Cooper and Blaine were coming to McKinley today, to confront Karofsky…both Blaine and Cooper weren’t going to let what happened to Tobias happen to Kurt… he meant too much to Blaine… he was Blaine’s support system… he’d helped him through the grieving process.

“Thanks guys,” said Kurt, as Blaine and Cooper climbed out of Cooper’s car “But you really don’t have to do this…”

“YES! We do Kurt,” said Blaine, he had to do something… it would kill him to lose Kurt “I have to do what I can to prevent anything like Tobias happening again; especially to you… you mean everything to me Kurt.”

“You mean a lot to me too, that’s why I don’t think you should do this… you don’t know what he can do…” said Kurt sounding panicked

“What do you mean?” said Blaine, he was confused… was Kurt hiding something, was there more to this than Kurt had let on “Is there something you’re not telling me Kurt? What exactly has he done?”

“Okay,” said Kurt tears rolling down his cheeks “well he- he”

“Oh shush baby, shush…” said Blaine taking Kurt in his arms and giving him a tight hug, rubbing his left arm. “What did he do?”

Blaine was more worried now, what could get Kurt in this state? What could be so bad that he’d hide it from Blaine?

“He threatened to kill me, just because… well, let’s just say I know something about him that he doesn’t really want getting out” said Kurt.

“HE WHAT!” screamed Cooper and Blaine.

No, just no thought Blaine… no-one does that to my Kurt no one… his eyes stung with tears.

“How could you not tell me that part Kurt?” asked Blaine, his eyes shone with tears.

“I just didn’t want to upset you anymore than you already were”

“But, but baby… he threatened you how could that not make me upset…”

“Kurt!” said Cooper angrily. “Show me where he is”

Cooper appeared to be vibrating with rage, as Kurt took them around school to find Karofsky, All Blaine wanted to was punch the crap out of this guy… no-one, no-one is allowed to talk to Kurt like that…ever.

“Yeah Coop. that’s him” said Kurt reluctantly.

“What the hell are you doing threatening the life of Kurt, huh?” said Cooper pinning Karofsky to the wall. “what’s he ever done to you?”

“He knows why… and he constantly rubs his gay in my face and I’m sick of it” Karofsky spat “I don’t like seeing his faggoty face around school, it puts me off my studies”

Coopers fist whistled through the air and collided with Karofsky’s Jaw.

“Don’t you DARE use that word in front of me, its derogatory, old fashioned and just plain mean!” shouted Cooper, Blaine was proud that Cooper was his older brother… and that he cared so much about his boyfriend “Are you going to tell me why or am I going to have to force it out of you… why did you threaten Kurt!?”

“I don’t have to tell you anything!” said Karofsky as he finally managed to push Cooper off himself “And if you tell them Kurt I swear to god I WILL kill you”

Kurt sucked in a sharp breath, eyes shone with tears. Blaine wrapped one arm around Kurt and watched Cooper pulled his fist back and punching Karofsky again… Blaine quickly dialled Burt’s number on his phone whilst still holding Kurt close.

“Err, yes Mr Hummel, this is Blaine erm me and Cooper are bringing Kurt home” said Blaine

“Why is there something wrong? And why aren’t you at Dalton?” questioned Burt

“There’s something he needs to tell you…”

“But is he okay?”

“Yes, yes, we’ll bring him straight over now… we’ll be there soon”

He hung up the phone and guided Kurt back to the parking lot.

The drive to Kurt's house was silent; Kurt and Blaine were sat in the backseat snuggled together. When they arrived at Kurt's house… Kurt was shaking slightly, Blaine could tell that Kurt was nervous… but he needed to do this… Burt needed to know.

“D-d-d-dad” Kurt stuttered as he walked through the front door.

“In here kiddo, so what is it that you need to tell me? Blaine seamed really concerned on the phone” said Burt glancing at Blaine concern sounding in his voice

Kurt reached behind him a grabbed Blaine's hand; Blaine squeezed back to let Kurt know that he was there if he needed him. Blaine knew this was going to be hard for him.

“its okay sweetie, I’m here, don’t worry… just tell him”

“Okay, dad” said Kurt tears stinging his eyes as he and Blaine walked to the sofa. “There’s this jock at school…”

Kurt had tears streaming down his checks.

“He-he’s be harassing me, and-and-and…” Kurt trailed off and Blaine squeezed his hand, again

Blaine glanced at Kurt and seamed to understand, and smiled weakly at Kurt, Kurt needed him to take over, he couldn’t finish…

“Mr Hummel” Blaine began, as he cradled Kurt in his arms “this guy threatened Kurt’s life twice… Kurt knows something…and he keeps harassing him so that he won’t tell anyone”

Burt’s expression hardened, It was terrifying Blaine just hoped that he never put that look on Burst face… the wrath of Burt could be very scary.

