“Oooh, this one's cute! Do you think, I can wear this, Kurt?”, the brown haired girl asked while she was looking at a long burgundy coloured robe.
“Hmm... give it a try, Rachel! You will have to try on so many dresses today, we want to find the perfect one! Same goes for you, Mercedes!”, he said, grinning. It was shopping time. Junior prom was approaching and he offered himself as a shopping-advisor for the girls. They were at the mall, because there was a wide range of stores that carried beautiful and, at the same time, affordable dresses.
“Do you think, that yellow will make me look fat?”, Mercedes wanted to know, looking at a long yellow dress.
“Nothing will ever make you look fat, Sweetie. But I don't think, yellow is the right colour for you. I would go for a violet one. Maybe this one?”, he said, not looking at his friend, but searching through robes to find the right one.
Two hours and several stores later they found the right dresses. After leaving the shop, Mercedes and Rachel literally fell onto a bench.
“I need a break!”, was all, Rachel announced. Mercedes nodded furiously.
“What? But we still need the accessory! And you, Rachel may need a new bra, unless you have one without straps”, Kurt replied. Shopping was his element. He never got tired of it.
“Yes Kurt. But you didn't need to try one all those dresses! So let us have a coffee and then we will search for our jewellery and everything else, okay?”, Mercedes proposed, here eyes were closed.
“Well, get you coffee, you deserve it, but I will go over to the small shop down there where Rachel got her beautiful bracelet from. Meet you there, girls!”, Kurt said, before leaving. The girls just shook her heads.
“Well, time for some good coffee!”, Mercedes said and went down to the small coffee shop with Rachel.
Meanwhile Kurt walked through the mall, looking at some shop windows, when he heard a unfamiliar, but yet wonderful voice.
Life's too short to even care at all, oh
I'm losing my mind, losing my mind, losing control
These fishes in the sea, they're staring at me, Oh oh
A wet world aches for a beat of a drum
It was a song he did not know yet, but he liked it from the beginning. Without any hesitation Kurt went around the corner and froze. The guy that was sitting there with the guitar placed on his lap. Kurt could not stop looking at him. The dark brown, curly hair, the eyes, which were closed most of the time and the way he performed the song as if his live was depending on this.
If I could find a way to see this straight
I'd run away
To some fortune that I,
I should have found by now
I'm waiting for this cough syrup
to come down
The words went right into Kurt's heart. It's never been easy. Not for Kurt. Being the only open gay at school was definitely not what anyone would wish for. But his friends at Glee Club made everything much more bearable. Especially since David Karofsky, a massive football-player decided to scare the hell out of him just because... well that was something Kurt never talked about. Actually Karofsky kissed him and blamed Kurt for it. Kurt even understood how David was acting towards him, because he knew what David was going through. But it never stopped. After Karofsky got expelled for bullying, Kurt thought it was all over. Unfortunately Karofsky got back and everything started again. The only way for Kurt to get around school save was to be protected by his friends, who followed him everywhere he went.
“Kurt, are you coming?” Rachel's voice could be heard.
Kurt shrugged and looked at her, slightly confused. “Come again?”, he said quickly and took a deep breath when he realized that he was standing in the mall. He looked at the guy, who was now playing some other song, he did not know.
“Aww, did we see something we like?”, Mercedes said, looking at the singer and then grinning to Kurt. “Does he even play for your team?”
Kurt sighed. “I did not look at him in this way! He's just a good singer. And he played a song that I liked very much!” He knew, that he wasn't good at lying.
“No Kurt, you just literally stared at him like he's the man of your dreams”, Rachel stated.
“Let's just go on, we still need to buy the accessory. You two need to look fabulous for your dates!” Kurt tried to get away from this topic and left the place.
Kurt was very quiet the rest of the day. It was very hard for him to keep his focus on his search for jewellery and even underwear for his friends. He was pondering about what Mercedes mentioned. He did not know whether the guy was gay. Actually he did not know any other gay person. Except for Karofsky but that did not count for Kurt. Suddenly he felt lonely. How should he ever find love if he did not find a person to share his... way of life.
What Kurt did not know was that the singer had recognized him. How could one not notice the beautiful young man with his pale skin, perfectly coiffed hair and his also perfectly matched outfit. At some point he was glad that he was able to play without even thinking about it because he was drifting away when he got caught.
“Are we dreaming again, Blainey?”
“Oh... Sebastian. I did not see you coming...”, Blaine replied, smiling sheepish.
“Well... you seemed to be somewhere else, maybe dreaming about our future?”, said Sebastian, grinning.
Blaine did not answer, he just smiled and put the guitar back in to the case. He and Sebastian had been a couple for a few months now. Everything went well but For some time Blaine had the feeling that this was not what he wanted. He really liked Sebastian, he was a good boyfriend but this was it. More and more he go the feeling that he just was playing it safe. Especially when he saw this porcelain coloured guy.

Thank you very much! More will be coming very soon :-)
okay, this is a really good stoy, and i am amazed at your english skills, there are a few typos and gramatical things for example: the accessory should be the accessories theres mainly phrasing issues but its really good on the whole on to chapter two ;)- Toastie
