The hour of seven comes far to quickly for Blaine's liking as he groans at the sound of his alarm clock constantly bleeping. He shrugs himself from the warmth his bed creates, hauls himself to the shower and lets the water trickle down his body. The boy takes a red and navy blue towel from the towel rack and quickly dabs his hair before tying it around his waist and allowing it to hang loosely as he emerges from the steaming bathroom and into his bedroom, walking to his closet to pick an outfit for the day. He decides to go for a look resulting in a cream shirt with pearl buttons done to the top assisted with a black bowtie; black, velvet suspenders, burgundy trousers, revealing a little bit of his ankles and cream and grey brogues.
"Well don't you look dapper?" Sam coos, opening the door for Blaine to slip in. Blaine shrugs as he secures himself with the seatbelt.
"Have you learnt your lines? You'll be doing the scene where you go on a date with Ella." Sam says, passing Blaine a medium-drip coffee.
Blaine takes a sip before replying, "No...you didn't give them to me."
Sam laughs and rolls his eyes, "Where is my brain these days? Here you go," He passes Blaine a sheet of paper with the title 'Date Two Scene'.
"Learn it quick." Sam orders.
"We'll see."
The scene is in a fish restaurant, 'The Plaice', and Kitty Wilde, who plays Ella Adams, is sat in the centre, gawking up at Artie, the director as he gives her instructions. Artie nods at Blaine and he starts the scene.
"Hey, sorry I'm late," He says, walking up to the table and sitting down. "This is not the way I planned on starting this date," He laughs.
"Oh, no, it's fine, honestly." Kitty smiles.
"Here's your food." A waitress smiles, placing spaghetti in front of the two.
"I ordered you food, I hope that's okay." The girl opposite Blaine smiles, he smiles back and nods in gratitude.
"So, Alex, why were you late exactly? You weren't quickly finishing a date with another girl I hope!" Kitty laughs, quite wildly as she swirls a strand of spaghetti around her fork and flips her hair a little too over the top.
"Oh God no! I...I..." Blaine furrows his eyebrows in concentration with the next line. He gives up and looks towards Artie.
"I was on the phone with my sister, and if you know my sister, you would know it wouldn't be one of those phone calls you can just hang up on." The director finishes, rolling his eyes.
"I was on the phone with my sister...and if you kneow my sister, you would know it wouldn't be one of those calls you can just hang up on." Blaine tries to repeat, slurring his words slightly.
"Cut!" Artie barks through his megaphone.
"Sorry..." Blaine laughs.
"Kneow?" Kitty asks.
"I couldn't decide between 'knew' or 'know'," Blaine blushes, chuckling.
"Do it again." Artie says.
During their third take of the scene, Blaine catches sight of a boy whispering something in Artie's ear. He is a slender and quite tall boy with eyes of a glasz colour. His skin is very pale and clear and his hair is of a chestnut colour and perfectly coiffed.
The mysterious new boy finishes whatever he has to say in Artie's ear, causing him to abruptly stop the scene and hurry out the door leaving the boy to make shifty eyes at nearly everything in the room, obviously not trying to show his awkwardness although it is failing miserably.
The cast are allowed a break and the first Blaine Anderson does is, no, not to rehearse lines like a normal actor would do but he walks straight up to the boy.
"Hey," He beams, his beam faltering though as he realizes he's startled the poor boy. "I'm-"
"B...B...Blaine Anderson..." The boy gapes.
"That's the one, and you are?"
"Kurt. Kurt Hummel." The boy replies, sheepishly.
Blaine sticks out his hand and Kurt gently shakes it. His hand feels smooth and gentle, yet there is a rough side to it.
"I've never seen you around. Are you-"
"I just got the job. I'm working as Artie's...worker...person." Kurt says; his forehead creases slightly as he struggles to find a title for himself.
"Assistant." Blaine addresses him, laughing fondly.
"Yeah...that. Oh my God, look at the time!" Kurt gaspes, staring blankly at his watch, I'd better go."
"Where to?" Blaine asks, addled.
"My roommate is...Sorry, I just really have to go." Kurt says, waving goodbye to Blaine before exiting the set completely.
