Whilst doing so he managed to hear Blaine mumble something, but he couldn't quite make out what it was. Kurt nuzzled his nose against Blaine's, trying to get him to talk. The outcome however, made Blaine laugh at first. "Wow." Blaine's little wow made Kurt smile. "Wow yourself, Mr. Anderson."
"I didn't think you…" Blaine began speak until Kurt kissed him again. This kiss was different. It was a short and sweet peck on the lips unlike the last kiss they had shared. "Sh." Kurt murmured against Blaine's lips. "You've done enough talking. Now it's my turn." Blaine smiled against Kurt's lips, agreeing to Kurt's demand. Kurt moved his hands slowly down from Blaine's face, to his shoulders, arms, and down to his hands. He took Blaine's hands in his and at the same time they both repositioned themselves. Kurt sat back, moving his face away from Blaine's so he could talk. Blaine sort of slumped over on Kurt, leaning his head on his shoulder.
"First, you don't know how long I've been waiting to do that. And as nervous as I was, I think I did an excellent job." Blaine couldn't help to laugh. He loved how Kurt made it sound like them sharing a kiss was an accomplishment. But to Kurt, it really was. "Second of all, you do not bother me one bit. So get that out of your head!" Kurt's tone was a bit assertive. He was trying to get his point across after all. He continued talking with a sweeter tone. "If you did bother me, I wouldn't have kissed you. And lastly, I was only going to leave to let you return to your studies, not because I wanted to. Believe me, if I could be by your side all day every day, I would." Kurt squinted his eyes. That last sentence didn't register with him that well. "That last part wasn't supposed to sound creepy."
Blaine lifted his head from Kurt shoulder and looked up at him while he rubbed his thumbs over Kurt's hands in reassurance. "I know what you mean baby. It's not creepy, the implications are cute." Kurt let out a quiet sigh of relief which was followed by a smile. He wasn't sure if Blaine caught what just left his mouth. "Baby..." Kurt loved Blaine's little term of endearment. "Good. The last thing I need is to scare the guy I like away."
Blaine's eyelashes fluttered and his smile took over his whole face, his teeth showing. "You like me?" Kurt rolled his eyes, looking down at Blaine as if he had nine heads. Did he just really ask this question? That isn't even an accurate question. Of course Kurt liked Blaine. He thought that kiss would have made it clear but apparently not. Blaine might have been good at flirting, but when it came to the real deal – feelings, he was clueless.
"Blaine Anderson, do you think I would waste my first real kiss on someone that I didn't like? I thought you knew me better than that." Kurt realized he was being a bit sassy. Before anything else was said he thought he'd soften the mood again. "Of course I like you Blaine. I've always liked you. Ever since I saw you on the staircase I knew I wanted you… to kiss you, to hold you…" Blaine started turning red again. Could he get any more adorable? Maybe Kurt didn't know Blaine as well as he thought. Then again, he didn't know this side of Blaine. There was a side of Blaine that was crushing on Kurt behind the flirting that Kurt thought was meaningless. Kurt couldn't get over this at all. He didn't think this was ever possible but thank god it was.
"Well then how come you never did anything about it? I wouldn't have obliged you taking me right then and there on the staircase." Kurt shrugged, squeezing Blaine's hands softly. "I didn't know you wanted me to do anything about it. I thought you were just meaninglessly flirting with me."
Blaine moved back a little, tilting his head at Kurt. "Well now you know, for the record. I've been right here, waiting, liking you from afar. Hoping something would happen." Kurt pulled Blaine close again, placing their intertwined fingers right between his knee and his thigh. He didn't know want to make Blaine uncomfortable so he thought there was an alright place.
"Yes I know and I did something about it." He kissed Blaine's forehead softly. "I didn't think you would just spring all that on me. It was surprising the least." Blaine bit his bottom lip, sucking some air as he did so. "Sorry about that. It was pent up emotion. I couldn't deal with it. Sometimes when I have to let it out, it just comes out like word vomit. I can't stop talking and…" Kurt pressed his lips against Blaine's again. This kiss lasted a little longer than the last which made Blaine realize he was talking too much. His word vomit had been acting up. "Sorry, sorry!" Kurt laughed quietly, looking over at Blaine whose face looked uneasy. "Don't worry. I get it and I think it's absolutely adorable." Blaine's expression lightened up. "Good and I mean if I talk too much there's always ways of making me stop."
Both of the boys laughed in unison when they heard the bell ring from the hall. "Ugh." A grunt left from both of their lips simultaneously. Blaine lazily got up, pulling Kurt along up with him. They stood face to face, still holding each other's hands. Kurt spoke first. "I had almost forgotten we were actually in school for a second." Blaine pulled Kurt in closely. "Come on. I'll walk you to class." Kurt shook his head in protest. "No you will not. You don't need to be late to class on account of me." Blaine released one of Kurt's hands to grab his bang from the couch and handed it to him. "Don't worry, I have Intro to Theatre. I'll just tell my professor I got caught up studying." Kurt took the bag from Blaine and shrugged. "Well in that case, I think I can make an exception." Blaine kissed Kurt on the cheek before releasing the last hand of Kurt's he was still holding onto. He turned to the desk where his books were and scooped them up. While Blaine grabbed his books, Kurt turned back to the couch and grabbed Blaine's sweatshirt for him.
They both exited the room, Blaine stopping in front of the door once again. He grabbed the key from his pocket with his free hand and locked the door. Slipping the key back into his pocket, he reached out for Kurt's hand. Kurt looked up at Blaine hesitantly. "Are you sure it's okay? Gay PDA is alright in the hallways of Dalton?" Blaine shook his head and grabbed Kurt's hand immediately. "Walking down the hallway holding hands is fine. Remember when I showed you the shortcut to the Senior Commons the first day we met? I grabbed your hand then and no one said anything. I'm sure it's okay now." They started walking down the hallway, Kurt leading Blaine to his class which was down the hall from Blaine's. It worked out great actually. Blaine wouldn't be that late after all. They both came to a halt in front of door of Kurt's classroom. "Thanks for walking me to class. You didn't have to." Blaine squeezed Kurt's hand softly. "But I wanted to." Kurt didn't know if he should hug Blaine or kiss him right then and there so Kurt settled on a decision and kissed Blaine on his cheek. "See you later?" Blaine looked at Kurt hopeful that he would indeed see him later. "Yeah." Kurt nodded and let go of Blaine's hand. Both boys parted their ways to their classroom.
Kurt proceeded to his seat and sat down. He went to take his bag off his shoulder when he realized something in his hand. It was Blaine's sweatshirt. He must have forgotten he was holding it. Kurt shrugged it off, laughing at himself. He placed Blaine's sweatshirt on the back of his chair. Kurt knew he would definitely have to see Blaine later on to give him his sweatshirt back. He smiled to himself, feeling giddy at the thought of seeing Blaine later. Class was about to start but Kurt found it hard to concentrate. All he could think about was Blaine – and damn it, he rather think about Blaine then class right now.
