Meet Kurt Hummel.

Kurt was a 24-year-old young man with many jobs. He had plenty on his plate: he delivered food, he taught karate for children, he worked as a waiter – basically he took up every possible job. Why was that? He had the responsibility to take care of his step-mother, Carol and his sister, Quinn. After his father, Burt had died, it was just the three of them and as Kurt was the oldest, he had felt inclined to become the breadwinner of the family.

Carol worked as a nurse so they could mostly make ends meet with the help of the money Kurt would earn. Quinn was still in her last year of high school and Kurt wouldn’t let her drop out and she wanted to be a rock star, so she needed some extra music lessons too. She was a pretty, feminine girl with long, blonde hair and big brown eyes. She often called Kurt for help when she was being pursued by annoying guys.

Kurt was gay and he had known that since he was 7. His family was fine with it – and it wasn’t like he had time to chase boys anyways. His schedule was always busy, and he had Quinn and Carole to look after. He loved everything about fashion but neither did he have the time nor the money to go shopping or look at magazines. He was tall, slim and strong – it was mostly because of the insane hours he worked and the karate sessions. He had brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. He was friendly and helpful with those around him.

Meet Blaine Anderson.

Blaine was a charming man who had always had his way around women. A stunning smile here and there and he had always got what he wanted. He tried to always be polite and respectful but sometimes he seemed a bit harsh – that is, when women were throwing themselves at him left and right. His grandmother wanted him to stop playing around and marry a nice girl but he was doing everything in his power to make her give up on this ridiculous idea but finally he agreed going on a date with one of the girls to appraise her. He has a soft spot for one girl, named Brittany Pierce who used to date Blaine’s cousin, Artie.

As for Blaine’s other relatives, his mother was a tender but rather quiet woman who loved her very much. She always supported her but lately she had started to agree with Blaine’s grandmother about Blaine’s future. He needed to get married quickly and be a respectable man. Respect was an important issue as Blaine’s father was the owner of a food company. He had always been a bit distant person and he would rarely show emotions. He didn’t talk to Blaine much for some unknown reason and Blaine stopped looking for praise from him a long time ago. Their relationship is like cold war – they tend to avoid any chances of communication.

End Notes: The story is based on the Korean drama, called "Coffee Prince". I only intend use the first half of the series - if you are familiar with the story, you should understand why.
