Blaine gave a small chuckle: "Why so surprised to see me, Jeff? Wes, David, Nick, Sebastian", he gave small nodds to the guys, the later smirking back at him.
"Well, you haven't shown up for at least two months", the blond teen frowned. It was true. Since they transferred to the school at the end of summer, they were always meeting up in the library in their free hour, that they luckily had together, as it was a good place to hang out with no one around - and one day Blaine had just stopped bothering to come.
"I'm here now, ain't I?", the curly-haired teen snapped, brushing past his friend.
"I guess", Jeff sighed, falling back into the chair, he had jumped up from, when he saw the familiar face at the entrance.
Blaine made a move not to sit next to Sebastian, who was watching him with hungry eyes and ended up squeezing himself between Wes and David.
The former threw an arm around his shoulder: "Good to see you, Blainers."
"Fuck you, Wes", Blaine scoffed at the asian boy, but didn't push him away.
"Yes, still the same old Blaine, we all love", Nick rolled his eyes from across the table.
"What should have changed me?", Blaine asked smirking, as he leaned back into the soft cushion of the couch, making Wes retreat his arm, so there wasn't the danger for it to get crushed.
There was only an awkward silence following the question, the boys strictly keeping themselves from looking into the other teen's now glaring eyes. "What?", Blaine snarled at them.
"You know", Nick startet, looking around his friends for help, but they were not daring to make eye contact with anybody, "we really missed you."
"Thanks... I think", the short teen answered, his brows furrowed.
"So, what brought you here?", Wes smiled slightly, trying to lighten up the mood.
Blaine noticed then, that he actually didn't know, what made him come here. Sure, his friends were there, but this fact didn't convince him for the last two month. Also, he really wasn't so happy about hanging out with Sebastian more than necessary (what meant, when he needed to get off and hadn't the energy for finding someone else), but this problem existet for way longer. He just had the feeling, that this, meeting his old friends, was the right thing to do. His brain immediately told him, that it had something to do with his new friendship with a special blue-eyed boy, but he pushed the thought away quickly. Only because Blaine was allowing himself to build a friendship with this guy, didn't mean, that he would turn into someone nice and dapper now. He only came hanging out here to have some kind of entertainment, since Santana had lessons, that she didn't want to ditch for some reason and he smoked his last cigarette earlier this morning.
"You're better than the cheerleaders", Blaine only statet, letting his eyes roam pointedly over Jeff from head to toe, who shook his head with a laugh: "I bet, we are!"
They didn't even bother with him, anymore. Blaine was really open with everything concerning sexuality, but he also knew, that his friends were straight, so he only acted as he was being interested in them for fun. That's, what friends do. No harm and that was the reason, why Blaine remained with his friends. No matter, what shit he put them through or ignored them for two month, they still always held a door open for him to come in.
"So, you're befriending Kurt", Nick wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, looking absolutely ridiculous, while doing it.
Blaine snorted: "He has a nice ass. That's all." God, damn it. Why did things like this always leave his mouth, before he could think about them. But he also couldn't take it back. He would look like an idiot and like he gone soft. Maybe he was okay with being a someway decent human being for Kurt, but no one had to know about it.
Nick's face fell at the words, while Sebastian had a hard time, hiding a grin.
"Blaine, don't do this at this school, especially not with people we're friends with", Nick begged.
"I don't see, how this is your fucking problem", Blaine scoffed, getting angrier every moment. Why felt everyone the need to tell him, that, what he was doing was wrong? Couldn't he make decisions for himself?
"We like him and it would be pretty awkward, if we couldn't hang out with both of you, because you wanted some fun", Nick answered carefully, as waiting for Blaine to freak out any moment.
But said boy only clenched his fists and stood up. "Than maybe, we should stop hanging out!", he told them in a quiet, angry voice and muttered something about stupid ideas to himself.
With that he was out the door, wandering aimlessly through the hallways again, until he landed at his car at some point. He didn't want to go home, though, so he sat down inside it, turning up the heater and settling himself tightly wrapped in his jacket, so that he could take a short nap.
