
“I know!!!!!!” Kurt replied.
“Hello Ladies and Gentleman. We are the Dalton Academy Warblers, and today it is our pleasure to perform for you. I’d like to thank the lovely directors and staff of this hospital for allowing us to be here today. And thank you to all of you for listening.” Blaine said charmingly.
“Okay enjoy.” Blaine added as the music began to play in the background.
Blaine stepped forward and the warblers filled in behind him.
“Seems the only one who doesn’t see your beauty. Is the face in the mirror looking back at you. You walk around here thinking you’re not pretty. But that’s not true… ‘Cause I know you…”
“Hold on baby, you’re losing it, the water’s high, you’re jumping into it. And letting go and no one knows…”
Blaine stepped back as all the warblers sang, “That you cry but you don’t tell anyone, that you might not be the golden one, And you’re tied together with a smile but you’re coming undone.”
Blaine took the lead again singing, “I guess it’s true that love was all you wanted. ‘Cause you’re giving it away like it’s extra change. Hoping it will end up in his pocket. But he leaves you like a penny in the rain.”
Oh. ‘cause it’s not his price to pay. Not his price to pay.”
“Hold on baby, you’re losing it, the water’s high, you’re jumping into it. And letting go and no one knows…”
The warblers came together again singing, “That you cry but you don’t tell anyone, that you might not be the golden one, And you’re tied together with a smile but you’re coming undone.”
Blaine stepped forward once again closing the song, “You’re tied together with a smile but you’re coming undone.”
The patients all clapped and the warblers moved to change songs.
