He had to remind himself, that all he was looking out for was friendship and that was, why he slowed down. Also, it would look pretty stupid, if he would just ran out of school like he was crazy.
Turned out, it was a bad idea, to hang around in the hallway only a second longer, as broad hands grabbed his shoulders and threw him into the nearest row of lockers, the side of his face crashing against the sharp metal.
He closed his eyes, as he crumbled to the floor and pressed his palm against his slightly wet cheek. A few people snickered and whispered, but he couldn't understand, what they were saying.
He had the urge to get up and scream at the people, who did this to him, make some bitchy remarks about how they're going to burn in this hellhole forever, when he was going to make it big someday, but resisted it.
Instead he got up, tightly clatching his satchel and heading to the front doors, sparing not one more look for the bullies.
It wasn't until he was outside, that he was able to take calming breaths, while swiftly walking to Finn's car, that was parking nearly at the end of the parking lot, due to the fact, that they were one of the last to arrive this morning.
He then got reminded of his previous plans for the afternoon, before his brain decided on short-circuit, that he wanted to get home as fast as possible and cuddle up in his bed with ice cream and a movie.
However, Blaine was already leaning against the old mustang and his new plans were foiled, not that he minded that much. The other teen was frowning, when he approached: "What happened?"
"What?", Kurt tried sounding innocent. Was he that obviously a sobbing mess as he felt inside. As he always felt, when someone was physically attacking him. The glares and words were one thing, but the other stuff was demanding from him to feel it. He couldn't ignore it with the walls, he build around him through his life, when he got hit or shoved into something. He always pulled on a strong face, telling people he was fine, but only his movie watching and junk food eating history could really tell you, how much it got to him.
Instead of an answer, Blaine reached forward, his hand gently cupping Kurt's face and his thumb stroking over the skin, where it collided with the lockers. Kurt hissed in pain, as the other boy moved over the cut, that had damaged his cheek.
"Who was it?", Blaine asked through gritted teath, making Kurt flinch slightly at his angry and demanding tone.
"I-I don't know", Kurt sighed exhausted, "I just tried to get away from there."
"Do you want to go home or are you still up for coffee?", the smaller boy spoke softly, after taking in heavy breath for a short time.
"Coffee is fine." Even if going out into a public place didn't feel like the perfect thing right now, it was still better, than trying to explain to his dad, why his face was bruised and cut and on the other hand, he really wanted to drink coffee with Blaine.
Said boy licked his lips in thought for a second, before deciding on a thing and taking Kurt's hand: "Let's take my car."
Kurt only nodded, an exciting heat forming in his stomach from the touch, and let himself get dragged across the space to a less visible part of the parking lot. He frowned, when they stopped in front of a highly luxurious automobile: "You're not really trying to sell me, that this is yours."
"No, Hummel, I stole it", the boy rolled his eyes, to which Kurt furrowed his brows."Oh my god, you actually believe this?", he exclaimed next, mocking a hurt expression.
Kurt chuckled: "Why not? I mean, you're totally the type. Don't you think?" He gestured to the leather jacket, the boy was wearing over a tight white shirt. If one thing, the guy knew how to dress himself to make everyone swoon over him.
"Just get in the car", Blaine responded annoyed, but couldn't keep the grin of his face.
"Really? I don't know, if I want to get into a stolen car with you", the taller teen joked, playfully crossing his arms.
"Kurt, please", Blaine whined, making Kurt's heart jump into his troat, beating like a madman. To this Kurt couldn't not obey, so he opened the passenger door and climbed into one of the leather seats.
They both kept quiet through the drive, occasionally humming along to the radio, when a song, they liked, came up. When they turned into the parking lot of the Lima Bean, Blaine looked over at Kurt: "I'm sorry, that I can't give you something better than the town's most used coffee shop."
Kurt wanted to yell out loud, that only taking him out for coffee at all and being nice to him, was enough, but figured, that that might come off as strange to the other boy.
"I'm new in town. That means, you can show me all the popular places and tell me they're secret spots, only insiders know about", he winked instead with courage bubbling in his chest.
Blaine laughed: "Not, when half of the school is there."
Kurt stiffened at the thought. Half of the school probably included jocks and jocks meant trouble for him. Mentally panicking, after what happened shortly before, his fingers digged deep into his tighs, until another hand pulled them away: "Hey, don't worry! I'm here."
