A very drunk couple stumble into their bedroom, giggling and kissing visible skin. The taller one stumbles onto the bed and bursts into a giggle fit.
"Shhh." said the shorter one. "Youll wake the kids."
The taller one nodded and made a locking motion with his hands around his lips before pulling the shorter man down on him and kissing him passionately.
Kurt groaned as he put his head in his hands. There was only a minute thirty left on the timer, but it felt like forever. He just wanted to know whether he was pregnant or not so he could go back downstairs and finish making dinner. Why was that so hard to ask for? Kurt got up and started pacing. He was way too nervous to be sitting anymore and he really wished that he had some moral support with him, but Blaine was still at rehearsals and wouldnt be home for another two hours. Just thinking of needing Blaine there made him think about their poor decisions that night those weeks ago.
"Blaine, do we have any condoms left?" Kurt asked as Blaine pulled his mouth off with a pop. He leaned over Kurt, letting out a moan because his cock brushed up against Kurts wet one, and opened the drawer.
"No." he mumbled. He then leaned down to kiss Kurts neck. "Still wanna do this?" he asked.
"Yes." Kurt said.
After Kurt said yes, the rest was history. They had unprotected sex and thought they would be safe. But according to this pregnancy test, they hadnt been safe. Kurt was pregnant. Tears filled his eyes as he tossed the pregnancy test in the garbage. He slid to the ground and cried. He was too old to be a father again, not that 42 was old. Just too old to have a kid.
When Kurt was done crying, he got up and splashed cold water in his face before heading downstairs to finish dinner. But as he passed the powder room, he heard a gagging noise coming from it. Lennox and Tracy were at after school activities and Dakota was at a friend's house. The only other person that was home with him was Elizabeth. She would have been at cheerleading practice but she came home with the claim of a stomach ache. Kurt stopped and knocked on the door.
"Liz?" he asked as he opened the door to find Elizabeth kneeling over the toilet. "Sweetheart, are you okay?" he asked as he knelt down and rubbed her back. She shook her head and reached up to push down the handle.
"No, Papa. I told you I had a stomach ache, remember?" Liz said.
Kurt stood up and helped her up. "Why dont you go upstairs and brush your teeth and ill make you soup for dinner?" he said as he kissed her forehead. She nodded and headed upstairs. Kurt made his way to the kitchen and got a can of soup going. As Kurt was heating up the soup for his oldest daughter, Liz was pacing her room, too shaken up about what happened to head back downstairs immediately. She thought for sure her dad was going to figure out why she was vomiting all of a sudden. Liz was feeling normal up until a week ago and that was when she knew she couldn't keep her own pregnancy a secret any longer. She was planning on telling her parents, but she didn't know when the right time would be.
Feeling much better than she had been earlier, Liz made her way downstairs right as Blaine and the rest of the family had come home. The kids went their separate ways while Blaine headed to the kitchen to greet his husband.
“Mm, that smells good, beautiful.” he said as he wrapped his arms around Kurt's waist and kissed him. Kurt giggled and smiled before leaning into Blaine's warm embrace.
“I missed you today.” Kurt said as he turned the stove off and turned around to give Blaine a kiss. “Hey, I have something to tell you, but after dinner, okay?” he said before unwrapping Blaine's arms. “Kids, dinner!” he called out.
”This is really good, Papa.” Tracy said with a smile as she reached out for another breadstick. Kurt had made lasagna with garlic breadsticks and salad, but after eating the salad, Kurt's stomach had started to churn so he was just picking at his lasagna.
“Hon, you haven't eaten a bite.” Blaine said, noticing that Kurt's plate was still full of lasagna.
“Oh, I had a big lunch with a few co-workers.” he said, giving Blaine a smile. Blaine just shrugged and went back to eating. Kurt looked back down at his plate as Lennox started rambling about how school and practice went. As Lennox was talking, Liz wasn't really listening and was thinking to herself as she ate her soup. The lasagna looked really good, but she didn't want her parents to be suspicious as to why she wouldn't eat the soup so she decided to play it safe. She would be sneaking a slice of lasagna in the middle of the night.
When Lennox was done talking, it was Tracy's turn to talk about her day and that's when it happened.
“I'm pregnant.” Liz said, making the whole room go quiet. She didn't mean to say it right then and there and she instantly regretted it.
“Kids, go upstairs to your rooms.” Blaine said. Luckily, the three kids went upstairs without any arguments, although they would be listening carefully to the conversation that was about to take place.
"Living room. Now." Blaine instructed. The three of them got up and headed in there.
"Daddy, I can explain." Liz started, but Blaine held his hand up and pointed to the couch. She slowly sat down and Kurt sat down next to her. He really didnt know what to do.
”How could you be so irresponsible, Elizabeth?” Blaine asked as he was pacing the living room floor. Kurt and Elizabeth were sitting on the couch, Kurt thinking about what had just happened and Elizabeth in tears.
“We gave you the talk, told you that you could come to us if needed be. Weren't you being safe?' he asked, stopping and crossing his arms.
“I-I thought we w-were, Daddy. Jace t-told me he had a condom.” she managed to get out before bursting into tears. Blaine sighted and put his hands on his hips.
“That's enough for tonight. We'll talk more in tomorrow.” he said as Elizabeth ran past him and headed upstairs. Kurt stood up and walked over to Blaine and hugged him.
“Let's go to bed.” Kurt said before they walked upstairs. As Blaine was getting ready for bed, he noticed something in the garbage can. He reached down and picked it up. His heart dropped when he saw it was a pregnancy test.
“Kurt?” he asked as he walked out of the bathroom and held the stick up. “I-Is this yours?” he asked softly.
Kurt looked up from his book and his face paled when he saw the stick. He nodded and Blaine tossed it on the floor.
“How could you not tell me?” he asked.
“I was going to but with what happened with Elizabeth, I was going to wait until the timing was better. I'm sorry.” he said quietly, tears forming in his eyes. Blaine climbed on the bed and wrapped his arms around Kurt.
“It'll be okay, baby.” he said, kissing his temple. “It'll be okay.”
