Blaine woke-up knowing that today was the day. Today he’d serenade Kurt in front of the school and Kurt would run up to him and kiss him and then they’d ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after. Yup, by the end of the day he’d have his boyfriend back and everything would be perfect Blaine was certain of it.

He walked over to his closet and picked out a pair of jeans that he could dance in but still showed off his ass, he wasn’t conceited but he knew that he had a pretty great ass and hell if he needed to play that card to win Kurt back he would do it. It had been a week since he picked the song, he had given the sheet music to the band and got Mike to help him with some simple yet impressive choreography, Mike was obviously a way better dancer than Cooper but part of Blaine still wished it was Cooper who had helped him.

The morning went by in a blur and before Blaine knew it lunch had arrived. Mike had agreed to get the glee club to eat outside telling them that Blaine had a big project to work on and was going to eat his lunch in the library while he worked on it. Mike couldn’t help but smile at the look of disappointment on Kurt’s face, knowing it wouldn’t last long.

The music started causing all the glee clubbers to look at each other trying to figure out which one of them was about to burst into song, all of them but Mike who looked straight ahead at the stairs where he knew Blaine was about to appear, one by one they all started to look where Mike was looking except for Kurt. Kurt was looking at his phone wondering why he hadn’t heard from Blaine all day, hoping a text would appear or something, something that let him know Blaine hadn’t forgotten about him, something that let him know Blaine was still interested.

Blaine looked Kurt in the eyes, this line why was he chose the song and he needed Kurt to he meant it as he sang Who I was wasn't me

Blaine danced around the stairs, lost in his own world which contained only him, Kurt and the song.

Kurt watched Blaine in awe, was he really singing this for him? Did he really make it easier for Blaine to be Blaine? How is that possible when Blaine was safe before Kurt came along and now he was subject to the same homophobic abuse that Kurt had suffered for years?

Blaine finished singing standing in front of Kurt, panting slightly he watched Kurt waiting for him to do something, to say something. Kurt locked eyes with the shorter boy and then did the only thing he could think of, he ran away.
