Author's Notes: Hope you are enjoying the series
A month passed before Blaine received an e-mail from Kurt, he’d began to lose hope, thinking that maybe he didn’t want to talk at all, after all it been ages since they had spoken under the tree…

Hi Blaine,

It’s Kurt, you know from under the willow tree. Does your offer still stand? Only I’d really like to talk to someone who isn’t trying to get me to sing like my mom did… I just feel alone right now; none of my friends at school understand what I’m going through.

Hope you are well
Kurt

Blaine heart soared when he saw the name on the e-mail. He replied immediately

Hello Kurt,

I was beginning to wonder if you were okay… not that you needed to talk to me or whatever anyway. So you mom sang did she? What did she sing? And you’re not alone Kurt, you’re never alone…

you were worried about me? Really? and I *do* need to talk to you Blaine you’re the only one who understands, she sung me lullabies to get to sleep and Broadway classics… from Wicked, Funny Girl and Evita… I miss her voice Blaine.

Kurt

Of course I was, you seemed pretty upset and…. err never mind. Okay and how does thinking about her singing to you make you feel? And it’s only natural to miss her… do you have anything of hers you could use… you know like perfumes or something like that. I’m always here if you need to talk.

Go on tell me… I’m spilling all my secrets to you, you might as well tell me some stuff too. It makes me sad because I can never hear her voice again. Well there’s the dresser in my dads room, it still smells of her perfume. Thank you Blaine.

Okay it just that having only met you once I concidered you a good friend, I don’t really know why, you just seemed like a nice person… can we be friends Kurt? I’d really like that because none of my friends understand what its like to loose a parent either. Good so you have something to remember her by… why don’t you try this… go in to you dads room with the dresser and try to imagine her singing ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’ to you, you know that song right? You said she liked Evita.

Blaine

He really did want to be Kurt’s friend, he was really nice and unlike Nick and Jeff Kurt understood what it was like to loose a parent… he was finally starting to be able to talk about them and their deaths.

Thanks for that it helped a little, I think I’ll do it most nights and then it’ll be like she’s singing me to sleep. I’d love to be your friend.

They kept up these daily email’s for quite a few years. They were both juniors in high school when they decided to meet again…