When he got woken up by students emerging from the school building only some time later, he looked at his phone and was somehow disappointed to see, that he didn't get any new messages.
As a result of this, he set up one by himself:
Meet me in the Lima Bean after Glee? - Blaine
He knew Kurt would take up Glee, as he was talking about music half of the time, they had spent together and Rachel and Mercedes already had him under their wings.
His fingers hovered over the send button for a couple of minutes in doubt, if this was the right idea. Would he annoy Kurt, if he wanted to meet two days in a row? Probably.
Also, there were so many people in the New Directions, that would fit Kurt way better as friends than Blaine and surely he wanted to hang out with them for today. In addition, Blaine still had some stuff to do.
Maybe he should just wait until the next day to approach him. He didn't want to mess this up by being too clingy. Hell, why did he even care? He knew why, but it was still hard for him to admit it to himself.
Finally, he shoved his phone back into the pocket of his leather jacket, the text still unsend, and sped off the parking lot.
*****
From Kurt:
Glee was amazing! They loved my audition btw
Blaine smiled, when he received the text, while laying on his bed and for the first time in months actually trying to do some of his homework.
From Blaine:
I told you, they would :D
Blaine noticed, that the emoticon wasn't like him at all, but also didn't bother to remove it, as he knew, that Kurt liked it. It wasn't like Kurt had him whipped or something, he told himself, he only for once tried to be a decent human being for this guy. Nothing less and nothing more.
And he would try, he had promised himself. He gave himself one last shot at making a friend and if it wouldn't work out, that was it, but he had to try. To have that way of thinking was actually a huge step for him, as he didn't give a fuck about anybody in the last years. Okay, he kind of cared about some of his friends, but not anymore since...
He didn't even want to spend another second thinking about it. He rather thought about Kurt, who had mesmorized him the first second, he had laid eyes on him. First Blaine wanted to treat him like everyone else, who his eyes enjoyed, but he couldn't bring himself to do so, when the time had come.
Kurt was the only reason, why he was trying. He knew, that he needed to keep Kurt.
*****
From Blaine:
I told you, they would :D
Kurt smiled fondly at the text message, while he was cuddled into the sheets, that Carole had washed with her fabric softener, that smelled like the red velvet cupcakes, Kurt sometimes baked, when he felt like it.
From Kurt:
And again, you were right :)
He quickly typed out his reply and hit send, while Carole yelled for him to join them at dinner.
Everyone was beaming in his direction, happy about the fact, that today there wasn't a drama preventing him from eating. Everyone, except Finn, who was kinda glaring in his direction, to which Kurt only raised his eyebrows at him.
"So, how was your day, honey?", Carole asked, while putting some food on Kurt's plate.
"Wonderful", Kurt beamed and poured sauce over the meat. Today he didn't really care about his strict diet rules, as he was too happy to obey them.
Finn snorted: "I bet, it was!"
Kurt gave the tall teen a bewildered expression: "What's that supposed to mean, Finn?"
"I mean", Finn laid down his fork, "that I find it really strange, that you're just giving yourself to Anderson."
"What are you even talking about Finn?", Kurt frowned, "Blaine apologized and was nothing, but nice to me ever since. There is nothing as giving myself to anybody. Or are you giving yourself to Puck everytime you talk to him?"
"What?", Finn looked at him like Kurt just told him for the first time, that Santa wasn't real, "No, of course not."
"See", Kurt said, while making a gesture to emphasize his point.
"Yeah, but I'm not m-moaning for him", Finn stuttered out with a deep red blush forming on his cheeks.
Now not only Kurt, but also Burt and Carole, who had watched the word exchange in silence before, gave Finn shocked looks.
"Excuse me?", Burt was the first to speak, looking between the two teenagers.
"I have no idea", Kurt statet, while raising his hands in a gesture of innocence.
"Blaine said, that you did, when..,", Finn started, but got quickly interrupted by the other boy: "And since when do you listen to something Blaine says?"
