Author's Notes: Kurt pulled up at school in his Cheerio uniform and waited for Blaine. He had decided that tonight he was definitely going to quit, he didn’t want to be part of that crowd anymore… he hated who he’d become by donning this uniform. He wanted his old friends back, he missed them. He’d do anything to gain their trust and friendship again. He was lost in memories of glee club when Blaine pulled up he parked his car next to Kurt’s and hopped out, Kurt couldn’t help but stare.
Blaine was wearing a red suit with a white shirt and dark brown tie, his hair was perfectly coiffured and styled in his usual gelmet. The suit pants were tight and showed of his well defined thighs and made his ass look fantastic.
“Um…err” said Kurt, staring his mouth hanging slightly open.
“Well aren’t you eloquent this evening baby?” said Blaine grinning
“Well.. I… you…wow” said Kurt again looking Blaine up and down.
“Good thing you’re gorgeous” said Blaine, walking over to Kurt and standing on his tiptoes to kiss him.
“Mmm… How can I be eloquent when you look so damn sexy?” said Kurt softly against Blaine’s lips
Blaine smiled and kissed Kurt softly again.
“I don’t look nearly as hot as you. Come on, The cheerleaders need to start soon” said Blaine, reaching down and grasping Kurt’s hand interlocking their fingers.
They walked swinging their arms until they reached the auditorium. Blaine let go of Kurt’s hand, as they entered. Kurt was saddened by the loss, he knew it was for the best, at least this way they’d draw less attention to themselves.
“I’ll see you when the glee club perform” said Blaine quietly.
“Yeah… I love you”
“Love you too,”
Blaine went to sit with the glee club as Kurt walked over and started stretching with the cheerios, Blaine watched for a while but then the other seniors from glee club sat around him.
“You could do better Blaine.” said Sam.
“Yeah” said Quinn and Brittany in agreement.
“No, I can’t. He can” said Blaine, still staring at Kurt. “But I can’t, he’s amazing”
“But bro-”started Sam but Blaine cut him off.
“What?! He’s not like us, he left you when you needed him? You sound like the cheerio’s when they talk about me. This club is about accepting people, yeah he left but he came back, yeah what he did was pretty shitty but he came back. You judge him on the basis he’s a cheerio now but don’t you see he’s not like them! He’s different, he’s one of us at heart still.”
“But Blaine” said Santana “He abandoned us… we lost because of him. He left once and he’ll leave again”
“Whatever, Kurt makes me happy. Does that not count for anything? He makes me feel loved and happy and wanted… I haven’t truly had that in 5 years!”
“But Blaine” said Sam, Blaine threw him a hard stare and he looked at his feet.
“Look guys you can’t change my opinion of Kurt… I love him and I’m going to date him and if that means you guys hate me or I have to quit then that is what I’ll do”
“We won’t ever hate you Blaine… please don’t quit Blaine” said Brittany.
“Okay then stop getting on my back” he said “Kurt makes me happy, makes me feel safe…He… he accepts me.”
“We accept you Blaine.” Said Mike
“Not in the same way he did” said Blaine lost in thought slightly.
The group silenced. They really had nothing more to say to Blaine, they knew they couldn’t change his mind. Maybe, deep down Kurt was still the guy they knew two years ago. The cheerio’s started their routine and Blaine watched Kurt the whole time, smiling, the group watched Blaine as he watched the performance. They lent a little further back so Finn could talk to them; he and Mike were sat just behind the glee club with the rest of the football team. Finn lent forward to talk to them, making sure not to look conspicuous to the rest of the football team.
“Hey guys,” Finn said in hushed tones so Blaine couldn’t hear “ just give Kurt a break. He really likes Blaine, he likes him a lot… has done for a while I think, and just look and Blaine? Doesn’t he look happy? A lot happier than when he was dating Jermaine”
“Yeah” sighed Quinn “I guess he does.”
