“Can I talk to you for a second Kurt?” Cooper asked as soon as Kurt walked into the hotel the cast would be staying at, he had been sitting in one of the armchairs of the lobby apparently waiting for Kurt to arrive.

            “Of course.”

“What I said to you back at the Lima Bean before I knew you were Blaine’s soul mate, don’t take it seriously, ok? I was being an asshole, not intentionally, but I was. Blaine’s a romantic, he’s always known his soul mate was out there somewhere, that you were out there somewhere. He was so set on finding the one that he almost lost himself in the search and that worried me, I was scared that he’d end up giving his heart away to the wrong guy out of desperation to find the right one. But when I saw the two of you together I could tell that’s not what happened. You two belong together and I feel like such an asshole for ever doubting Blaine’s instincts. I’m sorry for what I said to you, I should’ve kept my big mouth shut until I had all the facts."

“I get the instinct to try and protect your brother, I really do, I’d give anything to go back and…” Kurt shook his head knowing that line of thinking was useless. “My point is I understand where you were coming from and I accept your apology. I love Blaine with my whole being and I know he feels the same about me.”

            “That’s all that matters.”

“Now why the hell are we having this conversation in the lobby? I know there’s no way in the hell the tour has sprung for everyone to have their own room so help me with my bags up to ours.”

“You still want to room with me?”

“Of course I do you idiot, you’re my best friend here. Besides I know if I ever want to have skype sex with Blaine that you’ll vacate the room as quickly as possible.”

Cooper shuddered at the thought. Kurt wasn’t actually planning on having skype sex with Blaine but Cooper didn’t need to know that.

After Kurt dropped his luggage off in his and Cooper’s room Cooper showed him where the theatre was.

“So glad you could join us Kurt.” Tony said coldly. “Everyone else got back yesterday.”

“I was under the impression we didn’t have a show until tonight.” Kurt replied cocking his head to the side.

“We don’t but there is such a thing as rehearsal.”

“We’ve been performing the exact same show every night for months, I’m pretty sure we could all perform it our sleep at this point.”

“I don’t see what could be more important then being here.”

“I met my soul mate ok? I wanted to spend some time with him and I really didn’t see any point spending an extra night in some cheap hotel in the middle of Hickville USA when I could be with him.”

“Why don’t we have a quick run through now, just to get everyone back in the rhythm?” Amy spoke up breaking the tension, she was not only Tony’s assistant she was also the peace maker of the group.

The confrontation with Tony had Kurt questioning why he came back but as soon as he slipped back into being Angel he remembered why, he loved being on the stage and if it wasn’t for this tour he knew he’d be just sitting in a NYADA classroom learning about performing instead of actually doing it. Sure he enjoyed his time at NYADA but this, this was so much better. Once they were done with the rehearsal and Tony saw that everyone did in fact remember their roles after the week off he visibly relaxed.

“Did you really meet you r soul mate Kurt?” Leslie asked, Kurt could see the jealousy in her face, everyone knew she had been searching for her soul mate but still hadn’t found them.

            “I really did.”

“Where’s your ring then?” She asked eyeing his empty left hand.

            “I don’t have a ring.”

            “You got married without rings?”

            “We didn’t get married.”

She looked at him blankly.

“There is no law that says soul mates have to get married the second they meet.”

            “But most of them do.”

“Most of the ones we hear about do but I bet for every five soul mate couples we hear about there is one more that we don’t and who is to say if they get married as soon as they find each other or if they wait a while. We are going to get married one day, we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together, we both know that so why should we rush when we can take our time, get to know each other better before the wedding and just enjoy being together.”

The show went off without a hitch as Kurt knew it would despite the fact the theatre was a lot emptier then most places they went to, he questioned why they even came to this town when the people here either didn’t care about theatre or maybe it was just this particular play that didn’t sit well with them. Either way Kurt was shocked when he left the theatre and there was someone waiting by the stage door.

“Kurt? That’s your name right? Kurt Hummel?” The guy asked double checking the program he clutched in his hand when Kurt walked out.

“Uh, yeah that’s me. Did you enjoy the show?”

“I did! It was…just amazing, and you, god! You were breathtaking!”

“Oh thank you. I’m sorry I didn’t get your name.”

“I’m Adian. I’m your soul mate.”
