Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got my hypnotized, so mezmerized,
And I just gotta know...
1 NEW MESSAGE FROM: KURTSIE
Beeeeeeeeee! Are you guys still coming to Blaine's tonight?
Chloe grinned. It was only six am. Of course Kurt was thinking of Blaine's party.
To: Kurtsie
Of course we are. Unless you don't want us to?
Chloe giggled and sat down on the couch, flipping to an American Idol rerun. "Simon's such a bitch," she smiled to herself.
From: Kurtsie
Oh my gosh, Bee! What did she tell you?
To: Kurtsie
Nothing. But it's 6am and you're talking about Blaine's party, which is at seven tonight. Come on, Kurtsie, that counts for something.
From: Kurtsie
I'm not gay.
To: Kurtsie
I know.
From: Kurtsie
Liking Blaine doesn't make me gay.
To: Kurtsie
I never said it did.
From: Kurtsie
And the fact that I'm in love with him doesn't mean I'm gay.
To: Kurtsie
CALL ME (MAYBE)!!!
"Kurt!" Chloe demanded as soon as her phone rang.
"I know." She could hear Kurt's eyebrows knitting together in frustration.
"So...are you okay?" she asked.
Kurt sighed, running a hand through his hair, which was still wet from a shower. "I don't know. I mean, I'm...I'm not...I'm not gay. I just, I like spending time with him. I like his eyes - come on, they're georgous - and his dorky smile, and his Tim Burton hair and his voice. And the way he makes me feel special."
"You are special, Kurt."
"I know, but...no one else makes me feel like he does."
Chloe's heart sputtered in her chest. "Kurt, you need to tell him."
"It's no use. He has a girlfriend, Bee. It's just a crush."
She sighed and slumped into the couch. "We're talking about this when I get to school."
"Why not now?"
"Because I need to do hair, make-up, clothes - "
"Okay okay okay," Kurt whined. "Talk to me at school."
It wasn't the first time Blaine was nervous about having Kurt over. In fact, he was always trying to impress Kurt. But he'd never really had a party, even if it was just the four of them, and he was worried. What if Kurt acted differently towards him when there were people around? Or what if he acted the same, and then people called them gay? Sure, Winter and Chloe wouldn't say anything, but...what if Punk'd was shooting an episode next door, and they say Kurt falling asleep against Blaine's shoulder?
Pull yourself together, Anderson, he thought, staring at himself in the mirror. It's just Kurt. And Winter and Chloe. They're not going to judge you.
The doorbell rang as if on cue, and Blaine strainghtened out his pajama shirt and answered it.
"Blainers!" Chloe exclaimed and threw him into a hug. He laughed and wrapped his thin arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder to speak to the others.
"Hey guys," he smiled. Winter and Kurt padded into his living room, and eventually Chloe released him from her toddler-hug and let him host.
"You're house is pretty," Winter remarked, eyeing the deep maroon walls.
"It's...yeah," Blaine said, totally distracted by the fact that Chloe was sitting on Kurt's lap, and that sent a pang of jealousy up his spine.
"So, bedroom?" Chloe asked, raising one eyebrow.
"What is this, an orgy?" Winter asked. Kurt snorted, which had to be the cutest sound Blaine had ever heard in his life.
"N-no," Blaine stammered.
"Blaine's big TV is in his bedroom," Kurt said, because he'd been here enough to know everything about the house.
"Y-yeah," Blaine said, and Kurt pulled him by the wrist towards the bedroom.
The girls excused themselves for a moment to talk about whatever. "Girl stuff," Chloe had told Kurt, whatever that meant. The girls had come in pajamas and Blaine was in night clothes too, and Kurt felt stuffy and out of place in his cashmere sweater and thich black jeans.
"Blainers?"
Blaine diverted his attention from the gore of Dawn of the Dead to look at Kurt. "Kurtsie?" he asked, and Kurt blushed.
"Do you have, like, pajamas I could borrow?"
Blaine grinned. "Planning on spending the night?"
"Maybe," Kurt said, "or maybe I just don't want to be the well-dressed elephant in the room."
Blaine stood up and crossed over to his dresser. "Here," he said, handing Kurt some flannel pants and a thin grey T shirt. "You can change in the bathroom."
"Thank you," Kurt giggled, and made his way into the bathroom.
"Thanks again for having us, Blaine," Chloe smiled as she and Winter walked out the front door.
"Any thime, girls," Blaine returned the smile. "Thanks for coming!"
The two girls waved and Blaine walked back into his basement bedroom, where Kurt was lying flat on his back - on the floor - staring at Blaine's popcorn ceiling. His thin T shirt was folded meticulously on the edge of Blaine's bed.
"Uhm, Kurtsie?" Blaine asked, trying hard not to stare at Kurt's soft, flat, silvery-pale torso. "What are you doing?"
"I got hot," Kurt informed him simply. "And hot air rises."
Blaine chuckled and laid down on the bed. He didn't turn off the light. He wasn't ready to sleep yet, but maybe it would be better than having to stare at the beautiful boy in front of him for any longer. Yes, this was going to be a very long night.
