That June the boys graduated from McKinley, both sets of parents gave each boys a standing ovation as he crossed the stage, Blaine had of course walked across the stage first and when Kurt was done Blaine was waiting by the edge of the stage to give him a congratulatory kiss.

                In August they moved to a small apartment in New York that they shared with Rachel and later Santana when she showed up one day and announced she was moving in. The first week they were in New York they did all the touristy things at Blaine’s insistence.  At the top of the Empire State building Blaine couldn’t help but shout his love for Kurt for all of New York to hear just like he said he would on their second date. Kurt blushed and gave a small wave to all the people who turned and looked at them and then leaned in and whispered to Blaine that he loves Blaine.

                In September Kurt started at NYADA but hated it, in January he started at Parsons and loved it. Blaine went to Columbia, he decided to study English Literature and loved it, he sang at a local restaurant about three times a week, every Saturday Kurt would join him for a duet or two, or more if Blaine and the crowd could convince him. Kurt got a job at Vogue.com which he loved and Blaine got a job at a bookstore.

                After living in New York for three years the boys moved into their own apartment, deciding that all though they loved Rachel and Santana it was time for them to have their own space. Brittany moved in after they moved out and her and Santana moved into Kurt and Blaine’s old room as it was the biggest and the most appropriate for a couple.  Both Kurt and Blaine were really busy with school and their jobs and hadn’t had much time to spend together when Blaine insisted they take a night off. Kurt protested saying he had too much work but Blaine gave him the puppy dog look that he knew Kurt couldn’t say no to and Kurt agreed to go. Blaine took them to the top of the Empire State Building where he proposed.
