Come Monday morning, Chloe was so upset by the lack of information on what had happened Friday night, she was becoming physically affected. She slouched down in her assigned seat, next to a girl who was like an annoying Jewish version of herself: Rachel Berry.
"Are you okay?" Rachel asked, staring at Chloe's head, which was flat on the desk, her arms folded beneath it.
"No." Her responce was pouty and muffled, like a toddler hiding under their blankets.
"Well what's wrong with you?" the other girl prodded.
Chloe groaned and lifted her head off the desk. "My best friends refuse to hook up becuase they're afraid of what other people will say."
"Oh..kay." Rachel shuffled her papers. "Who?"
Chloe had never really talked to this girl before, because she dressed like an eighty-year-old who's brain had stopped developing at the age of seven. (She looked Rachel up and down, trying not to laugh at her American Girl Store dress and faux-aligator-skin penny loafers.) But even though they didn't know each other, Chloe felt there was a trustworthy air to the poorly-dressed, large-nosed girl. "Kurt and Blaine."
"Hummel and Anderson?" Rachel asked, as if there were any other boys by the names of Kurt and Blaine in their school.
"Yes."
"Well, isn't Blaine dating Quinn Fabray?" Rachel asked, eyes drifting to her (awful) shoes. Rachel really didn't like that girl.
"Well...well yes, but...it's a long story," Chloe stammered.
"Aha. Well, if you ever want to tell me, I'm here. Or in the choir room, for Glee club."
"Glee club?"
"It's new. Well, we had one here a few years ago, when you and I weren't here yet. But there's one here this year now."
Chloe found it sad that she'd learned about this club the last week of school.
"We're actually holding auditions today," Rachel beamed.
"Today?" Chloe repeated. "Why so late in the year?"
"We're playing the Last Day of School assembly, and we need a few voices."
"Maybe I'll drop by," Chloe said, and then the bell rang and she threw her bag over her shoulder and walked out.
"I don't understand what this has to do with the boys," Winter said, kicking a foot rythmically against the metal beams of the luch table.
"They could duet."
It was simple, really. Kurt was a countertenor, he could easily pull off any kind of duet with anyone. And Blaine's voice was wonderful, and they could go to that Glee club and duet and it would be wonderful.
"Are you sure this isn't just so you can sing?" Winter scoffed.
Chloe mock gasped, before a sarcastic, "I'm wounded."
"Who told you about this, anyway?"
"Rachel Berry."
Winter nearly spit the water she was drinking out of her mouth. "CHLOE!"
"What?"
"She's a bigger loser than us!"
"That's saying something..."
"Why were you talking to her?!"
"I sit next to her in homeroom. She's nice."
"She dresses like a bait girl on To Catch A Predator."
"I know. But she's...I don't know. It's nice to have friends out of the group."
Winter sighed. "Okay, we'll do the stupid Glee thing."
"Yay!!!" Chloe beamed, eyes twinkling silvery-blue with joy.
"But if you're gonna befriend a loser, can it at least be Wheelchair Kid?"
"Hello, Glee losers!" Chloe smiled as she, Winter, Kurt and Blaine entered the choir room. "Your saviours are here!"
Rachel looked around nervously. Everyone must have known she'd invited these misfits. "Hello," she said, seemingly in an attempt to make them less...intimidating? "What are you guys going to be singing today?"
"I think maybe," Chloe said, glancing at Blaine, who had his guitar case in hand, "some Panic! at the Disco."
"Uh, great," Rachel said, obviously regretting her choice to tell these people about the club.
Chloe grinned. "Trust me, you won't regret it."
Blaine played a chord and Chloe took the microphone stand in hand and raised it to her mouth.
Is it still me who makes you sweat?
Am I who you think about in bed?
When the lights are dim and your hands are shaking as you're sliding off her dress?
Then think of what you did
And how I hope to god she was worth it,
When the lights are dim and your heart is racing as your fingers touch your skin.
Rachel, Tina Cohen-Chang and Artie Abrams looked mortified. What was wrong, had they never heard something other than show tunes?
Blaine chuckled to himself and sang into another mic.
I've got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch a better fuck
Than any boy you'll ever meet, sweetie you had me.
Girl I was it, look past the sweat,
A better love deserving of
Exchanging body heat in the passenger seat?
No, no, you know it will always be me.
Let's get these teen hearts beating faster, faster!
The four then sang the chorus, humored by the looks of shock on the three other children's faces.
Winter grinned almost maniacly before singing her solo.
So I guess we're back to us, oh cameraman, swing the focus,
In case I lost my train of thought, where was it that we last left off?
Oh now I do recall, we were just getting to the part,
Where the shock sets in and the stomach acid finds a new way to make you get sick.
Blaine looked at Kurt expectantly, and he tensed for a mere second before taking the microphone in his hand.
I hope you didn't expect that you'd get all the attention.
Let's not get selfish,
Did you really think I'd let you kill this chorus?
Let's get these teen hearts beating faster, faster!
Let's get these teen hearts beating faster!
Blaine almost forgot how to play his guitar after that little display. But they cut the song short and Rachel applauded them and Chloe and Winter talked to the rest of the group and Blaine pulled Kurt out of the room, saying they'd be back and they had to go to the bathroom andthenhepinnedhimagainstthelockersandhekissedhim.
"That was so hot," Blaine panted, once his mind had stopped moving in hyperspeed.
"You're so hot," Kurt giggled and Blaine kissed him again, holding his wrists behind his head against the cold metal. It was Kurt's first kiss and he hadn't expected it to be so agressive, or needy. Or hot.
And he certainly hadn't expected it to be with Blaine.
1 NEW MESSAGE FROM: KURTSIE
1 NEW MESSAGE FROM: BLAINERS
Chloe grinned at the names on her screen, not regretting changing Blaine's contact name to something less boring. She opened Kurt's message first.
From: Kurtsie
Hey. The weirdest thing happened today. I think I'm in love.
Chloe grinned. Then she opened the message from Blaine.
From: Blainers
CHLOE. I KISSED HIM. I KISSED KURT. LIKE, JUST SAYING. YOU SHOULD MAYBE CALL ME BEFORE I DIE FROM LACK OF DISCUSSION. BECAUSE I WANT TO TELL SOMEONE ALL ABOUT IT.
Chloe screamed out of excitement, then wrote out a text to Winter.
To: Aerosmith
THEY KISSED!!!!!! But whatever. ;D
