"I apologize in advance for Cooper, he's kind of insane." Blaine told Kurt said as the two men sat side by side on the subway heading towards Blaine's apartment.

"Oh...like 'I'm going to murder you' insane?" Kurt said deepening his voice and talking out of the corner of his mouth while doing a stabbing gesture.

"No! Just the kind of insane where he thinks he's really funny."

"Aw, gotcha. Out of curiosity sake why didn't you ask him to test the game with you?"

"He has a tendency to make up his own rules when playing games which wouldn't help me at all."

"No I guess it wouldn't." Kurt laughed. "It must be fun to play with toys all day."

"There's more to it than yet but yeah my job is rather awesome."

"What exactly do you do? I'm sorry if that sounds rude but I'm genuinely curious, like I know you test the toys I make but I don't know how you do it."

"Ok we first thing I do is see if the toy does what it is supposed to do depending on the toy I might do that at my desk but if it is something that might disrupt the rest of the office I go down to the testing room."

"There's a testing room?"

"Yeah, it's on 3rd, that's where I do a lot of my work actually. We have this machine that presses any buttons really quickly and simulates about 5 years of play, which is probably a lot longer than most kids play with their toys, and then we have another one which simulates the toy being stepped on by a child to see if it will break or not. And we also do things like drop the toys and throw them against walls and crash them and after all that if they are still in one piece we see if they still work, and of course we test how fun they are."

"Shit! I never knew you put my poor creations through so much!"

"How do you think we get the information for the reports?"

"I don't know....oh my god! Blainey bear! Did Blainey bear have to go through all that?"

"Teddy bears have less testing usually but I don't think Steve would have done any of that to it, I don't think he did anything really and I know I certainly didn't put Blainey bear through any of that."

"Good. You said you do most of your work in the testing room but you seem to spend a lot of time at your desk."

"Well I usually spend my afternoons in the testing room and the mornings at my desk but if I have to type up reports or if the testing room is already full I'm at my desk or if I don't have anything to test."

"So if I'm looking for you and you aren't at your desk I should go to the 3rd floor?"

"You can always call I forward my calls from my work phone to my cell while I'm testing but yeah you can check the testing room, don't come in without goggles though sometimes pieces break off and I don't want any getting in your eyes."

"Ok."

"This is our stop."

The men walked from the subway stop to Blaine's place with only one stop at his favorite pizzeria since it was on their way Blaine thought it would be silly to call for delivery.

"Coop, we have company." Blaine called out as he walked in the front door. Cooper emerged from his room.

"Hi, you must be Kurt, I'm Cooper, Blaine talks about you a lot."

Blaine blushed and tried to see if it was in fact possible to kill someone with a look.

"Does he now?" Kurt asked.

"He does, like all the time."

"Shut up Cooper." Blaine told his brother before turning to Kurt. "

"Can I speak to you in the kitchen for a sec Blaine?" Cooper asked.

Blaine nodded before falling his brother leaving Kurt alone to look around the living room area noticing a few pictures of Blaine and Cooper from when they were kids, pictures of them with their parents, pictures of friends...and is that Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran?

"Do you need me to go find something to do for the evening?" He heard Cooper asked from the kitchen, Kurt's eyes went wide when he realized he could hear their conversation, he looked around the room for something to block the noise but decided he didn't want to turn on their stereo it might seem rude plus they had like a million remotes and he had no idea which was for what.

"No, why would I?" Blaine asked.

"To give you and Kurt some private time on your date."

"It's not a date."

"Sure it isn't."

"It's not, we're just friends."

Ouch! Kurt thought, he really should know better than getting his hopes up like that. Blaine probably wasn't interested in him at all, sure it seemed like he flirted with Kurt a lot but he was probably just one of those flirty people who didn't even know they were doing it half the time.

"Who are you kidding Blaine? We both know you want him."

Oh, that's interesting.

Blaine mumbled something in reply which Kurt couldn't quite make out. Cooper sighed and Kurt really wondered what Blaine had said.

"Sorry about that, I got some plates for the pizza." Blaine said walking out of the kitchen. "Are you one of those people who eats pizza with a knife and fork?"

Kurt shook his head.

"Yeah me neither." They each helped themselves to a slice of pizza and then Blaine set up the game while Kurt read the directions out.

Kurt went first rolling a four that allowed him to pick up an instruction card. He read it to himself and quirked an eyebrow and then nodding set it down in front of himself.

"What did it say?" Blaine asked.

"It says that all the other players in the game must move back one square before they can move the amount on the dice." Kurt lied.

Blaine nodded taking a bite of his pizza, the men began to really get into the game as it went on, Blaine while enjoying himself was cursing his luck not only did he keep having to move back a space but when he got a create card and had to build a tower out of pieces included in the box the table jiggled causing it to collapse, he didn't want to say anything but he was pretty sure Kurt bumped the table on purpose and there was the time when Blaine got up to go to the bathroom and when he came back his token was a lot farther back on the board then he remembered it being. He didn't want to accuse Kurt of cheating but well he was pretty sure Kurt was cheating.

"Ok. I have a confession to make." Kurt said biting his lip as they packed up the game after his win.

Blaine looked at him questioningly.

"That card I drew right after we started was a sabotage card; it told me I had to do whatever I could to sabotage you."

"Oh thank god! I thought you were cheating!"

"Well I kinda was but the game told me too...so..."

"I was like note to self: don't play games with Kurt he's worse than Cooper."

"Hey!" Cooper called indignantly from the couch.

"I promise I don't normally cheat." Kurt told Blaine.

"Good to know."

"You aren't mad are you?"

"No of course not! You were doing what the game told you to do." Blaine said reaching across the table and putting his hand on Kurt's.

"So, are you going to give this game a good report or a bad one?"

"A good one I think, it's actually a lot of fun but they need to rethink the recommended ages I'd say 10 and up."

Kurt nodded and then looked at his watch. "I should probably go it's getting late."

"Is your place far from here? I never asked."

"No not really, it's about halfway between here and work."

"Oh, ok then. Let me walk you out."

"I'll see you tomorrow." Kurt told Blaine as they stood outside the doorway to Blaine's apartment.

"Definitely. Text me when you get home so I don't worry....you don't have my number."

"Let's fix that shall we?" Kurt asked holding his phone out to Blaine to enter his number in.

After he had done so he leaned in and gave Kurt a tight hug not aware of the mantra of kiss me kiss me kiss me that was going on in Kurt's head. After their hug Kurt left Blaine's apartment building and walked to the subway decidedly unkissed.
