Officer Down -

Kurt walked into the precinct flashed his badge at the desk Sergeant and walked over past the empty desks to his office.  On days like this he loved being the first one in on the day shift.  He found that he got much more work done in the time before the others came than he would in the whole rest of the day.  He texted Hudson and looked through the missing persons database for any other kids who might fit the Watkins profile. It was considerably easier having a few names to go with.

Finn finishes the notes from the findings at the warehouse last night, detailing conversations that he had with the owner of the warehouse as well as one of the workers in the warehouse. Finn then looked over and saw that Kurt's door was open.  Finn grabs his notes and walk into Kurt's office, "Got a minute; I want to fill you in on what we found last night."

Kurt:  "Yeah, come on in" Kurt waves him in.  He turn away from my computer and motions him to sit down.  "What do you have for me?"

Finn:  "When we got to the warehouse last night the owner affirmed that he had seen the victim before, but only on a few occasions.  One of the men working in the warehouse said that he saw the victim often coming into the warehouse with one of the truck unloaders named Jason Jones.  Both the owner of the warehouse and the guy working in the warehouse(Greg), said that Jason was always angry and was always late for work.  The owner said that he fired Jason a while ago because it was discovered that Jason was stealing."

"After talking with the owner and Greg. Evans and I looked around the warehouse and discovered an old part of the warehouse that, according to the owner was no longer being used.  Once we got into the room we discovered more than we bargained for.  There were boys clothes and a bed with sheets that a child would want, as well as a cooler full of food.  We found notes and things that were written to Jason as well.  Then when we thought we had looked through everything I found a barrel in the corner and found what could possibly be our murder weapon.  There was a lamp that was wedged to the side of the barrel.  I called for the Crime Scene team to come and dust everything and get it fingerprinted.  We got the last known address for where Jason when he worked at the warehouse as well."

Kurt: "Wow, nice work Hudson.  Hmm Jason Jones, let me look him up."  Kurt plugs the name into the database.  He look through the database looking for possible connections to Watkins.  "It looks like he did a stretch in the state pen with Theodore's father, was released 2 and a half years ago."  He looks from my computer back to Finn  "Prints are a match according to crime scene, Time frame fits, I say we go talk to him."

Finn: Finn closes his notebook, "Okay, I am with ya.  I am going to put my things on my desk and will meet you out front.Waiting for Kurt I make sure that my vest is secure and that my gun are secure.  Kurt walks up to the car; I insist on driving.  ""I see you sent a text to Blaine already!"

Kurt:  "Oh hush, I'm meeting him later and I didn't want him to worry." I say getting into your squad car and put on my seat belt.  "Head right on South Street." I remind you.   "I'm guessing Jones was holding Theodore to get something out of Watkin's father.  I wonder what he wants from him."

Finn: "I'm not sure what Jones could have wanted that would have warrented taking someone else's kid.  Although according to Greg from the warehouse; Jones always came in with an attitude and was driven to get the truck unloaded and get out of there.  Greg said that Jones talked very little but, when he did talk he would rant about not wanting to deal with the consequences of his actions. (I pause) We should be getting close to the house soon I think.

Kurt:  "Money? Maybe he owes him something?" I ponder.  "Yeah it's on the left." I say as you make the turn.  I call in to dispatch and let them know of our arrival.  You park the car and we get out.  "Any sign of trouble, call for back up okay?" I remind you as we walk

We walk up the porch steps slowly, I knock on the door "NYPD open up!  We're looking for Jones, We'd like to ask a few questions."

Shots ring out through the door I get hit in the shoulder and fall back against the porch railing and hit my head, falling unconscious.

Finn: I see you go down and immediatly pick you up to get you out of the way and immediately see that you have been hit in the shoulder, but am not sure if you have been hit a second time. "Officer down! Send a bus, officer down!  SWAT team to 2653 South Street!"  I walk over to the car and grab the towel that is in the backseat of the squad car to stop the bleeding.

"Kurt man, wake up!  Kurt, open your eyes man!"  You are not responding and I see that the blood is coming through the towel.

The SWAT team arrives and I give them details as to what happened.  I see the ambulance pulling up and look at one of the officers that arrived, "Hey, I am going with Hummel, can you get my Squad car back to the station?"

"Will do, " the officer said.

The paramedics get you stable for transport and I get in the back of the ambulance.  I call into the radio..."SWAT has arrived and they have secured the scene, I am en route with Hummel to County Hospital on 5th Street!"
