“What are you doing here?” Blaine asked.

“I figured it has been much too long since I’ve seen my little brother and you seemed like you could use a little cheering up.”

Blaine started to protest that he was fine but Cooper raised an eyebrow letting Blaine know that Cooper could still tell when Blaine was lying the way he could when they were kids and Blaine told him the neighbour’s dog was the one who broke Cooper’s G.I. Joe or when Blaine told him it was their mother who threw out all the socks in the house.

                “Thank you Coop.”

“Any time little bro, now come on I want to go to the Lima Bean, I don’t know what they put in their coffee but I can dam well tell you I can’t find a cup anywhere near as good in LA.”

“I’ll never turn down a trip to the Lima Bean.” Blaine said smiling.

It wasn’t long until the two brothers arrived at the Lima Bean, got their coffees and grabbed a spot on the couch.

“So do you want to tell me all about this guy of yours or is it too painful?” Cooper asked Blaine.

“Oh Coop, he’s everything I’ve always wanted you know? I swear he’s the most beautiful man to walk the face of the earth and he has the voice of an angel.” Blaine gushed.

“I just realised you never did tell me why you two broke up.”

                “It’s really complicated.”

“I may not be the genius of the family but I am rather intelligent I might be able to understand.”

“There’s this guy at school….” Blaine started.

“Another guy? Did you cheat Blaine? ‘Cause that’s not cool.”

                “No! No, this guy is….he’s…homophobic.”

Cooper sat up straighter, the word homophobic combined with his brother’s tone putting him on edge.

“What did he do to you?” Cooper asked his voice tense.

“He just threatened me, told me to break up with Kurt or…”

                “Or?”

“Ummm….his cousin was one of the guys at camp; he said he’d make that a happy memory for me.”

                “I’ll kill him.”

“Cooper.” Blaine said his voice soft trying to calm his brother down as he put his hand on Cooper’s arm.

“I saw you and was coming to say ‘hello’ but since you’re obviously on a date I guess I should just go.” Kurt’s voice said interrupting the brothers’ discussion before turning and walking away quickly.

“Kurt!” Blaine cried jumping over the back of the couch and chasing after his ex-boyfriend.

“What? Are you coming to tell me you’ve moved on? I kinda figured that out for myself.” Kurt spat.

“No, Kurt you don’t understand.” Blaine said grabbing Kurt’s arm and turning the taller boy to face him.

“Really? What don’t I understand Blaine?”

                “That’s Cooper!”

Blaine looked at Kurt’s face watching as he scanned his memory for the name.

                “My brother.” Blaine supplied.

“OH! Oh god! I’m sorry. I shouldn’t jump to conclusions.”

“No you shouldn’t. But the jealousy thing was kinda hot. If you were still my boyfriend I’d be all over you right now.”

                “Really?”

                “Hell yeah.”

The two boys looked at each other.

“But we aren’t so I’m going to walk away and rejoin my brother.” Blaine smirked once again leaving Kurt gawking after him as he walked away.

End Notes: I just finished writing a one-shot about why Blaine hates socks, anyone want to read it?