Kurt felt anger rising in him. Did Finn tell the truth? From how he knew the other teen, Finn wasn't exactly the smartest, but wouldn't lie to him.
"I thought, you were like friends now. Why do you...?" They never got to the end of the question, as Finn stopped, when he felt Kurt's glare burn into his skull.
"I don't even know", Kurt told them tired, before he stood up and left the room.
Burt put a hand over his eyes. "When I decided to move to Ohio, I didn't expect all that drama", he sighed, while Carole rubbed a hand over his back.
*****
The next morning, Santana was already leaning against his locker, when Kurt aproached it.
"Morning, Santana", he gave her a little, sweet smile, which she surprisingly returned, before he began struggling with the lock, like every morning.
"You have to turn it shortly left, before you do anything. Some of this lockers are seriously jinxed", another familiar voice spoke from Kurt's other side.
But this voice made him want to punch stuff. So, after he used the other boy's tip, he swiftly grabbed his books and walked off to his next classroom, not sparing Blaine one glance.
Santana seemed pretty confused, as she exchanged a look with Blaine, who raised a questioning eyebrow at her, but all she could do was shrug, so the two of them quickly hurried after the other boy.
"What's wrong?", Blaine asked concerned, grapping his friend's arm.
Kurt immediately shook him away: "Just fuck off, Anderson!"
"Excuse me?", Blaine said incredulously, stopping death in his track, Santana copying his action in shock.
Kurt stopped a few feet in front of them, turning around to fix the smaller teen with an angry glare: "As if you wouldn't know."
"Can I ask what's wrong?", Santana threw in.
"Yeah, Kurt, what's up with you?", Blaine questioned, bis brows furrowed in confusion.
Kurt took a few steps in the other teen's direction, an acusing finger pointed to Blaine's chest: "I'm not your whore!"
Blaine's eyes widened at the statement: "I never said, that you were. What happened, that you're so crazy? Did you got your period early or something?"
Smack. Everyone, that was wandering the halls, suddenly stopped moving and turned around to the scenery, where Blaine was holding his cheek and Santana was fuming in front of him: "Don't you dare talk with him like that!"
"God, Santana! I didn't know, you had such a hard slap", Blaine told them in an oddly calm voice, considering, that he just got attacked by his seemingly best friend.
"We talked about this and you didn't care about, what we agreed on, so...", Santana said angry, while pointedly looking at her nails, as if the slapping had damaged them.
"I don't even have an idea, what this is all about", Blaine exclaimed.
"Maybe you should ask Finn", Kurt snapped, before turning on his heels and rushing to the gym, where the other boys from Glee would hopefully wait and distract him from the other boy.
He felt a little smile tug at his lip. No, he wasn't going to be happy about an act of violence, but he kind of was. He could never bring himself to harm anybody, no matter, how furious he was. So, he was really glad, that Santana overtook this part, as there was no way, that Blaine would seek revenge. But maybe the other boy would now know, that you can't just play with people, as if they were cheap toys.
*****
"What the fuck did you tell him?", Blaine growled, while fixing a startled Finn against the wall, before said boy could enter the gym. He was in horrible rage about everything this morning. He had gotten along so good with Kurt yesterday, but of course, someone had to take that away from him. Always someone tried to make him unhappy and he didn't want to just let them.
Finn pushed him off, looking panicked, as they now were the only ones still in the locker room and even if Blaine wasn't excactly the tallest, he was still intimidating.
"Who?", Finn asked confused, as if he didn't know, what Blaine was talking about.
"Don't act dumb. Kurt, of course", Blaine clarified for the case, that Finn really didn't know, what was going on, "so, what did you say?"
"Only, what you told me yesterday", Finn snapped back, "so don't blame me for, that he's mad at you."
With a loud shattering, Blaine angrily punched one of the lockers, so he wouldn't hurt Finn, as that wouldn't help him with anything. After all, Kurt wouldn't like him to punch his quasi brother and the reason, why this all affected Blaine so much was, that he had to set this right with Kurt. And further, he really didn't feel like spending his afternoons in detention.
