Blaine and Kurt agreed through text messages to meet at the same coffee shop that they had run into each at the other day. Blaine had figured that since the coffee shop was so close to Alex’s apartment he should just have the other boy stop by and pick up the key Blaine just got cut for him.  Blaine got there before Kurt and grabbed the two of them a table, he hoped that Kurt still drank Non-fat mochas ; oh god was that presumptuous to order him one?  Should he just throw it out before Kurt got there? Was Kurt even coming? Maybe he changed his mind. No, that’s stupid Kurt was the one who asked him for coffee of course he was going to show.

                “Hi Blaine.”

“Hi Kurt, I got you a non-fact mocha. Is that ok? I mean I don’t even know if you still like them. Maybe you hate them now. I’m sorry; I can get you something else.”

                “Blaine, you’re rambling.”

                “Sorry.”

“Yes I still drink non-fat mochas, thank you for buying me one.”

Blaine took a deep breath.

“I realised that we didn’t talk much about you last time Kurt, are you still at Vogue.com?”

“I am and I still love it. But I’m only part time there right now what with school and all.”

                “NAYDA?”

“No, I mean I did reapply but I tuned them down…”

                “Me too!”

Kurt raised his eyebrow in question.

“Sorry, I shouldn’t have interrupted you but I turned them down too.”

Kurt laughed.

“Thousands of people would kill to get in there and we turned them down.”

“We never have done things the way most people do.”

“No we haven’t.” They clinked their coffee cups in a toast.

“Where do you go to school then?”

                “Parsons.”

Blaine happily bounced in his seat, “That is so perfect!”

                “Thanks, I think so.”

Blaine saw Alex enter the coffee shop and gave him a little wave.

“Hey Blaine, do you have my key?”

“Yeah, so there’s actually two, this one is for the building and this is for the apartment.”

“Cool, see you at home.” Alex said kissing Blaine’s cheek.

                “You’re moving in today?”

                “Yeah, is that ok?”

“Of course…do you need a hand?’

“Nah, I really don’t have that much stuff.”

“Ok. I’ll see you later then.”

Kurt who was looking extremely uncomfortable through the whole exchange suddenly spoke up.

                “He’s moving in with you.”

Blaine nodded.

                “Oh, that’s great.”

“Do you and Rachel still have that loft?”

                “Uh, yeah we do.”

                “Good, that place is awesome.”

“It is, where are you living?”

“Oh, I have this place near campus that my parents bought me.”

“Your parents bought you a place?”

“Yeah apparently psychology is a respectable enough major that they decided to buy me an apartment & pay for my education.”

                “Wow, that’s really great.”

Blaine nodded clearly proud.

                “Wait, isn’t NYU across town?

                “Yeah.”

“Why didn’t you say something? We could’ve met somewhere more central!”

                “It’s fine, it’s close to Alex’s place…or old place I guess.”

“Oh, I think I should probably go.”

“Really? I feel like you just got here.”

                “Uh…yeah I have homework and you’ve got studying and….Alex.”

Before Blaine could say anything else Kurt was gone. He had no idea why Kurt had run out so fast but he figured since he did he might as well see if Alex had changed his mind about needing a hand. It turned out that he really didn’t as he began packing his stuff as soon as Blaine asked him to be his roommate; he had really wanted to move out of his old place.