“So Kurt deserves a chance. Doesn’t he? Just try, for Blaine” Finn insisted, he knew Kurt had been kind of an ass but he also knew how much Kurt regretted leaving.
“Yeah.” said Santana. “For Blaine, we owe him this”
~~~
“Hi Rach” said Kurt as he ran up to the cheerio’s.
“Sooo? How was the date?” she asked grinning.
“Perfect, it was amazing. He is amazing” said Kurt, grinning widely, he then went on to tell her everything… he left out the scars and the nightmares they weren’t his stories to tell.
“So did you…?” Rachel raised her eyebrows suggestively, nudged Kurt and winked.
“You know I don’t sleep with guys on the first date…”
“But this was hardly a first date”
“It was our first official date”
Rachel smiled softly, and they started the routine. Kurt scanned the crowd looking for Blaine, he spotted him sat slightly away from the seniors in Glee but grinning out at him. Kurt smiled back. He saw the flicker of sadness in Blaine’s eyes, even from a distance he knew something was troubling him. Kurt finished the routine, went to get changed and then ran over to Blaine.
“Hey Bee. You okay?” he said, panting slightly.
“Yeah baby, I’m fine.” Said Blaine, giving Kurt his best convincing smile
“Bee. Talk to me? Please…”
“Its really nothing, I’m fine… just a small flashback. I’ll be okay”
“Okay. You promise?”
“I promise baby” Blaine smiled back and kissed Kurt softly, he smiled into it. “And can I just say… you said I looked hot, have you seen yourself. You look hot!”
Kurt blushed, and they sat down waiting for it to be time for the glee clubs performance. Kurt kept casting worried glances sideways at Blaine, he really hoped he was okay. The glee club got up and performed. Kurt noticed a few of the popular kids pointing and laughing at him but he didn’t care, he looked across the stage at Blaine singing his solo and smiled, he didn’t care about them. They finished and returned to their seats and watched the rest of the pep rally.
“Okay, I’m going to go do it” said Kurt, stealing himself, he may not want to be a cheerio anymore but coach sue still terrified him.
“No, Kurt, you really don’t have to. I’ve been thinking and if you quit for me it makes me no worse than, than him…”
“But I want to quit… I do… do you not want me to?”
“If you truly want to quit you can… but I don’t want to be the reason you give up something…”
Kurt looked from Blaine to Coach Sue and back to Blaine again.
“I’m doing it Blaine, It’ll free u more time to spend with my gorgeous boyfriend. That’s better than anything” said Kurt, smiling at Blaine.
“Okay baby”
Kurt walked over to Coach Sue. She was yelling at one of the girls because her leg quivered slightly.
“I will not have it!” she yelled.
“I’m sorry Coach” said The blonde freshman who was in tears.
“make sure it never happens again”
“I- I wont” said the crying cheerio as she ran off.
“Um… Coach?” said Kurt timidly.
“What is it porcelain?” she snapped.
“Um… I quit.”
“Quit you cant quit. Blood in blood out”
“I still quit!” said Kurt walking away back to Blaine. “come on babe, lets get home”
They drove back to Kurt's place and put ‘Never Been Kissed’ on Kurt's TV and snuggled on his bed. Blaine's head rested on Kurt's shoulder, his curls coming loose and tickling Kurt's nose slightly. They still smelt like raspberries from his hair gel. Kurt's arm wound around Blaine's waist, he took Blaine's hand interlocking their fingers.
“I’m so proud of you Kurt” said Blaine softly… “Standing up to Coach Sue like that”
“Yeah?”
“yeah” Blaine sighed happily
“You staying the night” he murmured in to his hair softly.
“If its still okay”
“Of course it is” Kurt kissed Blaine's head.
They continued to watch the movie, and fell asleep Kurt holding Blaine tight. He had a good nights sleep before he was awoken at 11am…
“Kurt Elizabeth Hummel” said a gruff voice…
