Again Kurt wasn’t at lunch today so I was a little worried. I asked Finn where Kurt was but he just shrugged and said he might be in the library.

I was on my way to the school library but Mercedes stopped me in the hall.

“Hey Blaine” She smiled sweetly.

“Hey ‘Cedes, what’s up?” I asked and she fell into step next to me as I made my way to the library.

“Well I just wanted to tell you your song was beautiful.” She giggled.

“Awwh thanks ‘Cedes. Glad you liked it.” I smiled thinking of Kurt.

Of course that’s not she was thinking about. “So I think you’re really cute, and the way you sang to me was really romantic. So I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me this weekend.” She blushed.

“Umm, uh, um.” I stammered.

Oh my God, what do I say to that?

“Oh hey Kurt!” Mercedes smiled.

Okay thank you, distraction.

“Hey guys, what are you two doing?” He smiled.

“Oh we were just talking.” I shrugged.

“Kurt, love you to death. But beat it. You’re ruining a moment.” Mercedes stage whispered to Kurt.

Kurt laughed, “Okey dokey ‘Cedes. My bad. See you guys later.” He smiled at me and walked away.

“So you were saying? Do you want to hang out?” She asked again.

Shit I need another distraction.

“Fuck!” Kurt yelled as Karofsky and Azimio walked past him dropping their empty slushie cups on the ground and laughing.

Well I didn’t mean that kind of distraction.

“Oh Kurt” I sighed running over to help the boy.

“Come on let’s clean you up” I smiled grabbing his hand and leading him to the bathroom.

I pulled him into the bathroom and stood him in front of the sink. I wiped his eyes and he smiled.

“You know grape is my favorite flavor.” I laughed. And playfully licked his face.

“Blaine Anderson, did you just lick me?” he laughed.

“Mmmm, you taste good. But don’t you always.” I laughed and licked his lips.

He smiled and I pulled him into a passionate kiss.

“OH MY GOD!” A voice yelled from the doorway and I turned around quickly to find Mercedes standing there. Apparently she had followed us in. And now she had just witnessed what just happened.

Kurt blushed feverously and covered his face in my shoulder.

“Um so um, hi Mercedes?” I tried and she just laughed.

“Hey Mercedes, Blaine was just helping me clean up. But he slipped in some slushie and landed on my face?” Kurt laughed.

“Haha really that’s what you’re going with?” I laughed and Kurt pushed my shoulder.

“Truth.” Mercedes stated putting her hands on her hips like the true diva she is.

“I’m gay and I’m dating Kurt.” I said all in one breath.

“Why didn’t you just tell me silly?” Mercedes laughed.

“No one at school knows I’m gay.” I sighed.

“Why not? We’d accept you.” She smiled.

“Yeah, you guys would. But the rest of the school wouldn’t. You see the way they treat Kurt? No offense.” I laughed.

“Well you shouldn’t have to hide who you are. And you shouldn’t have lied saying the song was to me. And Kurt I’m mad at you, you said he liked me and to go for it, when really you two are dating and I made a fool of myself.” She frowned slightly.

“Mercedes I swear I didn’t know when I told you to go for it.” Kurt said softly.

“This is just like the time I liked you but you lied about being in love with Rachel rather than telling me you were gay.” Mercedes laughed.

“So are we cool?” I asked really hoping she wasn’t mad.

“We’re cool, and your secrets safe with me.” She smiled.

“Really?” I asked because just really?

“Yeah, I guess I’m just happy Kurt found someone like you.” She smiled.

She left and I helped Kurt clean off more which led to more making out. But the bell rang and we returned to class.

After our afternoon classes we had glee club, I took my seat in between Kurt and Mercedes and everyone asked about Mercedes and my budding new relationship. We just looked at each other and smiled and Mercedes would respond with a ‘he’s not really my type’

Eventually Mr. Schue came in and greeted us; he grabbed a marker and wrote ‘love songs’ on the board. Everyone groaned and Rachel began speaking annoyingly about the perfect songs for her to sing to Finn.

“Hey Rachel?” Kurt turned around to talk to her.

“Yes?” She asked excited that someone was addressing her.

“Shut up.” He said as politely as one could.

Rachel let out an appalled huff and went back to rambling about song selections.

“Lady Hummel’s just made because no one will ever love him.” Santana said from across the room.

Bitch.

“I love him.” I said clearly, punctuating the statement by giving him a kiss on the cheek.

“WHAT?!?”

“YOU LOVE HIM?!?”

“YOU’RE GAY???”

“BUT WHAT?”

“WHAT!!???”

“I love you too.”

Everyone questioned what I had just said. This wasn’t the way I imagined coming out to them. Not in the least bit. They didn’t sound angry, more so confused. Everyone was talking at once. So many questions. Everyone getting louder and louder.

But absolutely none of that mattered because Kurt loved me too.