*****
In gym class Blaine constantly tried to talk to Kurt, who seemed to try anything to prevent that from happening. For starters, he paired up with Puck, who immediately figured out the reason, why Kurt didn't choose Blaine as his partner and send angry glares in the curly haired boy's direction.
"Kurt, please", Blaine begged, when they were standing next to each other in line for the basketballs, but Kurt only ignored him.
"Can we at least talk about it?", Blaine asked. He felt wierd, begging someone like that, but he knew, that it wouldn't let him go, if he didn't do it now.
"What is there to talk about? Do you want to tell me, that Finn lied?", Kurt finally said, while Puck kept an eye on the conversation from beside the pair.
"No, but...", Blaine sighed.
"See", Kurt interrupted, "I really thought, that you were honest about wanting to be my friend and yet again, I had to learn, that this isn't your ulterior move and it makes me sad and I don't want to be sad, so please stay away from me."
Blaine gulped at the tearily expression, the boy was wearing and spoke again in a now softer voice: "I know, that I say stupid stuff, but you have to believe me, that I don't intend to say something like that. It's just my brain, that's working on short-circuit."
"Believe him", Puck suddenly suggested out of the blue, "he tells the truth."
Kurt looked at Puck in shock, as he had nearly forgotten, that the teen was standing there and he certainly didn't expect him to interfere, let alone defend Blaine.
Blaine gave the teen with the mohawk a short thankful nod, but then looked back to Kurt with big eyes, that he knew, had convinced his mom, when he was younger, to do anything for him,
"Whatever", Kurt sighed and grapped a basketball, before walking away and throwing a look back at Puck: "Are you coming?"
"Wait", Blaine yelled, "are we alright again?"
"Sure", Kurt rolled his eyes and made Blaine do a victory dance, while Finn send him an angry glare from across the gym.
*****
"Really, I don't get you guys", Santana exclaimed, while sitting her tablet of food down onto the cafeteria table, only Kurt and Blaine currently shared.
"Yeah, me neither", Blaine laughed and send Kurt a flirty wink, who rolled his eyes at the other boy.
Santana smirked from across the table: "So, are you guys something like fuck buddies now?"
Kurt spluttered and nearly choked on his food, while Blaine padded his back and made clear: "I didn't tell her, that we were. I swear."
Blaine tried to send the latina an unsaid message for her to shut up, but wether or not she has seen it, of course, she wouldn't do it: "What then? Do you want to tell me, that the Blaine Anderson got himself a boyfriend?"
"No", Blaine clarified immediately, "as I already told you, I just want to be friends with Kurt."
The boys exchanged a smile, while Santana rolled her eyes: "Isn't this cute?"
"Shut up, Satan", Blaine told her, but couldn't keep the grin of his face.
"So", Kurt started nervously in Blaine's direction, "are you free this afternoon?"
"Don't know, why I shouldn't be. What do you want to do?", Blaine asked back with a smile.
"You can decide", Kurt smiled, reliefed, that the other boy seemed to enjoy the idea of them spending an afternoon together.
"I'll think of something. Just meet me, when your classes are over in front of the school", Blaine suggestet, to which Kurt agreed.
*****
The whole day Kurt was on cloud nine with an extra pep in his step and he even didn't really care about the awful sweater, Rachel wore, when she told him about a duet, she wanted to sing for years, but never had a partner with the perfect vocal range before.
So, when he walked down the hallway that afternoon, he certainly didn't expect the ice, that suddenly hit his face, while a voice laughed: "Did you miss me yesterday?"
Kurt tried to blink the red fluid away, when he felt thin hands pushing him forwards. He only oblight, because he wasn't in the state to argue and he didn't think, that the hands, that definitly belonged to a girl, could do him any harm.
"Oh god", he heard Quinn saying, "who do they think, they are, that they can just do that? I'm so sorry, that you have to stand these guys."
"It's not your fault", Kurt answered, his eyes finally free enough from ice, so he was able to make out the blond cheerleader.
She sighed: "Just sit down and let me wash it out."
