It is the same afternoon Kurt stands by his locker and suddenly feels someone breathe hot against his neck. The whisper that follows makes him shiver:

“I know you’re thinking about me, dreaming about me. You know you want me.”

When Kurt turns around the hallway is empty and Blaine is gone. And Kurt can’t really help that he is dreaming about Blaine that night, can he? It is not his fault that he wakes up panting, covered in sweat and his sticky beddings in a mess around him. Because you don’t chose your own dreams.

Not your dreams, but maybe your thoughts. Maybe he has got himself to blame for thinking about him all weekend. It is just that Blaine has crept up underneath his skin and infected his brain, he can’t get rid of him. And he is ashamed of himself, he really is, when he sneaks his sheets into the washing machine on both Saturday and Sunday morning. And when Burt asks him what is wrong Kurt does his best to convince him that everything is alright, nothing is wrong.

But on Monday morning he is such a mess even Finn notices something. Kurt snaps him off even though he feels guilty about it, and Finn leaves him alone after that. Nevertheless, the questions from the confused, half-awake Finn, has worked as an alarm clock, and when he pulls up at school half an hour later he has already decided what to do. He is going to walk up to Blaine, smirk and all, and ask him what he is after. And then, Kurt takes a deep breath, he will have the courage to tell him to leave him alone.

But even though Kurt looks, and he looks really hard, Blaine is nowhere to be found.