“Why didn’t you tell me Kurt?” Burt demanded

“I-I-I didn’t want to you to get worked up, he started harassing me more when you were in your coma, and I didn’t want to put stress on your heart…”

“But Kurt I have been worried, before you and Blaine we’re dating you stayed in your room, and you hadn’t been smiling as much as you were before, it really hurt me to see you so upset and even more so to know that you weren’t talking to me about it… have you told the faculty at school?”

“I’m sorry dad… I did speak to principal Sue , but she said there’s nothing she could do… I hadn’t told her about the threats though”

“I’m going down to that school, we’re getting that kid expelled, no-one messes with the Hummels Kurt, no-one” Shouted Burt as he stormed out of the living room.

“I’m so proud of you baby” said Blaine pulling Kurt closer, he was… He was so proud that Kurt had told his dad everything.

“Thank you Blaine, thank you for bringing me to do this… I feel slightly better now, everyone I love knows”

“Kurt, Blaine! We’re going” shouted Burt from the front door.

“Okay, my brother is outside, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind driving us” said Blaine “neither of you are in any state to drive”

Kurt, Blaine and Cooper were sat on the couch in Principal Sue’s office.

“I totally agree with you, but expulsions have to go through the school board the most I can do for now is suspend him for a month whilst the case is reviewed” said Sue

Sue seemed nice; Blaine didn’t see why Kurt used to complain about her so much…

“Okay, well is there any way we can help it… you know like sway it more in our favour?”

“Well Blaine and Cooper here could make a statement on the second threat but other than that unfortunately not”

“I’ll write one” said Cooper, picking up a pen and paper from the small coffee table in front of the couch. “People like him can’t get away with that I won’t let him!”

He started to scribble down a modified account of what happened the three boys silently agreed that it probably wouldn’t help their case if they talked about Cooper hitting Karofsky ‘provoking’ him.

“I’ll write one too,” said Blaine “I’ll do anything to prevent Kurt being terrified at school, especially when I’m not here to help him”

“Thanks guys, really… thank you for everything” said Kurt.

“Okay” said Kurt.

They were sat on his bed, Principal Sue had given him the rest of the day off and Karofsky’s suspension would start tomorrow.

“Yeah, what is it honey” said Blaine, glancing into Kurt’s eyes…

“I want to tell you about why Karofsky harasses me… you should know you’re my boyfriend… It happened before I met you… in person I mean”

“Okay Kurt, I’m listening but you know you don’t have to tell me, I’ll wait until you’re ready”

He didn’t want Kurt to feel pressured in to anything… Blaine would wait for Kurt to be ready… he’d wait forever if he had to

“I want to tell you, someone should know…” said Kurt “Well it had been a pretty bad week, It was the week my dad had his heart attack, he’d been harassing me for a while and I was sick of it so one time after he shoved me into the lockers I followed him, called him out on it… told him that no matter how hard he tried he couldn’t punch the gay out of me…”

Kurt started shaking. Blaine shuffled closer and placed his hand on Kurt’s.

“and- and he kissed me… he seemed confused, a few weeks later he told me that he was jealous of how out and proud I was but if I ever told anyone about the kiss he’d kill me… I don’t think he’s ready to come out, and I’d never out anyone… I didn’t feel like I could tell anyone…”

“Oh Kurt…” said Blaine, wrapping his arms around Kurt and pulled him close, he was concerned now… he didn’t want that kiss on Monday to have scared Kurt “I’m so sorry”

“Don’t be, he is a confused little boy, terrified of the world, it’s him you should be sorry for… It’s just he stole my first real kiss, the first one that actually counted”

“Oh sweetie” said Blaine “I hope the kiss on Monday didn’t scare you or anything, we can wait for that milestone if you like… for when you’re ready I’d hate to think that that kiss was traumatic for you… I just-“

Kurt lent in and planted his lips on Blaine’s.

“Shush Blaine, that kiss was perfect, I trust you… I’ve wanted to do that for weeks, it was an amazing kiss… I saw fireworks Blaine… It was the best kiss, and the perfect way to end our first date… I love you Blaine”

“I love you too Kurt…”

With Karofsky suspended Kurt found school more pleasant, Blaine noticed he’d seemed much happier… after almost a month Sue had called Kurt in to her office to give him the great news that Karofsky’s expulsion and been pushed through, He’d not be returning to McKinley High School. After school that day Cooper took him and Blaine out for ice cream to celebrate.