With that she pulled a chair from one corner and Kurt let his bag fall to the ground and plopped down on it. He leaned his head back, so she could let the warm water travel over his hair and erase the stinging cold. She did a good job at relaxing him with her hands massaging his scalp and a light humming on her lips, as if she knew exactly, what to do in this situation.
It wasn't long, until he was slushie-free from his neck up and he could additionaly wind out of his jacket, that had thankfully catched most of the red liquid. Kurt grumbled a little at the loss of one of his clothing pieces, but luckily it wasn't his favorite, either. At least, it had protected his Alexander McQueen dress shirt. The shirt was a little wet and there were some small stains, but nothing a couple of hand-washs wouldn't get out.
Quinn and Kurt said goodbye to each other long after most people were already home, with Quinn vanishing in the direction of the football field, as Coach Sylvester, who was a bitch, considering, what Kurt had already heard of her, had ordered an extra cheer practise and Kurt made his way to the cars and to the hidden corner in hope, that Blaine was still waiting.
Kurt didn't got disappointed, as he spottet the smaller teen leaning against his car with his eyes closed and a cigarette hanging from his lips. Blaine took a deep breath, before his eyes shot open at the approaching steps. A lazy smile formed on his lips: "Hello, Mister. I already thought, you forgot about me."
But when Kurt came nearer, Blaine's face fell and he frowned: "Why is your hair wet?"
"The paper towels were empty", Kurt answered simply, giving a disapproving look to the smoke, that was exhaled by Blaine every other second.
Blaine shook his head with a small laugh, that didn't completely reach his eyes: "And why did you need them in the first place?"
"Quinn washed my hair", Kurt responded, already annoyed from the interrogation, as all he wanted was to get distractet from it.
"So you just decided, that it would be a nice idea to wash your hair in school without any towels or stuff, 'cause - I don't know - you like to do senseless stuff?"
"No", Kurt told him in a quiet voice, his eyes fixed on one of the trees.
"Then please, Kurt", Blaine begged, "tell me, what is wrong."
Kurr mumble somthing inaudible, until Blaine asked him to repeat it and Kurt said: "Someone threw a slushie at me. I think, it was Karofsky..."
Blaine clenched his fists, while muttering: "I'm going to kill that idiot!" He then turned around to the blue eyed boy, the worry clear in his eyes: "Should I better bring you home?"
"No", Kurt immediately interfered, "do you know, how hard it was to convince my dad, that the cut from Monday was nothing serious and I got it myself? I don't want him to know about this stuff!"
"Why?", Blaine frowned, while shoving his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket.
"I can see, how he is already stressed out enough, because of Finn and my arguing. I don't want to add another thing to the list of problems", Kurt told the other teen, while hoping, that Blaine would understand.
The honey eyed boy seemed to be in a battle with himself for a few moments, before he let his shoulders slump, while closing his eyes. When he opened them again, there was a tired look on his face, as if he had just fight in 30 years of war in the last 20 seconds and all the world's worries were on his shoulders. Finally, Blaine swiped a hand over his face and sighed: "You... can come home with me then, I guess."

Great story! From a grammar stand point, just remember that subordinate clauses don't have commas before them and some of the idioms you're using are a bit mixed up. But other than that, I love your ideas, and I look forward to your next update!
Thank you for your review! I'm still in school and english is not my first language (I learn most through reading), so I still easily mess stuff up. I definitly need a beta at some point or the other :D

Thank you, thank ypu : D I also love Kurt or Blaine rather n a friendship with Santana or Quinn (always end up writing this) and I am currently working on going through all the chapters and correcting them. I hope one day I am able to know all the grammar rules and stuff :) and yes it was planned to be 20something... Again thank you for your response:)
I absolutely loved this chapter. I almost cheered when Santana slapped Blaine because it just showed that she cared for Kurt and wasn't going to let anyone, even if it was her best friend, say anything about Kurt. I also liked that Puck is protective of Kurt and stepped in to assure Kurt that Blaine was telling the truth. I look forward to learning about Blaine's home life in the next chapter and I hope you are having a good New Year so far.