When he looked up, he was met by a reassuring smile, that didn't completely fit the badboy attire, but it made him feel better and kind of safe, so he smiled back: "Okay."
Blaine swiftly moved around the hood of the car to open the door for his passenger, to which Kurt chuckled: "I'm impressed."
The other teen snorted: "Don't get used to it, baby!"
Kurt only rolled his eyes at his companion and startet walking to the front doors of the shop, Blaine quickly moving to take the place on his right side.
After ordering their coffees with the barista sending curious glance between the two of them, they settled down on one of the tables in the back, so they were seperated from an annoyingly giggling group of girls.
Blaine mustered the teen opposite of him for a moment, until he smirked: "So, what brings someone like you to a town like Lima, Ohio?"
Kurt blushed at the way the words were said. "My dad's found love, so we moved."
The curly-haired boy frowned for a second, but then shrugged: "Cool, I guess!"
"Yeah, Carole is pretty awesome", Kurt statet, nodding, but then a thought popped up in his head, "why did you wait at the mustang for me?"
The other boy shrugged, again: "I saw you arriving in it this morning. What do you have to do with Finn, anyways?" He looked up through his dark eyelashes,so that Kurt had to look down to not be caught gaping.
"Carole's his mom. So, practically he is my step-brother, now, even if our parents aren't married. But I think that's only a matter of time", he smiled, while picking on his coffee cup.
Blaine only nodded with a blank expression, deep in thought: "Hey, I'm sorry, but I think I need to get home."
"What? We've been here for barely 10 minutes", Kurt's heart stopped in his chest, tears welling up behind his eyes. Was he really that awful, that the other teen couldn't even spend an half hour with him?
"I'm really sorry, Kurt", Blaine mumbled, while his eyes travelled through the room, clearly avoiding to look at said boy.
"It's okay", Kurt tried to smile it away and got up, "I wanted to help Carole with dinner, anyway, so it's for the best."
Blaine didn't miss to notice the hurt in his new friend's (probably not anymore by now) eyes and that his words meant more, than just the moment and it left an unusual stinging in his stomach.
Next thing he knew, was Kurt hecticly storming out of he shop, not daring to look over his shoulder once more and leavingBlaine to hit his head against the table, repeatedly.
Shit. That wasn't, what he intended to happen. But what could he do, when this boy was all perfect and cute in front of him with his beautiful, bluer than blue eyes and this angelic laugh of his? He didn't know, what was going through his head, when he invited the other boy to coffee. This wasn't, what Blaine Anderson did, he always found guys to fuck and then left them behind. He didn't need the attachment to another person, but he also knew, that there was no chance, that he could stay away from Kurt Hummel. Maybe he just needed to get into the other boy's pants and this stupid - no, it wasn't a crush, because Blaine had no crushes- would be over.
*****
Kurt slammed the front door shot with a loud bang and rushed straight to his room, not paying any attention to his dad, who tried to ask him, what stung him the wrong way.
He instantly threw himself into the pillows on his bed, letting the tears finally fall. He never felt that worseless before, what was strange, because he got told everyday, how much everyone hates him. But he really thought, Blaine liked him and in some strange way, he had hoped for him to like him in a different way, too, even if he had told himself to keep this thing a friendship.
Turned out, there wasn't even a thing, that he had to care about staying a friendship. He was so stupid to believe, that someone like Blaine could actually like him. He still was the most gorgeous boy, Kurt had ever seen. He couldn't even care at this moment to feel guilty for Gavin, whose picture was still grinning at him from his nightstand.
He sighed, feeling utterly confused. He hadn't wanted this, when he came here. He had wanted to make his dad happy and finish school as fast as possible, so he could move to New York, the city of all of his dreams. Okay, not all, since the last night.
And like this, he was back to his actual problem. His obsession with the resident badass, who was totally nice to him, until Kurt found a way to blow all his chances. He didn't know, what he did, but there must have been something to make the other boy tell him an obvious lie, so he could leave.
There was no need to deny it anymore, that his interest in the teen wasn't purely platonic, judging by how much he was hurting. Not, that it would matter, since Blaine was probably going to ignore him for the rest of the school year and maybe tell everyone the reason, why he suddenly didn't want to hang out with him and the others wouldn't want to spend time with him, either, until he was able to leave this town.
