"Hey, daddy?"
"Yes, Vida?"
"Before you tuck me in, can I ask you something?"
"Sure. What is it, honey?"
"Were the sun and the moon always together?"
"What do you mean?" The question took Kurt by surprise, but nonetheless happy. We're finally at this point of the story,Kurt thought.
"I mean, when did the sun finally figured out that the moon was important to him? That the moon was his everything?"
"Well..." Kurt shifted uncomfortably in his sit and said, "it did take him a while to admit that there's an attraction between the two."
"I think we should stop seeing each other."
"Wait, what? What are you talking about, Blaine? Why should we stop now?" Kurt asked, as if it's the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard. "All we've ever done together was grab some coffee together, like what we are doing now, because 'you know, Kurt, it's not really a date since we're not dating.' Now, you're saying we can't even hang out anymore?"
"What was that? A few? What are you talking about? Kurt, we come to Lima Bean every Tuesday and Thursday, for the past three months!" Now Blaine's getting a little worked up too.
"Yeah, yeah. Details." Kurt said dismissively.
"And we go shopping every other weekend; basically spend all our free times together, and you call this nothing?" Blaine asked, unbelieving.
"Well, you tell me. You're the one who came up with the brilliant idea of stopping whatever this is that we are doing, since it's clearly not a date or anything." Kurt muttered the last part out, the wound from rejection was still fresh.
Letting out a long sigh, Blaine wondered out loud. "It's just, what are we doing, Kurt? I know I told you already that I'm not good with the whole boyfriend thing-
"Clearly. The entire serenade at the GAP store wasn't enough."
"-but after you pointed out it's basically what we've been doing, I can't think of being anything else but yours." Blaine continued, choosing to ignore the disruption.
"Wait, hold it. What are you trying to say?" Kurt is getting confused. First Blaine is saying the two to them should stop hanging out, and now with what ever Blaine is trying to convey, Kurt wants to be a hundred percent sure before he gets his hopes up again.
"You are not making this easy." Blaine whined.
"It's not suppose to be easy," Kurt murmured. "Karma's a bitch, I know."
"Okay, here goes nothing." Blaine said louder this time while holding on to Kurt's free hand, "Kurt, will you do me the honor and be my boyfriend, so we have even more excuses to spend time together?"
After a long pause with no reply, Blaine let go of Kurt's hand abruptly as if he had been burned and continued on saying, "or I believe we should stop this altogether, before I do something stupid that would make you hate me."
"Shh...stop. You're mumbling."
"Shit, sorry."
"And is that a threat in the end that I'm hearing?"
"Maybe? Yes? I mean no! A threat? I would never." Blaine was becoming even more uncertain, letting out a dubious chuckle.
"Mumbling."
"Right. Stopping now."
"Finally!" Kurt suddenly stood up from his seat.
"Wha-" But before Blaine can finish, Kurt's soft lips were on his.
"Took you long enough."
"So, was the sun an idiot for making the moon wait so long?"
"Watch your language, young lady-
"Sorry." Vida said meekly.
"-but yes, he is definitely." Kurt answered seriously, "the worst kind."
"But they were happy right?"
"Very," Kurt agreed. "Sadly, there's always a catch."
"What?"
"You'll see. Now good night."
