Author's Notes: No warning. Really just a lot of comforting from friends.

Once back inside the auditorium all eyes were on him.

He felt so self conscious just standing there, were they judging him because of the cuts? Because of Finn told them? Did they hate him now all because of this? He couldn’t help that he was depressed. Why were they all looking at him?

“Oh my God, Kurt, are you okay?” Blaine said as he run over to him and wrapped his arms around him.

Oh that’s why they were looking at him. He was a crumpled mess, his eye was blackened and his visible body parts were covered in bruises. Yup, that’s why they were looking.

“Oh yeah. I’m fine. Just another incident in the hallway.  But my meeting with Ms. Pillsbury went well so that’s something positive.” He said in an attempt to change the subject.

“Kurt, what did he do to you?” Mercedes said her eyes full of hurt.

“Well he beat me a little, tried to rape me, beat me some more, and then. You’re never gonna guess what he did…he cried.” Kurt replied.

“He cried?” Puck asked confused.

“He tried to rape you?” Everyone else asked all at once even more confused.

“Oh yeah, well there was that. He was just kissing me and forcing himself on me, and stuff.” Kurt said quietly.

“How did you get away? Did you kick him in the balls? Is that why he cried?” Finn asked laughing.

“No, he cried because I told him I would never love him. He kept saying ‘why won’t you love me’ and I just told him straight up that I would never love him, in fact I hate him. And then he just moved away from me and cried. I felt kind of bad for him.” Kurt said sadly.

“What a pussy.” Puckerman said bluntly.

“But you’re okay, right Kurt?” Mr. Schue asked with worry in his voice.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks.” Kurt said. He was actually really thankful of them, although they didn’t like help or anything, they were there to listen to him and comfort him.

After a few minutes of awkward silence everyone started to go home.

“Hey Kurt, can I come over? We need to have a lady chat.” Mercedes said as Kurt and Blaine began to walk out.

“Sure Mercedes. We were just going to grab coffee, but I can just make a pot of coffee back at the house and we can go to my room and talk.” Kurt replied.

“Sure, that sounds good.” She said.

“Oh, baby, you don’t mind the change of plans do you?” Kurt asked Blaine.

“Oh, no of course not. I do enjoy you guy’s fabulous lady chats. They’re always quite the tear jerkers.” Blaine teased.

Blaine was happy that Kurt went along with the newly formed plan. This had been Finn’s plan, and it seemed to be working out. He’d just excuse himself and leave them to continue talking while he talked to Burt and Carole.

Once back at their house Kurt made a pot of coffee and they each poured drinks and went down to Kurt's room.

Even Finn joined them in lying on Kurt’s bed and talking.

“I don’t want to talk ‘Cedes. Can’t we just put on sad music and cry?” Kurt asked.

“Nope.” She said smiling as she laid down cuddling against him.

Kurt was sandwiched between Blaine and Mercedes and both were really big on cuddling. Not that he would complain, he felt like he needed to be hugged.

Finn lay sideways at the foot of the bed and began talking. “So Kurt, you said your meeting with Ms. Pillsbury went well? What happened?” Finn asked curiously.

“Well she and I discussed reasons for me wanting to cut, which I explained to her it was sort of an outlet for my aggression-” he started

“I liked you punching walls as an outlet better than doing that to yourself.” Finn said gesturing to the holes still covering his wall. Mercedes just laughed “Oh my God, white boy, you did not do that to the wall.” She asked in disbelief.

“Yeah, I did.” He said lightly. “So yeah we talked about more positive outlets I could use, like singing and stuff.” He said as the others nodded.

“And then we talked about my past with depression. Which Finn has already shared with you guys, thank you Finn.” Kurt said coldly but deep down he knew it was for the better that the others knew too. “And then we talked about me getting professional help, and she even said she could refer me to a doctor. So I think things will get better.” He finished.

Blaine opened his mouth and began to say something but was cut off by Kurt “Blaine Anderson! If you even think about quoting the Trevor Project or saying anything along the lines of “it gets better” I swear I will kick your ass.” Kurt teased.

“I wasn’t going to. Okay I was so going to.” Blaine joked. “I-I just want you to know, that what you’re going through right now, it does get better.” Blaine said faking a serious tone and facial expression before giggling.

“I warned you.” Kurt said before pushing Blaine off the bed.

Blaine hit the ground with a thud and pretended to be upset, but got back up and cuddled into Kurt’s arm that wasn’t around Mercedes.

“Hey guys.” Kurt said in all seriousness. “Thank you. Thank you for listening, and for comforting me, and for just being her for me when I need you. I love you guys.” He said his eyes tearing up a little bit.

“And we love you too!” Mercedes said as she kissed him on the cheek.

“We’ll always be here for you.” Blaine said kissing his other cheek.

“Yeah dude, just come to us if you need anything.” Finn added in as he awkwardly patted his leg.

Kurt was happy his friends were there for him, he really needed them right now. Like really really needed them.

Although he got caught cutting and he knows it’s really bad, he still couldn’t help not wanting to do it again. He knew Ms. Pillsbury gave him so good ideas for positive outlets, but none could compare to the way cutting made him feel.

His friends would surely be disappointed in him, but maybe this time he’d be able to hide it better.

He shook these thoughts away and cuddled further into Blaine’s side pulling Mercedes along with him.

“Don’t think like that Kurt.” He kept telling himself.

But he couldn’t help that he thought like that.

Things weren’t getting better, in fact they would become for worse in the foreseeable future when Karofsky found out that he had told people. That he had told people, and then lied about telling people.

He shuddered at the thought of what might happen when he did find out.

Blaine must have sensed his uneasiness because he held him tighter and rubbed circles on his back in an attempt to sooth him as he lightly whispered “It’ll be okay.” Into his ear.

Was Blaine right? Would things be “okay”?

Maybe.

But then again maybe not.

End Notes: TBC.

Poor Kurt's afraid and has every right to be. Karofsky's going to have his head OO especially since his friends never seem to 'have his back' like they say they do.
