Author's Notes:

So I hope you liked this chapter, finally some Blaine!!! And again Im sorry for taking such a long time.

Please review and tell me if you like it or not. I wont make any promises... but I will try updating soon again!

‘God... he is gorgeous... Kurt thinks, before he can stop his stupid brain. ‘Stop it! Stupid! You have a fiancé, who loves you. You shouldnt look at other men, even if they are completely gorgeous and are one of the most beautiful people on earth...

He realises that the man is speaking again, but Kurt hasnt really been listening. He has been busy debating with his brain, who isnt listening to him anyway.

"Sorry, what did you say?" he laughs, looking up at the stranger again.

This time, the eyes he met is filled with worry. At first Kurt doesnt realise why, but then he remembers his bruised face, swollen eye and broken nose.

‘Stupid! Why didnt you cover it up!? Why did you leave the apartment!? You shouldnt have done that! You should have listened to Simon! Going out only gets you trouble

He doesnt realise he has zoned off again until he feels somebody put their hand on his shoulder. He opens his eyes, which he hadnt even realised he had closed. In front of him is a man, he whom is familiar, but who he cant put a name on. He had for a second forgotten that he wasnt alone.

"Oh god... are you okay?" the concern in the mans voice is clear, "Thats a stupid question... you are all bashed up, and crying! What happened?"

"Oh this?" Kurt says, gesticulating towards his face. "Its nothing really... thanks for asking, but... Its nothing, really... I just... I walked into a pole, didnt look where I were going, silly me... hehe..."

Silly me!? Yeah silly you! "I walked into a pole", you really couldnt come up with anything better? "I got attacked by a pack of wolves" would have been more believable!

He sees directly that the stranger doesnt believe him, he raises his right eyebrow and looks at Kurt sternly.

"And that "pole" gave you a black eye, slit your lip and broke your nose, as well as strangling you, it looks like? Thats some mean pole you run into!"

The curly haired man snorts, then releases Kurts shoulder, and sits down on the bench beside him.

"What really happened?"

"Its silly... nothing really..." Kurt says, trying to come up with a lie that actually sounds like something that could happened.

‘This is a great start Kurt, keep going, you are doing great!

"I was so stupid going out that late...."

‘Yeah! I am good at this! I havent even lied yet, not really...

"I-I got... mu-jumped, apparently not everyone in New York is as accepting for gays as I thought! Luckily they didnt steal anything... but its nothing... really, you dont need to worry. Im just a little bashed up! Nothing... really, its nothing"

‘God! Just stop talking! You are ruining it!

"Im okay... really, Im fine... yeah fine... dont worry! Im okay..."

‘Yeah... you ruined it... Good job!

Sobs starts wrecking Kurts small frame, and soon he is shaking, trying to keep himself from crying out loud.

Strong arms wraps around him, pulling him into a hug. His head gets tucked in beneath the strangers chin, resting against their chest, so that he can hear the comforting beat of their heart, and feel his calm breaths. He clings to the stranger, much like he had clung to a stranger two months ago, just after his father died.

‘Aaah... thats where I know him from! He held me when I cried my heart out, and now he is doing it again, great. He must think Im a psycho.

Thinking of his father doesnt do Kurt any good, it does the complete opposite. Instead of stopping to cry, and maybe let go of the poor stranger, he starts crying hysterically, clinging desperately to the other man, as if it is the only thing keeping him safe.

‘Oh god... my dad is dead, and I havent been visiting his... tombstone since his funeral. I am the worst son ever! And now I am going to be alone for Christmas, because Simon isnt here... and he is always home for Christmas... but now he isnt. And my dad is dead... and-‘

"Hey... hey... shh... Calm down... you will make yourself pass out... deep breaths... ssh, you are rambling..."the stranger says, rubbing Kurts back, making soothing noises.

‘I said that out laud!?

Kurts breath hitches in his throat, effectively stopping his pointless, and rather embarrassing ramble. The other man pulls him even closer, and he continues rubbing Kurts back. His calm breath and steady heartbeat calms Kurt.

It has always helped him. Sitting like this, feeling another persons breaths and hearing their heartbeats. He often sat that way with his mom growing up. All those times he came home from kindergarten or elementary school, crying because none of the other kids wanted to play with him. Or when a thunderstorm came, he would curl up in his dads lap, knowing that everything would be okay, that his dad would protect him.

Kurt still clings to the other man desperately, without any sign of wanting to let go anytime soon, still taking short panicked breaths. Not really knowing what to do, the stranger start to sing...

"Before you met me I was alright,

But things were kind of heavy,

You brought me to life,

Now every February,

Youll be my valentine... "

Slowly, but steady, Kurts sobs subdued, and his breath calmed down.

"Thats right! Calm breaths..." the curly haired man whispers, "Thats it..."

After a few minutes he pulls away from Kurt, but keeps sitting beside him on the bench, clasping his hand between his own. Again, there is an awkward silence. It isnt unusual around Kurt, people seems to be at a loss when around him, not knowing what to say. And he isnt much better. It doesnt bother him usually, he likes the silence most of the time. It means that people doesnt bother him, and that in turn means that he wont get hurt. At least not emotionally.

This time though, it just feels weird, and awkward. Kurt looks down at their joined hand in his lap.

"Im... really sorry" Kurt says, after a few minutes of really uncomfortable silence, "For this. You really dont have to stay here... if you dont want to of course, I wont force you to leave..."

He doesnt realise that he is rambling again until the stranger begins to laugh.

"Actually..." the stranger says, releasing Kurts hand and dragging a hand through his hair - that is really cute and curly... and Kurt is quite sure it wasnt last time he saw the stranger... God Kurt! Shut up! "I think I will stay here, if thats okay with you?"

"...yeah... sure of course..." Kurt answers after far too long time, looking down at his hands, not quite sure what to say next.

The stranger solves that problem by speaking again.

"I dont think I got your name last time..." he says offering his hand to Kurt and the only thing Kurt can think of is the fact that the stranger remembers the last time they met, "My name is Blaine."

Kurt takes the strangers, Blaines, offered hand, giving it a firm shake.

"Kurt Hummel... nice to meet you."
