“Hey, can we just sit down for a minute” asked Blaine, “I want to tell you about Sebastian.”

“Sure sweetie as long as you’re ready” said Kurt pulling Blaine over to the nearest bench, he knew this was going to be hard for Blaine.

“Right well, I first met him when I started the High School at Dalton. He was amazing, I mean he was so out there and proud, he was so sure, he didn’t seem to care what people thought of him or his sexuality, he was one of the main reasons I came out. He inspired me, he was the type of person I wanted to be” Blaine admitted.

Kurt sat there curtly nodding and taking in everything Blaine was saying, Kurt understood, Kurt wished he wasn’t the only out gay kid at his school

“He made me realise that I shouldn’t care about what the world thinks of me,” Blaine continued, reaching across and taking Kurt's hand “about people like us! But anyway, about a month after I came out he started making passes at me, flirting, asking me out, I really liked him and he made me happy, so eventually I said yes” Blaine had tears rolling down his cheeks so Kurt wrapped his arm around his shoulder and he wiped Blaine's cheeks with a tissue.

“We had been dating a month when he started asking me for sex, trying to pressure me into it, but I didn’t want to, I just wasn’t ready… and when I was I wanted it to be special, but he kept asking anyway.” Blaine said his eyes downcast, in an obvious attempt to stop the tears

Kurt pulled him closer.

“Shush baby, you don’t have to tell, me I understand okay? I’ll never pressure you into anything…ever” said Kurt as he rubbed small circles on Blaine’s lower back,

“No, I want to, it just still hurts a little, and I know you wouldn’t baby” said Blaine as he took another deep breath and spoke again “A few months went by and he was being very secretive, staying out late coming home smelling like another guy, he kept giving me all these lame excuses like ‘I ran out of cologne so I borrowed John’s’ or ‘Liam forgot he was driving me home so I had to walk’ I can’t believe I believed some of the crap he came up with. One day I’d decided to surprise him, it was nearing our two month anniversary and we’d both been busy with school work so I’d laid out a beautiful picnic, candles and everything, in his dorm room it could have been the perfect evening.”

Sebastian sounds like a bit of an ass Kurt thought, but what had he done to Blaine…

“Well, when he got back to his dorm he wasn’t alone he was with this other guy, they entered the room and Sebastian had the other guy pinned to the door kissing him, whispering ‘tell me how bad you want me, baby’ then as the turn to make their way to his bed Sebastian saw me, I was horrified… heartbroken, he’d shattered my little world, we had a huge fight, lasting long in to the night, he dumped me… just cause I didn’t put out… he was my first boyfriend”

Blaine was now dissolved in tears.

“Oh Blaine” said Kurt, after a moment of silence, he had just been processing everything. “I’m so sorry”

“No need to be sorry Kurt, he was an asshole, I didn’t tell you about it back then because, well I didn’t know your views, or that you were gay too.” said Blaine smiling weakly.

“Well back then I wasn’t even sure myself, I mean I liked boys and I experimented with girls. Anyway I think I need to take you home”

“O-okay, thank you Kurt, sorry for ruining our anniversary” said Blaine, like it was his fault that that asshole cheated on him and that they bumped in to him

“No! You didn’t ruin it, this was one of the best evenings ever, best night of my life so far, because I spent it with the guy I love” said Kurt, it really was, he’d never imagined being this happy and in love, let alone being happy and in love with the boy he met nine years ago “… I love you Blaine”

“I love you too Kurt” said Blaine through his tears,

Kurt leaned in and planted a kiss on Blaine’s lips tracing them with his tongue; he dipped his tongue in to Blaine’s mouth when Blaine parted his lips. He swirled his tongue around Blaine’s running it over Blaine’s teeth, he withdrew his tongue to allow Blaine’s to explore his. Blaine brought his hand up to cup Kurt’s cheek, tears still rolls down his face, they parted and stared in to one another’s eyes, although laced with tears and some sadness Blaine’s eyes looked beautiful, they shone brighter than they had ever before.

“Come one let’s get you home” said Kurt.

Blaine nodded.

“But how will you get home?” asked Blaine.

“I’ll call my dad to come pick me up; you are in state to drive Blaine”

They walked to Blaine’s car the journey home was quiet; Kurt didn’t think there was much to say. He was still processing how much of an ass Sebastian was, he couldn’t see why anyone could do that to Blaine. He was sweet and kind and amazing, he was everything that was good in the world… so what if he didn’t put out… hell Kurt would wait an eternity for Blaine… Blaine meant everything he was Kurt’s whole world, in his life of uncertainty Blaine was his constant he’d always been there for Kurt, no matter what, he’d listened to Kurt’s problems. They’d helped each other to grow.

They parked up outside and Kurt navigated Blaine up to his dorm room.

“Hey Coop.” said Kurt “He told me about Sebastian and I didn’t think he should drive home”

“Thank you Kurt” said Cooper, taking Blaine's car keys off Kurt. “Will you be able to get home?”

“Yeah, I’m just going to call my dad… he’ll come and get me”

As Kurt descended the staircase he dialled his dad’s number.

“Hey, Dad?” said Kurt.

“What’s wrong? Are you okay?” asked Burt frantically down the phone.

“Shush dad, calm down everything’s fine, Blaine told me about his ex and he got really upset so I drove him back to Dalton but now I can’t get home, would you be able to pick me up?”

“Sure kiddo I’ll be there in 20”

“Thanks dad”

He hung up the phone, and began brainstorming ideas, when Blaine was ready; Kurt wanted to make it special for Blaine… It was going to be perfect.