He didn't expect his senior year in Lima to be something overly amazing, since he was still gay and this was still Ohio, but he had hoped for it to pass by as fast as possible. As almost always, Kurt wasn't the one to get lucky and he had to deal with this whole mess, that he had caused in some way. Considering, that he arrived not even two days ago, that was something, he could call achievement.
****
The next morning he woke up with a hurting stomach and really bad breath, based on the fact, that he fell asleep without bothering to eat or get ready.
He stood up and inspected himself in the bathroom mirror. His eyes were red and puffy from the crying and his skin a little dry, so he had to do his best to save, what was to save and use some concealer to cover the hints of his emotional state.
He wouldn't even have dared to go up and face his family, if it weren't for the growling in his tummy.
Obviously, they didn't expect him, either, as they were all looking at him in surprise, when he flopped down on of the chairs.
"Everything alright, kiddo?", his dad asked concerned, "anyone giving you a hard time?" His dad knew, that he got bullied in his old school, but it got better after they went to the principal. Still, his dad always freaked out, when he heard, that something was going on and Kurt didn't want him to have another heart attack, so he shook his head no.
"Don't lie to me, Kurt. Is it that Sebastian kid?", the man frowned at his son, who wasn't willing to look up from where he picked his cardigan.
"No, dad, I didn't even see him yesterday", the teen answered truthfully.
"What about this Blaine?", Burt asked further, trying to read the boy's face.
Kurt only swallowed at this, willing the lump in his throat to go away, but failing miserably, as he couldn't answer the question.
Now Finn's attention was attracted: "What did he do to you? He seemed so... nice at lunch. Nothing like Blaine."
"Finn, it's nothing", Kurt sighed, silently pleading with the others to end this conversation.
Thankfully, Carole got the hint and ushered the men away to get ready, keeping Kurt with her: "So, do you like this Blaine?"
He looked up at her in shock. How did she know? And would she tell his dad? Because Burt still was in the believe, that Blaine was an idiot and would totally judge Kurt's senses.
"Don't worry, honey. This will stay between us, if you're willing to tell me", she gave him a warm smile, which he returned, being reliefed to have a woman to talk to in his life.
"I don't know. I feel strangly attracted to him, even if I know, that I shouldn't", Kurt mumbled, hiding his reddening face in his hands.
"Why so?", the woman asked with honest curiosity.
"He's so... different from all the guys, I had crushes on before. He's got this whole badboy image down", Kurt sighed, getting lost in the thought of the other teen.
Carole chuckled: "And what exactly is the problem? From what I heard, he is very gay and he didn't seem that bad."
The boy frowned: "How do you know him?"
"He used to be friends with Finn - was over at our house for a couple of times last school year."
"Why used to?"
"I didn't see him around anymore for a while now. Makes me wonder, what happened, but Finn doesn't know, either. But you still didn't tell me the problem and why you locked yourself in your room yesterday", she took his hand in her own and gave it a squeeze.
"Can we talk about this later? I don't feel like re-living the thing right now", he told her in an exhausted voice. "It's nothing bad, I swear. At least, not in breaking the law bad", he added quickly, when she gave him a worried look.
"Okay, honey, but I'm always here for you", she said sympatically.
"Thank you, Carole. I really appreciate it."

On the drive to school, Finn pushed further to get Kurt to spill, what Blaine had done, but the older boy only shrugged him off.
They parted ways at the entrance, as a result of the school having different time tables for day A and day B and Kurt starting this day with his English course. He only succeeded in being caught on his way by Santana, the teacher apparently missing again.
The latina smirked at him, while locking her arm under his and giding him to the gym and under the bleachers, where a couple of other cheerleaders were chilling.
They didn't actually pay attention to the approaching pair and resumed snickering over the latest gossip, that was a girl named Stacey being dumped by her "super-hot" boyfriend, who was now single and the females seemed pretty eager to change that.
Kurt only rolled his eyes at them, settling down beside his friend and waiting expectantly for her to start talking.
It wasn't long, until she did excactly that: "So, ladylips, how was your date with Anderson?"
Kurt had to cough, nearly choking on the water, he was previously trying to drink, as he didn't expect Santana to know of this. But considering it, he should have known, based on the fact, that the latina was friends with Blaine and the other boy probably couldn't wait to tell her the embarassing story. Kurt wondered, why she was still here with him and figured it was, so she could make some more fun of him in his present.
