Blaine wouldn't allow himself to refer to Kurt as his boyfriend not until it was official because if he got used to referring to Kurt as his boyfriend and then found out that Kurt didn't want to be his boyfriend it would crush him. Blaine flipped his phone over in his hands debating on whether or not he should call Kurt and ask him if he wanted to catch a movie today, it was Sunday and Blaine didn't want to have to wait until tomorrow to see Kurt again but at the same time he wasn't sure if Kurt would want to see him today, it might be a little too much for Kurt since they weren't a couple, Blaine wondered how many dates it took to become a couple, he heard from pop culture that the third date was the sex date but what if he wanted to wait for sex? That was something he knew he really needed to discuss with Kurt soon, he hoped Kurt would think he was a slut or something for not being a virgin but never having a boyfriend. He really wished he hadn't given up his virginity to that sleaze Sebastian but he had honestly thought Sebastian cared about him and it wasn't until afterwards he realised he was just another notch in Sebastian's bedpost.

"Are you going to call him or are you hoping to contact him telepathically?" Cooper asked snapping Blaine back to reality.

"Do you think he wants me to call him?" Blaine asked setting his phone down and staring at it.

"Why wouldn't he? You guys had a good time yesterday, right?"

Blaine nodded.

"He seems like a smart guy which means he has to have noticed how awesome you are, he's probably staring at his phone hoping you'll call."

"I doubt that."

"Oh for fuck's sake." Cooper rolled his eyes before picking Blaine's phone up and finding Kurt's name on his contact list and pressing call next to the photo of Kurt smiling widely at the sea lion exhibit.

"Cooper!"

"It's ringing."

Blaine grabbed the phone from Cooper not wanting Kurt to think he was prank calling him or butt dialed him or something.

"Hey Kurt." Blaine said when Kurt answered his phone.

"Blaine, hi. I was hoping you'd call today...shit ...I don't think I was supposed to admit that."

"I'm glad you did because I wasn't sure if you'd want me to."

"Why wouldn't I?"

"I don't know."

"So we're clear I always want to hear from you."

"Ok, I always want to hear from you too."

"Good, so neither of us will hesitate to call the other, deal?"

"Deal."

"Is there a reason for this call or did you just call to chat?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to watch a movie today? With me I mean."

"Yeah that would be great, there isn't anything I really want to see in the theaters though but maybe we could find something on Netflix or something?"

"That works for me."

"Good, can we do it at your place though? It's Rachel's home and I don't like brining dates around while she's here, it feels mean...ya know? Not that I go on a ton of dates or would bring a lot of guys over anyway but..."

"Kurt, I get what you're saying and of course we can have our movie date here."

"Great, so I'll see in a little bit."

"I look forward to it."

When Kurt arrived Blaine greeted him with a kiss which caused Cooper to let a wolf whistle. Blaine turned and glared at his brother who threw his hands up and promised he was leaving. Once Cooper left Kurt and Blaine settled on the couch and Blaine put on Rent. He really wanted to cuddle with Kurt but he wasn't sure if Kurt would be ok with that so Blaine just sat really close to Kurt hoping that Kurt would take the hint and start to cuddle with him, he didn't notice Kurt shift uncomfortably.

"I don't want to have sex." Kurt blurted out.

Blaine paused the movie and turned to Kurt. "Excuse me?"

"I don't want to have sex...I mean I do at some point but not for a while....I'm a virgin and yeah I don't want to have sex."

"Can I ask what brought this on? I mean I know this is a conversation we needed to have but why now?"

"It's going to sound stupid....it's just it's our third date and we're alone in your apartment...and I figured that maybe you were expecting..."

"I don't want to have sex either. I'm not a virgin but I wish I was."

"Was it...not consensual?" Kurt asked softly.

"What? No it wasn't anything like that it was just a mistake."

Kurt nodded looking relieved.

"I know what it's like to have sex without love and honestly I'm not interested in doing that again. So if we do end up having sex it won't be because we're horny or because we feel that it's expected it will have much deeper meaning than that and it won't be in the middle of the afternoon when Cooper could come back at any minute. No, it will be after an incredibly romantic date that will involve flowers and candlelit dinner and slow dancing and it will be when we both are ready for it."

"What if it takes me a really long time to be ready?"

"I can wait."

"And you'd be ok with that...with waiting?"

"Definitely. Kurt, whatever we do I want you to be comfortable so I can be comfortable."

Kurt breathed a sigh of relief.

"And by the way I'm going to take you on a lot of romantic dates if you'll allow me so I don't want you to think I'm doing it to try and get into your pants, I'm doing it because you are amazing and you deserve romance, ok?"

"Ok." Kurt breathed.

"Good, now can we please cuddle while we watch the movie? I'm somewhat of a cuddle monster."

Kurt laughed and then opened his arms so Blaine could cuddle against his chest, Blaine leaned up and kissed Kurt sweetly before settling in and resuming the movie. Blaine would've liked to have kissed Kurt more but he didn't think starting a make-out session directly after their no sex talk would be overly appropriate. They ended up watching a few more movies and cuddling throughout almost all of them only letting each other go when the Chinese food they ordered arrived and they needed to sit up to eat it. Their goodnight kiss was perfect in Blaine's opinion, as they both slowly explored each other's mouths, relishing in the taste and feel, it may have not been their first kiss, no that happened days ago, but it was the first time they kissed without worrying about if the other thought it was going to lead to sex as they both now knew it wouldn't, not yet anyway.
