Author's Notes:

And this is where Kurt and Blaine begin their friendship.  Things wont stay perfect for long though... Ill try to update this weekend!  Im shooting for Saturday or Sunday, thank you all for the support!

Blaine began to panic as he hung up the phone with Kurt.  He quickly got up, making his bed and wondering if this was Kurt's idea of some kind of trick.  Blaine put the clothes that littered his bedroom floor in his dirty clothes hamper, making sure that all the underwear was hidden toward the bottom of the hamper.  He may have just shown Kurt a picture that had his penis in it, but he really didn't want Kurt to see his underwear, it would make everything even more awkward.

Blaine saw Kurt's car pull into his driveway several minutes later.  He quickly ran downstairs, biting his bottom lip when he saw his mom reading in the living room.  Blaine had never had anyone over, much less a boy.  Also, it was late- almost 9:30.  “Mom?  M-My friend is coming over.  I… I'm sorry for not asking be-before hand.”  He stuttered, blushing.

“Oh Blaine, that's great!  I'm glad that you've invited someone over.  It's late, will they be spending the night?”  She asked, sitting her book in her lap and fixing her hair.  “Blaine, I don't even have a bra on.”  She fussed, pulling at her pajama top.

“That's fine, Mom.  We'll probably just be going up to my room…”  Blaine trailed off, blushing.  “Please don't tell him you aren't wearing a bra though.”  Blaine said, embarrassed by the thought.  He began to walk toward the door.

“Ooh, is it a boyfriend?”  She asked, positively beaming at the thought.

“N-no, Mom!  He's not.”  Blaine said quickly, taking a nervous breath.  “Please don't say anything embarrassing.  We're barely even friends.”  Blaine said quietly, eyes widening when he heard a knock on the door.  He hurried over, opening the door so his father wouldn't wake up.

“Hey…”  Kurt trailed off, looking just as awkward as Blaine felt.

“Hi…”  Blaine replied softly, moving so Kurt could come inside.  He closed the door behind Kurt and nodded toward the living room.  “My mom wants to say hi…”  He said softly, nervous to hear what his mom might say.

Kurt followed Blaine into the living room.  Blaine watched as his mom positively beamed when she saw Kurt.  She turned to Blaine, smiling wide and giving him an obvious wink that made Blaine want to die of embarrassment.

“Hi Mrs. Anderson, I'm Kurt.”  Kurt said quietly, making his way over to her.  He stuck out his hand and she took it, shaking it firmly.

“It's so nice to meet you, Kurt.  I'm so happy that Blaine invited you over.”  She said, raising her eyebrows toward Blaine who could tell she was very impressed by Kurt.  “You're welcome here anytime.”

“I'm glad to be here…”  Kurt said quietly, squeezing her hand before letting go.  Blaine smiled at the gesture then turned to Kurt.  “Do you want anything to eat or drink?”  He asked.

“Some water would be great.”   Kurt replied, following Blaine to the kitchen after waving to his mom.  “Your mother is really sweet, I like her a lot.”  He said quietly.

“Thanks.”  Blaine replied, grabbing Kurt a bottle of water.  He grabbed one for himself then led Kurt upstairs, pausing every few moments as Kurt stopped to study a picture.  Once in his room Blaine closed his door then sat on his bed, patting the spot next to him for Kurt to sit.  “Sorry…  I'm kind of in my pajamas…”  He trailed off.

“At least you aren't naked.”  Kurt replied, wincing painfully after saying it.  “I'm sorry I didn't mean…”

Blaine laughed awkwardly, face on fire.  “S-sorry about that, I…”

“You have nothing to be sorry about.  Really.”  Kurt said quietly, smiling at Blaine before lying back on his bed.  “Can we…  This is going to be a weird request.”  He muttered, meeting Blaine's gaze.

“W-what?”  Blaine asked.

“Can we turn off the lights and just… cuddle a little?  I know it sounds weird.  And creepy.  We barely know each other but it's just so much easier to talk without the lights on.”  Kurt said, his voice quiet.

Blaine nodded, standing up.  “H-hang on.  I'm going to get you some pajamas so I don't feel so silly right now.”  He said, blushing a bit more.

Blaine waited for Kurt to nod before heading over to his dresser and pulling out a pair of soft pajama bottoms.  He grabbed a t-shirt that was just as soft then sat them in front of Kurt.  Blaine was surprised when Kurt began to change in front of him.  He tried hard not to focus on him but it was hard not to, especially when he realized he was wearing a red thong under his Cheerios uniform.  Once he was changed Kurt turned off the light then climbed in bed.  Blaine followed his lead, not knowing what to do or say.

Blaine watched his ceiling fan, everything quiet for several minutes.  He felt Kurt's fingers lace with his own.  He turned to him curiously and then noticed he was crying.  “Kurt… what…. What's wrong?”  Blaine asked.

“I just feel so… alone sometimes.”  Kurt said quietly.  Blaine squeezed his hand slowly, afraid that Kurt may snap at him.

“Kurt, everyone loves you.  You have so many friends and you have a wonderful family…”  Blaine started before Kurt cut him off.

“I have a wonderful dad, and I love Carole and Finn, I do.  I just miss my mom.  And the Cheerios aren't my true friends, Blaine.  I don't have any of those.”  Kurt said quietly.  Blaine watched Kurt curiously as he let go of his hand.  He reached over, turning on Blaine's lamp.  “Secret for secret?”  He asked.

Blaine nodded, biting his bottom lip.  He watched, eyes wide as Kurt inched down his borrowed pajama bottoms.  Blaine furrowed his eyebrows, unsure of what Kurt was trying to accomplish.  Then he saw the scars.  “Oh my gosh, Kurt…”  Blaine said softly.  He gently began to trace over Kurt's scars that littered his thighs.  The majority of them were faded, but Blaine was still concerned.

Kurt cleared his throat, gently pushing Blaine's hand away before pulling his pajamas back up and turning the light back off.  “Lay down.”  He said.  Blaine nodded, gasping slightly when Kurt laid down too, resting his head on Blaine's chest.  “I get really depressed sometimes.  I also get really bad anxiety.”  He admitted.  Blaine gently began to rub Kurt's back, searching for the right words to say.  “Don't worry, I don't…  I don't cut anymore.  Remember when I told the Glee club that I went on that cruise last year?  You know, before Dad and Carole got married?  I really went to a…  kind of like a rehab type place.  I do still get depressed sometimes.  I actually really am right now…”

Blaine didn't know what to say.  He was shocked to hear that Kurt had been through so much, he still couldn't figure out what he could possibly be depressed about, it seemed as if Kurt Hummel had the perfect life.  Blaine rubbed his back, pressing his lips to the top of Kurt's head.  “I'm here anytime you want to talk.  I might not give the best advice but I'll always listen, okay?”  He said quietly.  Blaine felt Kurt nod against his chest.

The two fell silent for several minutes.  Blaine thought that Kurt had dozed off.  Kurt cleared his throat, not moving from Blaine's embrace.  “Tell me a secret now?”

“I…”  Blaine trailed off.  It would be so easy to tell Kurt about the lie then.  He could tell him that he created Blake to get close to him.  “I…”  Blaine started again, quickly closing his mouth.  He couldn't do that.  That would crush him.  Blaine thought for several moments.  “You're the first friend I've ever had over that wasn't here to work on a project.”  Blaine admitted softly.  “Hmm, also, I've never been kissed.”  He admitted, face red.

“I really want to be your friend, Blaine.”  Kurt whispered.  Blaine held him tight, smiling up at his ceiling.  He was really beginning to believe that they would become friends.
