Author's Notes: Warnings for: Eating disorders, self harm, depression, other mental illness.I'm not sure what to say about this chapter really. Just thank you for reading. And if you read the other first two parts and you're reading this one I guess thank you for sticking around :)

After Blaine left Kurt found himself just standing in the lobby staring at the door Blaine exited from.

He’s not sure how long he stood there staring into space, but when he turned around he was greeted by a man in a lab coat of some sort. Probably a doctor, he suspected.

“Hello, you must be Kurt Hummel. I am doctor Andrews.” A tall gentleman introduced himself to Kurt.

“Yes, hi, I’m Kurt. It’s nice to meet you.” Kurt smiled politely.

“Here, let me escort you to the floor you will be staying on.” He said gesturing for Kurt to follow him.

They got onto the elevator and he pushed an unlabeled button. Kurt watched as the lights counted the floors they were passing. He assumed his floor was at the very top, and he assumed correctly.

Doctor Andrews stepped out and Kurt followed him down a seemingly deserted wing. And if that wing wasn’t a ghost town, the corridor they turned down was even emptier.

“This is the psychiatric ward.” The doctor explained gesturing to the small dreary hallway.

“Okay, thank you.” Kurt replied. He wasn’t sure what exactly he was thanking him for but he didn’t know what else to say.

“Shall I show you to your room?” He asked.

“Sure.” Kurt replied.

They walked further down the hallway and the doctor stopped in front of a locked door.

Please don’t be a padded room. Please don’t be a padded room. Please don’t be a padded room. Kurt pleaded.

“Here we are.” Doctor Andrews announced as he unlocked the door and showed Kurt the small gray bedroom. “It’s not too cheery, but you can do whatever you want with it.” He added. “This side of the room is yours; the other belongs to your roommate.” He said pointing to the right side.

Kurt knew exactly what his decorations would consist of, countless pictures of one Blaine Anderson.

“Okay, thank you.” He responded.

“On the wall here is your weekly schedule, you’ll notice each morning the cafeteria serves breakfast, after breakfast depending on what day of the week it is you’ll either have group therapy or individual therapy, then lunch, and after lunch on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, you will have your private therapy sessions with Doctor Sandra Burke. Then dinner is offered in the evening. Curfew is 11pm, and any free time you have in between you can do whatever you want. You can either hang out with the other patients, or you can do your school work, or whatever. Any questions before I take you down to your first group therapy session?” Doctor Andrews explained.

“Yeah, um what about visiting hours?” Kurt asked.

“Well if anyone wants to visit you, they’ll need to call about a week or so in advance and you can meet with them on Saturday mornings from 9 to 12.” Doctor Andrews answered.

“Okay and what about outgoing or incoming phone calls?” Kurt asked.

“You are allowed an hour of phone calls every day, but if you exceed that or if you have a relapse your phone call and visitor privileges can be rebuked.” He explained.

“Oh okay.” Kurt said.

“Come on, I’ll show you to the group therapy room and introduce you to the other patients. They’re nice people, I’m sure you’ll make friends.” He said.

Kurt was shown to a small little lobby at the end of the psychiatric ward. Three other patients and a women in a lab coat were seated in a circle on the floor.

“You must be Kurt. I’m Doctor Jessica. It’s a pleasure to meet you. Please have a seat and join us and we’ll go around making introductions.” She said gesturing for him to sit down.

Kurt sat down and tried to smile.

“We don’t we begin, Bethany, why don’t you begin.” She said pointing to a pretty blonde girl who looked about Kurt’s age.

“Hello, I’m Bethany.” She began.

Kurt almost expected the typical monotone ‘hello Bethany’ that’d you’d get at some self help group or AA meeting but it didn’t come. Everyone just smiled.

Bethany continued. “I’m 19, and all my life I have wanted to be a model. This led to me developing bulimia, which I have been fighting for about seven years now. My family brought me here last summer and I have been making great progress. I haven’t relapsed since the holidays.” She smiled.

Doctor Jessica pointed to the petite Asian girl sitting next to Bethany to go next.

“Hello, I am Kim. I’m 20 and I suffer from Schizophrenia. I have for as long as I can remember. My mother brought me here two years ago. I can’t say that I’m recovering well, but I have good days and bad days. Today however, is a very good day. But other days I’m so out of it I can barely tell the difference from what is real and what isn’t, and it often leads to a mental breakdown.” Kim said sadly.

Next an attractive blonde boy seated next to Kurt began to speak, “Hi. I’m Holden, I’m 17 and I have depression and suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, likely caused from watching my parents and older siblings being murdered during a break in while I hid in the next room. Like Kim, I have good days and bad days. I practically have me depression under control now, but I still have flashbacks and night terrors from that evening. I’ve been here since I was 15 and I have had a suicidal thought in a month.” He said with no emotion.

“Kurt, why don’t you tell us about yourself?” Doctor Jessica encouraged him.

“Hi, I’m Kurt. I’m almost 17 and I’m pretty fucked up. I have several cases of depression and anxiety, I have PTSD after being raped and almost murdered. Um let’s see, I’m anorexic and my depression has lead to my cutting and attempted suicides. Today is my first day here and it’s been”-Kurt looked at the clock on the wall-“Thirty-six minutes since the last time I cut myself.” Kurt said trying not to laugh at how messed up he sounded.

The other patients all kind of awkwardly stared at him for a few minutes until Holden spoke up. “It’s nice to meet you Kurt.” He said extending his hand.

Kurt shook his hand and the girls all gasped as their eyes flickered down to his still bleeding yet bandaged wrist.

Bethany and Kim both hugged him and told him it was nice to meet him.

Group therapy for the day was over because today was basically just an introduction day and Kurt went back to his room.

He unpacked his bag and placed his things in the drawer beside his bed. He hung up all of the pictures of him and Blaine he brought with him to decorate his side of the room.

He smiled when he looked around and saw that the wall was pretty much a collage of him and Blaine. He frowned a little when he saw that his roommate’s side was completely blank.

You could tell by the unmade bed that it was lived in, but the walls were blank, no pictures no nothing.

He sat on his bed and stared up at the ceiling which was probably the only area on his side of the room that wasn’t covered in pictures, he smiled too himself and decided he’d need to change that.

He laid back and dialed Blaine’s phone number to tell him about his first day.

End Notes: TBC.