"I'm waiting, Hummel", Santana grinned.
"As if you wouldn't know", Kurt answered bitterly.
"Woah, what happened between you and the ewok, that leaves you so grumpy?", she scrunched her face.
Kurt gave her a confused look. Why should Blaine keep her uninformed about this? They probably haven't met, yet, what ment, that he still had time for damage control: "I honestly have no idea, He told me, that he had to go, but it was obvious, that he wasn't telling the truth."
Santana frowned at him, her eyebrows knitted together in confusion: "What the hell? It thought he was eager to get you."
"Obviously not or he wouldn't have ended it. I mean, I know, that I'm not playing in his league, but... excuse me, I probably annoy you... and what do you mean by eager to get you?"
She chuckled: "Oh, there was nothing more, that he wanted, than getting into your really tight pants."
Kurt blushed furiously at this: "I would be bothered, but it doesn't matter, anymore."
"Oh god, you got it bad", she sighed.
"What? No, I'm over him", he statet confidently.
"Yeah sure and I'm the Queen", she rolled her neatly with mascara covered eyes.
Kurt repeated her action: "Please, can we let it be and talk about something more thrilling?"
Then the cheerleader smirked again and engaged him in a conversation about the bodies of some actors and actresses, who were currently named as the best, what left Kurt with a good mood, when he headed to his next class: Algebra.
Much to his surprise, in the seat he was occupying the previous day, was now settled down a very familiar, dark-haired boy.
They shortly made eye contact, but instantlyKurt averted his eyes to the back of the room and rushed passed Blaine, finding a seat as far away from the badboy as possible.
He again couldn't really pay attention to what was actually happening in the class, because he had the back of Blaine's head in front of him, distracting him from everything else.
The teacher seemed positivly surprised to see Blaine in class, what made Kurt think, that the other boy wasn't excactly often present, but because the teen didn't put much effort into participating, Mr. Clarson ignored him for the rest of the hour.
Kurt sighed in relief, when the bell rang and he was free to leave, after he had promised Rachel, Mercedes and Tina through text to meet them in his short break, before the next period began.
What he didn't expect, was Blaine walking up beside him: "Hey, babe."
Kurt frowned, not excactly sure, what was happening: "What do you want, Blaine?"
The boy smirked: "There's a lot I want, but for now this is enough."
Blaine pulled Kurt on his hand into the next empty classroom, immediatly pressing him against the door and covering his lips with his own. Kurt was startled and wanted to protest first, but Blaine's lips felt too nice against his for Kurt to think straight.
First they only slowly moved against each other, until the other boy's tongue licked over his bottom lip, demanding entrance, which Kurt allowed with a gasp. This was kissing, it was easy. He had done it before, even if this send way more adrenaline through his veins, than anything, he had ever experienced.
The thing that really caught him off guard was two firm hands gripping his ass, while Blaine kept on sucking on his tongue, alternating with nibbling on his bottom lip, making little moans come from deep in Kurt's chest.
This was too much too fast and in the wrong location. For god's sake, they were in their school. So, Kurt firmly placed his shaking hand's on the smaller teen's chest, making a move to push the boy away, who made a whining sound at the loss of contact, sending another shiver through Kurt.
They opened their eyes at the same moment, staring into each other's with lust blown pupils. Blaine wore an unreadable expression, his lips slightly parted, until he took a step back, retreating his hands to himself.
He worried his bottom lip between his teeth, closing his eyes for a second and taking a deep breath. "Fuck, Kurt", he groaned and then moved, pushing the other boy aside to leave through the door.
After a second of being dumbstruck, Kurt ran behind him out of the classroom into the now empty hallway, the bell having rung a minute ago, and shouted after the boy: "What the hell, Blaine?"
But the teenwas already rounding the corner, while Kurt slumped down against the row of lockers, burying his aching head in his hands. What the heck just happened?
Comments
This was really good. I look forward to seeing if Blaine is able to either stay away or get Kurt to sleep with him. I love that Santana and Kurt seemed to have formed a bond and I kind of hope that she will confront Blaine about what Kurt had to say. This has been so much fun to read and I can't wait to see where you take the characters next.
I didn't just squeal in excitement over your comment. Not at all. Thanks for bringing ideas to my head :D
