Let me know if you still want me to finish"Without my wings" even if updates are slow, and I want to thank you all for your support and interest. My love to you all:)
Two weeks after Blaine had been to the market, he returned with Cassy beside him. The day was freezing, Blaine felt like his lungs were breathing in shards of ice, and yet the kingdom still hadn't had it's first snowfall. In fact Blaine felt like everything, fairy and nature, was tense and waiting for something.
"This is it," Blaine chewed the inside of his cheeks as the walked up over the hill.
Cassy let out a puff of smokey breath, "How will even know if it's spread around?'
"Listen in on a few conversations, and...Cassy?"
Cassy was staring to her left.
"Cas are you okay?"
Blaine walked forward a few steps so he could see past her height, "What are you look...? Oh, Cas come on, let's not..."
The left of them was a large fenced square where around fifteen people were standing in grubby clothes and with nervous expressions. Fifteen new Slaves ready to be sold.
"Do you see him?" Cas asked, her large eyes wide and her cheeks red.
"Who?" Blaine narrowed his eyes at the group of people.
"The blonde one," Cas gasped, she gripped her friends arm, "Oh my God, Blaine!"
Blaine laughed, scanning the group of people, "Where?"
"At the front, right in the middle. Oh my God look at his arms, wow," Cassy swooned against him.
Blaine laughed again, his eyes landing on a tall, muscular, blond boy with sparkling blue eyes. He didn't look nervous at all and was grinning at Cassy with thick pink lips. He winked.
Cassy gripped Blaine's arm tighter, "Blaine!"
Blaine raised an eyebrow, "He seems...confident. "
"He winked at me," Cas gasped, breathless and blushing.
"Go say hi," Blaine nudged her forward.
"What no I couldn't, I mean I've never even..."
The blond beckoned her forward with his index finger.
"...Okay, I guess it couldn't hurt, " Cassy finished, she turned to Blaine, "Er, does my hair look okay?"
"You look beautiful," Blaine grinned, "Go get him."
Cas gave a nervous giggle before she walked forward, "I'll meet you back at the Palace," she called before going to batter her eyelashes at the Slave.
Blaine was smiling as he turned to walk further into the market, it was about time that Cas found someone too. He noticed that there was definitely a different atmosphere around him and the other early shoppers, he pushed his way as politely as he could to Dan's stall.
"Blaine! I was hoping I'd see you again soon," Dan grinned.
Blaine placed a few gold coins in front of the old man and took an apple, "Hey," he rubbed the apple on the sleeve of his sweater, "How did it go?" He bit into the fruit with a loud crunch.
"Good. Everyone's been talking about it," Dan pushed out his chest, proud.
Blaine grinned, "That's great! Kurt's gonna be so happy. What have they been saying?"
"Just spreading it around, " Dan informed, "What were you expecting?"
"We want to rebel, but we're going to need the whole kingdom to be behind us to make a difference."
"We?"
"Me and Kurt. "
"Hmm."
"What?"
"Oh nothing, nothing," Dan tried to hide a smirk behind a cough.
Blaine narrowed his eyes but shrugged, taking another bite of his apple.
"What's next?" Dan asked, a hint of excitement in his child like eyes.
Blaine paused, "Well...I think telling people about the revolt."
"Awesome! I er...I mean yeah yeah I could do that I suppose. "
Blaine laughed, "Thanks Dan."

"I don't know if I like the sound of this guy," Kurt frowned, pulling his shirt over his head and throwing it to the side.
"He didn't seem too bad," Blaine didn't sound convincing.
Kurt sighed, running a hand through his hair, "What is she thinking?"
Blaine laughed, "You sound like a protective Dad," he teased, coming up behind Kurt and wrapping his arms around his bare waist.
Kurt shivered, Blaine's shirt was cold against his skin, "Or a concerned friend...do you even know this blond guys name?"
"Nope, I didn't speak to him. He called Cas over," Blaine recalled, pressing small kisses to the shell of the Prince's ear.
"And she's still not home?" Kurt asked, Blaine's hand running up his chest and pulling him flush against the Slave.
"I don't think so but...its only seven thirty, I wouldn't worry yet," Blaine tried to comfort, moving his lips to the back of Kurt's neck and nipping gently.
Kurt huffed, "I can't believe you let her go of like that...I can't believe you encouraged it!"
"Babe, relax, please. Cassy is a only a year younger than us, she's perfectly capable of looking after herself," Blaine pointed out, burying his nose in Kurt's hair.
"Urgh, you're right. You're right, I just....I..."
"Worry?" Blaine offered, smiling fondly into the brown locks.
"Exactly."
"It's cute, but not necessary. She's fine, I promise, " Blaine reassured him, kissing more determinedly down Kurt's bare neck and shoulder.
Kurt let out a sigh, "You're right, you're right...."
Blaine's hands slid across Kurt's hips, still mouthing the back of his neck.
"But do you think you could check if she's home?" Kurt asked, chewing his lip, "Please?"
"But Kurt I...Okay, fine," Blaine let out a defeated sigh, "I'll be right back."
"And ask around to see if people have seen her?" The Prince added.
Blaine sighed again, "Of course Dear."

