Cooper swallowed the lump in his throat and tried to remain calm when Jenna spoke again.
I know you're thinking of hanging up, Cooper. You do, and Blaine pays the price.
"L-Let him go. Please." He reached out, fingers curling around the arm of the couch, nails digging into the fabric.
Can't do that honey, I'm his mother. I need to take care of him. Jenna snapped. but hey, I'm feeling nice right now, so I'll let you talk to him again -- even though he broke a rule.
He could hear Blaine yell that he hadn't broken any rule, and the line went dead -- but not before he heard his little brother scream something about California.
The phone fell from his hand and landed on the carpet.
Oh God.
"Coop?" Colin had walked in the room, and was watching his grandson aprehensively. "What is it?"
Not California. Not there...he'll die...
"Cooper!" He could feel Colin shaking him, but he couldn't snap out of it. He couldn't focus. "Cooper come on, it's okay -- was that Jenna? Did she let you talk to Blaine?"
Cooper exhaled and then told his grandfather what had happened.
"I think she's going to try to take him back to California." he said tearfully. "and I can't do anything about it!"
Colin rubbed his back, tried to comfort him as much as he could.
"If that's what she's gonna try, we'll find a way to stop her, Coop." he said softly.
The younger Anderson leaned into his grandfather, not bothering to stop his tears.
"I don't want him to die, Grandpa," he sobbed. "Please don't let Blaine die --"
"Ssshhh." Colin grabbed his hand and held on tight. "Blaine is not going to die, Cooper." he said firmly. "We will find him."
---
Blaine waited until his mother went to bed to try and grab the phone again. Screw taking risks, he was not going to die like this.
His head pounded and he felt dizzy as he got slowly to his feet and made his way across the carpet. As quietly as he could, he picked up the whole phone, praying the cord wouldn't catch, and brought it into the bathroom, along with one of those complimentary notepads he'd seen. He sat on the floor and placed the phone in front of him before reading the logo on the notepad.
Sunny Motel -- Westerville, Ohio.
He was no more than twenty minutes from his grandparents' old house.
His hand shook as he picked up the reciever and dialled a number before putting it to his ear.
9-1-1, What is your emergency?
Blaine let out a sigh of relief and leaned his head against the closed door.
"BLAINE!"
No! the teenager nearly dropped the reciever. She couldn't have heard him -- it was impossible -- he knew how heavy of a sleeper she was. He felt the door shove against him, jarring his aching head.
Sir? Are you --?
"My name is Blaine Anderson!" he shouted frantically. He was not going to give up without letting someone know he was or had been here. He shoved back against the door. "My mother Jenna Anderson is mentally unstable and she took me from my home against my will!"
"You are in so much trouble when I get in there!" Jenna screamed.
Blaine? he struggled to hear the man on the other end of the line. Blaine listen to me really closely okay? Can you tell me where you are?
"S-Sunny Motel -- it's in Westerville." he gasped as Jenna shoved against the door again, this time hard enough to propel him forward, head hitting the edge of the bathtub. Pain flared across his forehead as he slumped to the floor. "P-Please..."
Blaine I'm sending the police and an ambulance -- are you hurt?
The reciever fell from his fingers and he felt his mother drag him by his ankles out of the bathroom."Please..." he whispered again before blacking out.

At six in the morning, around the time Kurt did his morning moisturizing routine, Finn came barreling into his bedroom, eyes wide.
"Kurt the morning news -- it's Blaine!"
Kurt dropped his moisturizer on the vanity and tore downstairs where he parked himself right in front of the TV.
"Police are investigating the kidnapping of Blaine Anderson, who was taken from his grandparents' home in Lima a day and a half ago, by his mother, Jenna Anderson. According to Blaine's family Ms. Anderson is mentally unstable and has been prone to physical violence and lost custody of both her children for abuse and neglect. A nine-one-one call came in at three this morning from Sunny Motel in Westerville from Blaine."
Kurt wanted to clamp his hands over his ears and not listen, but he couldn't. He watched a transcript pop up on screen, playing an excerpt from the call.
"You are in so much trouble when I get in there!"
Blaine? Blaine listen to me really closely okay? Can you tell me where you are?
"S-Sunny Motel -- it's in Westerville. P-Please..."
Blaine I'm sending the police and an ambulance -- are you hurt?
...
"Please..."
Kurt felt numb as he listened to the reporter describe how officers had gone to the motel but had found nothing except a little blood, which was being tested to determine whose it was.
He passed out.

This story is killing me! I can't believe that his Dad is in on it (at least peripherally). And what on earth is her motivation?? I am curious to see where this goes. Will it end when Blaine is rescued (he will be rescued, right?!)? Or will you also be dealing with the after affect on Blaine, Cooper, the family, etc.? Update soon!!
Poor blainers! Great update!:D
BLAAIIIIINNNEEEE!!!!!!!
omg this tension is killing me cant wait to find out wat happens next
That crazy animal! I want to know, need to know what she's doing to him and pronto! Where did the blood come from? My heart breaks for Cooper and how he's scared he's about to lose the baby brother that he was able to keep safe. And for Kurt. But especially Blaine, I want so badly to know what's happening to him.
