“Kurt, sit down…” said Blaine “When I was younger in pre-school, I had this really good friend, Tobias… We grew up here together” he started crying and Kurt took his hand, and pulled him over to the bed to sit down and allowed Blaine to cry on his shoulder, he put his arm around him and rubbed tiny circles on the small of his back

“They were inseparable, well except when he was e-mailing you.” said Cooper “Before they started middle school, Tobias got pulled out and had to go to public school, they stayed in touch and hung out, they helped each other...Tobias was there when Blaine came out to me, he was just there for him, Blaine had begun to fall for him. But he was getting bullied, people at his school had seen him hanging out with Blaine… and he hung himself… he’d stopped talking to Blaine… Blaine never got the chance to tell him how he felt… and we just don’t want that to happen to you Kurt, you make him very happy.”

Kurt’s eyes were glistening with tears, he never expected anything like that, but he understood now why Blaine was so upset about Karofsky.

“Blaine, I’m sorry. That sounds awful… I promise I’ll talk it out if I ever feel that way but you have to the same for me, I can’t lose you Blaine” He could stand the thought of what could take anyone to that edge let alone his best friend and best friend… I he just couldn’t lose Blaine, ever

“Yeah, I just- you-you mean a lot to me and it would kill me to see you like that…” said Blaine, tears staining his cheeks

“It would be nice to not be constantly terrified,” Kurt admitted, tears falling “I don’t know what to do; Principal Sue said she can’t do anything unless he actually does something…”

“Hey Kurt,” said Cooper “Would you like me to come talk to him, Blaine said that, your step-brother, Finn? Was it? Wouldn’t help…”

“That would be nice Cooper, but I don’t want to drag you guys in to this, it’s not your problem…”

“Hey!” Cooper interrupted. “This became my problem when you started dating my brother, he loves you and I don’t want him to have to go through that again, it killed him… he was depressed for ages, I don’t think he could go through it again, and you mean so much more to him than Tobias, you’ve helped him… it would kill him to lose you…”

“Okay, well it would be nice to not be terrified anymore, would you come and talk to him?”

“Sure!” said Cooper, “when shall we come?”

“How about Wednesday at lunch?”

“Sounds perfect! Come on Kurt we’ll drive you home…” said Blaine.

When they reached Kurt’s house, Cooper pulled up and Blaine walked Kurt to his front door.

“Thank-you Blaine, tonight has been lovely” said Kurt facing Blaine, tonight had been wonderful, well up until the Tobias story but still.

“Yeah, it has, but it’s not been perfect… yet” said Blaine.

With that he leaned in and pressed his lips to Kurt’s, he reached up his hand to cup Kurt’s cheek, his tongue traced lazily over Kurt’s upper lip begging for access which Kurt soon allowed him, parting his lips letting Blaine tongue explore his mouth, he ran it over Kurt’s teeth swirled it around Kurt’s and then withdrew his own to allow Kurt access to his, Kurt’s tongue darted in tasting every inch of Blaine’s mouth. They parted staring deeply into one another’s eyes.

“Wow that was the perfect ending to a perfect date...” Kurt said breathily, fireworks going off in his head; it was spinning he felt dizzy, it definitely beat the kiss with Karofsky

“Yeah, it was thank you Kurt… and thanks for the song earlier it was beautiful… you have an amazing voice…”

“Really? Thank you…” Kurt was just leaning in for another kiss when the door opened.

“Inside Kurt, you can talk to Blaine tomorrow…”

“Good Evening Mr Hummel” said Blaine bowing his head

“Good Evening Blaine, see you around”

“So how was your date son?” asked Burt as he closed the door

Kurt just sighed with satisfaction, a huge grin on his face.

“It was amazing dad, Blaine is amazing, and his brother is so nice… I’m really glad he came looking for me all those years ago…”

“Well I’m glad too, he’s got you to smile and play and sing again…”

“Me too… but I’m going to bed now, I’m really tired...”

Kurt walked to his basement bedroom, quickly searched the lyrics of the song Blaine had sung to him today at Breadstix, and quickly downloaded it… he may have found his new favourite song…