Blaine made his way back up the stairs, a little out of breath from running down to the Slavery and asking a few people if Cassy was back yet. She wasn't. Kurt was such a worrier, he always concentrated on the bad and not the good. The ultimate pessimist. Their plan was working, things were starting to fall into place. and yet Kurt was still on edge all the time. Blaine could tell from the tension in his shoulders and the expression of uncertainty that had been etched on his face since this whole thing began, he just needed to relax. Desperately. Blaine was sure that Kurt knew this fact too, he and his father were so alike in so many ways although you wouldn't think it at first glance.
He reached the top of the stairs and pushed open the door. Kurt was sat on the bed with the lights turned off, he'd found a candle from God know's where and had placed it on the bedside table. The flickering light was the only thing that illuminated his body, casting shadows on the soft curves off his pale skin. He sat with his legs crossed and a smile on his face in a pair of red boxers, when Blaine entered the room he held out his hand, reaching for the Slave.
"Kurt? What-"
"Shh, Come here," The Prince requested, still smiling.
Blaine raised an eyebrow but did has he was told, "You were quick, I was only gone for..."
"Shh," Kurt pressed his finger against his lips, "Just come lie down with me."
Blaine tugged off his shirt and kicked off his pink sweat pants before he climbed up to head of the bed, almost instinctively taking the Prince in his arms as they lay facing one another.
"Cassy's not home," Blaine informed him, running a hand affectionately through Kurt's hair.
Kurt smiled softly, "I know. I just wanted to surprise you a little bit."
"You sent me running down the halls in my pajamas so you could light a freaking candle?" Blaine asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Hm, maybe," Kurt smirked, giggling when Blaine tickled his side in response.
"Well then. Maybe you should make it up to me."
"Hm, but how would I do that?" Kurt grinned, hiding his smirk in Blaine bicep.
"Oh I have a few ideas," Blaine murmured, his voice dropping an octave lower.
Kurt shivered, sliding his hands up from the slaves waist to lock in Blaine's raven curls.
Blaine smiled, rolling Kurt so he was laid half on top of him, "We don't do this enough."
"I know, I'm sorry. I'm just always so stressed, I usually don't feel like..."
"Hey, relax. Let me help you relax, " Blaine rested his head on the crook of Kurt's neck, tilting upwards to nip lightly at the Prince's earlobe.
Kurt smiled, "Okay," he whispered.
Blaine laughed and kissed Kurt softly, feeling the Prince's tense body melt against him.

"Blaine, this is getting out of hand," Kurt hissed, "Maybe we should just call everyone off?"
It had been a gradual process, but the members of the kingdom had slowly grouped together without the need of much encouragement from the Prince and Slave. The only problem was that Kurt and Blaine might have slightly underestimated the lengths that the group was willing to go to to live in a fair kingdom.
"Do you really think that they'll listen?" Blaine replied sadly, slipping an arm around Kurt's waist, "Kurt I-I don't know what to-."
"What are you doing?" Kurt took a step away but it was half hearted, he knew the exact answer that Blaine was going to give.
"They all know Hon. We've become the face of this whole...whole..."
"War?" Kurt finished, "It's becoming a war isn't it?"
Blaine chewed his lip, "I think so."
They were stood on the balcony, watching thousands of people gather outside the palace gates for another protest. The first few rows had noticed the couple watching and began cheering and waving madly.
"What are they doing? They're going to get killed," Kurt shook his head, resting his head on Blaine's shoulder - the crowd's noise level rose in response.
"I know. The last protest was..."
"Twenty people. The Governor's shot twenty people," Kurt's fists clenched, "It just...I'm battling between wanting to stop this and wanting to win."
"I know. You know me and you? We're going to be in history books and..."
"Not helping," Kurt pointed out. He paused.
"I'm going down there," The Prince announced, "They won't shoot when I'm stood in front of all those innocent people."
"Um, I wouldn't be so sure about that," Blaine tightened his hold on Kurt's waist, "and I'm not going to let you test it out."
"Blaine I can't just stand here and watch these people die for me, for us," Kurt twisted out of the Slaves grip, "And I'm not going to turn a blind eye to it either."
"No, no let me instead," Blaine grabbed Kurt's hand, "I'm not letting you go down there."
"It's okay, I got this," Kurt cupped Blaine's cheek and looked into his eyes, "Trust me."
"I trust you. I do. I just don't trust them," Blaine hissed the last word.
"Let me try. Please."
"No."
"Blaine. I'm doing this," Kurt enforced, taking a few steps towards the door.
"No, Kurt I-" Blaine tried to follow but couldn't take more than a few steps, "Wh-What's happening?"
"I'm happening," Kurt replied, "It's force field."
"A-A force field?" Blaine repeated, holding his hand out and pressing against the invisible brick wall.
"I can protect these people, Blaine."
"Wait, hold up, just one-one second. Since when can you create a force-field?" Blaine exclaimed.
"Since about three weeks ago. Straight after all those people...well I've been reading the book and practicing," Kurt explained quickly, "I'll be back."
"Wait, I'm coming."
"What?"
"You can protect me too. Besides maybe we can talk to these people. This is our fault, and we need to fix it," Blaine replied, pushing against the wall, "Can you take this thing down?"
Kurt rolled his eyes, "Okay. But we need to keep me practicing on the down low okay? I don't know how the the governors will react if they find out, but it won't be anything good."
