"Vida, honey," Kurt said, fully opening the half closed door. "Are you ready for your story tonight?"
"Yes!" The little girl said excitedly, bouncing up and down on her bed.
"Now, now, settle down. This is a bedtime story, it's not meant to wake you up more." Kurt laughed out as he got himself comfortable and begins.
"They are polar opposites of each other." Kurt said with a nostalgic smile, "the sun casts a warm ray that tends to attract and welcome others in, while the moon usually blocks and distants itself, making it hard for others to get close. Making them lose all of their interests," he finished softly. "But that somehow had drawn the sun towards it even more, and vice versa."
"So you're new?" He asked, as he took a sip from his cup.
"Not sure how that's any of your concern, but yes, if you must know, I'll be starting here soon." Kurt answered defiantly, acting as nonchalant as possible. But his hands that tightened around the coffee cup told the shorter boy otherwise.
"Oh, nothing," came a casual reply. "I'm sure they just forgot to mention to me that there will be a new student transferring soon. I'm one of the prefects by the way, and the principal here is my uncle; in case you have any more questions that needed to be asked." Enjoying, maybe a little too much, by the way he was making the pale boy blush from getting caught in his lies.
"He was so rude and arrogant!" Kurt examined loudly, getting lost in his own story. "And always have that stupid, charming smile on his face! And don't even get me started on his damn attitude. Thinking everyone is in love with him and should start worshipping him, the most perfect being in the universe. That stupid, know-it-all, Blaine Fucking Anderson!"
"Ooh...Daddy! You said a bad word." Vida giggled, snapping Kurt out of his rant.
Oops.
"Oh, hush you," he said fondly, "but don't you dare let me catch you repeating it."
"But you said it..." She pouted out.
"Which is exactly why you shouldn't." Before giving her a kiss on the forehead and getting up. "I think it's time for you to sleep. Goodnight, honey."
"But I'm not tired yet! Please, just a little more?"
"No, Vida. Sleep, now." Kurt said sternly, before hurrying to get out of the room.
" 's not fair..." Vida said quietly after her daddy had left, but nonetheless fall into a deep slumber.
