Chapter 12:

Thomas leaned back in his chair, phone to his ear.

"Jenna stop your bitching for five seconds and let me talk!" he barked. "Good. The next time you do that, I'm hanging up." A brief pause and then, "Okay so even if I help you, you know we're not getting back together. Good. And so we're clear, all I'm doing is getting you into my parents' house on Saturday. I don't want to know whatever else you're gonna do. Okay. Bye."

He hung up and glanced around his small living room.Part of him was dying to know what Jenna had in store for his parents...and their children. Another part of him screamed for him to stay out of it...to not get her into Colin and Heather's house.

Maybe she was trying to reconcile with Cooper...maybe she wanted to apologize to Blaine for the hell she'd put him through -- for the trauma she'd inflicted.

He doubted it.

---

Kurt was trying not to lose his cool.

Blaine had tried calling at least four different times, and he had not picked up any of them.

Why didn't his boyfriend understand? Sebastian had tried to physically hurt him. Blaine had taken the tainted slushie for him instead, and had to have surgery on his eye.

Sebastian hadn't shown any remorse up until Regionals, and Kurt really didn't buy it. It felt way too forced what with the events that had occured that week.

Plus the Warblers had been in on it. He'd sat with Blaine for nights before and following the surgery. He'd seen Blaine agonizing over his former friends betraying him -- betraying both of them.

Kurt just couldn't understand how Blaine could stand to be polite to them...even in public.

The fight in the parking lot had been horrible. Blaine's words still rang in his ears:

"You're just afraid I'll pull a Chandler and start texting him nonstop!"

That had really hurt -- he felt horrible enough over that whole fiasco already.

Blaine hadn't even apologized. They'd left in silence, and Kurt had dropped him off before heading home.

His phone vibrated again, signalling new texts.

From: Blaine
I know it probably doesn't mean much over a text, but I'm sorry.

From: Blaine
Can we talk tomorrow? Before school?

He inhaled sharply and sent a text back.

To: Blaine
Yes.

To: Blaine
I have to go start my moisturizing routine. Good night.

That was a lie of course, but he didn't really feel bad about it. He could do it later.

Plus he had a feeling Blaine wasn't starting his moisturizing routine yet either.

He placed his phone on his bedside table and closed his eyes, trying to relax.

---

"How is he?"

Colin, Heather, and Cooper were currently sitting in the living room, watching the evening news.

Blaine had joined them for dinner but had been unnaturally silent. Cooper had heard him leave at least four different messages on Kurt's phone, but apparantly his boyfriend wasn't answering.

He'd bid everyone good night and gone to bed an hour ago.

"It's just an argument with Kurt," said Cooper. "I think he's okay right now -- could be worse, but --"

"You think they'll be okay?" asked Heather.

Cooper smiled softly.

"I'm pretty sure they will be, Grandma."

---

Jenna stood outside the Anderson home, hands shoved into her jacket pockets.

Not yet. Wait til Saturday.

She didn't want to. She wanted to go in there now.

Wait. It'll be worth it. It'll be so worth it.

She clenched her fists so tightly she broke the skin, not even flinching when she felt warm, wet blood on her skin.

Saturday.

Jenna nodded to herself, lips curling in a small smile before heading back down the street.

It really would be worth it.

WHAT YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE IT THERE ASDFGHJLL

NEW CHAPTER. NOW. PLEASE!Ohmigodohmigodohmigod, WHAT'S SHE GONNA DOOOOO!?

I need more!! And Jenna...stay away from my boys! D:

Oh god no, my brain is thinking the worst toughts right now. Great update!

I'm glad Blaine seems to be realizing that he messed up with Kurt over the Warblers and wants to apologize. It's one thing if he was feeling generous and managed to find it within himself to forgive them, but it's another to get mad at his boyfriend, who only wants to protect him, for being unable to do the same! Kurt was the one who had to watch Blaine screaming in agony and terrified of surgery because of those Warblers, after all.... I'm so itching now to see what happens when their bad mommy finally makes her re-appearance, we are being kept in such suspense!
