"Wow, that was... unexpected," Blaine said with a small chuckle as they pulled away from the kiss, but also keeping Kurt still close to him.
"Was that too much?" Kurt asked in a whisper as he placed his hands on Blaine's chest to keep their distance.
"No. It was perfect," the curly-haired man smiled and sighed softly as he took Kurt's hands in his, pressing two kisses to either of his hands.
Kurt giggled and blushed at the small gesture, "Okay, I- I think I'm gonna go shower now," he said and pulled away completely.
Blaine nodded his head as he leaned back against the kitchen counter and watched Kurt disappearing into the bathroom. This man really managed to surprise him with the way he acted. At one moment he was shy and then at the other he was totally self conscious and secure. But that's exactly what Blaine liked so much. Kurt wasn't like all his other ex-boyfriends and one night stands at all. He was... well, maybe even adventures. Kurt wasn't like all the attention-seeking guys in Blaine's past. Glady.
When Kurt got into the bathroom the first thing he did was looking at himself in the mirror. God, he looked awful. And he kissed Blaine while he was looking like that. Damn.
Quickly he took off his sleep shirt which not longer smelled like Blaine at all. He stripped out of his boxers and quickly slipped behind the shower curtain, turning on the water. Inhaline a deep breath he stepped completely under the stream, letting the hot water run over his body. It felt amazing; like all of his sorrows were washed off with one single shower.
Being here at Blaine's apartment still felt a little awkward since they weren't dating – were they even friends? He didn't know what kind of relationship they had, and he really didn't know how they were going to figure that out.
Maybe it was just because Blaine got him pregnant right away and they haven't had the chance to get to know each other properly at first – but that wasn't supposed to happen either way since Kurt was taken and being with Blaine was wrong in any way possible.

When Kurt finished his shower he quickly took the towel from where Blaine had put it onto the sink and wrapped it around his waist after drying his hair. He walked back into the guest room and got dressed in the same clothes as yesterday, sighing as he made his bed before deciding to head back into the living room.
"Kurt you're ba-" The doorbell cut Blaine off as he was about to walk over to Kurt. "Uh, excuse me for a moment," he laughed and walked over to the front door. He didn't believe his eyes as he saw his best friend, the one and only Sam Evans, standing in front of his door.
"Blainers!" Sam laughed as he pulled Blaine in for a brotherly hug which the 25-year-old responded with a small gasp.
"Sam! What are you doing here? Since when are you in New York?" He asked excitingly as the other male stepped inside.
"Just a few days, buddy. But I really needed to see how my man's doing," he grinned, his eyes trailing around the room before they fell on Kurt. "Oh... you have a visitor. Is that him?" Sam smirked lightly as he walked over to Kurt and held out his hand towards him.
"Sam, knock it off," Blaine whispered and blushed lightly as he followed after Sam and stood next to Kurt.
"Kurt, right?" Sam asked as the 22-year-old shook his hand and smiled softly.
"How do you know my name?" Kurt asked, turning around to Blaine who just shrugged one shoulder and ducked his head.
Sam laughed, rolling his eyes playfully. "Well, Blaine here told me a lot about you already." The blonde said and nudged his best friend's side.
"Oh?" Kurt asked, biting his lip as he glanced over at Blaine.
"Yeah, well, keep it down, Sam. He didn't need to know that," he whispered and smacked his arm lightly.
"What? He should know how much you talk about him! You sound like a sixteen year old teenager when you talk about how much you love his eyes and smile and... well, anyhow," Sam grinned.
Blaine's eyes widened, "Thanks CNN." He groaned and looked back up at Kurt who giggled softly and waved it off.
"It's okay," the younger one said and smiled. "I'm flattered, actually," he admitted with a small blush.
"See? He's flattered," Sam rested his arm around Blaine's shoulder and ruffled his curls lightly before letting go off him again. "Well, if you didn't know yet, I'm Sam. The best friend of this bow-tie obsessed freak." He laughed.
"Thank you, that's so lovely of you, Sam," Blaine rolled his eyes and walked into the living room with them, gesturing for Sam to make himself comfortable and at home.
"Blaine mentioned you. You grew up with each other, right?" Kurt asked, sitting down with Sam as he glanced up at Blaine again.
"That's true. Growing up together made us become like brothers. I just love this guy, even if it wasn't in the way he wanted, eh, Blaine?" Sam let out a sigh and looked back at Kurt.
"Sam," Blaine warned and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Another thing you didn't want him to know!?" Sam asked, raising his eyebrows to which Blaine responded with a sharp nod.
"What? How do you mean not in the way he wanted?" Kurt asked curiously, "You mean- oh," Kurt laughed softly, shaking his head.
"Yeah, exactly," Sam nodded.
Blaine glanced up at the ceiling, silently praying this conversation was just a dream and Sam wasn't embarrassing him in front of Kurt like that.
"Aw, that's sad. So he was in love with you but you didn't return his feelings?" Kurt pouted playfully and pulled up his legs on the couch. He already liked Blaine's best friend; he was so funny and he enjoyed talking to him already.
"Yeah, well. It was in high school, y'know. We were really close and he thought there could be more, right Blaine?" Sam glanced up at Blaine who was about to turn as red as a tomato. "Yeah, you see, Kurt. I'm straight. Like in, I love girls." The blonde smiled and shrugged lightly. "And he's always been my bro, so there's been no way I could've returned those feelings."
Kurt nodded, he knew how that felt. "Ugh, I know exactly what you mean. I've been in love with straight guys all the time, even with a guy who became my stepbrother." He smiled and chuckled softly at the memory.
"Step brother? That's awful." Sam agreed.
Blaine cleared his throat, "Um, excuse me guys. I'm glad you two get along so well, but may I ask what you're really doing here, Sam? You're not just here to embarrass me, so what's up?" Blaine sighed as he glanced down at his best friend.
"You would've been a really good detective, Devon." Sam rolled his eyes and turned around to him.
"Devon?" Kurt chuckled.
"That's his second name. Doesn't that sound like an amazing detective name? Blaine Devon Ander-"
"Sam." Blaine interrupted before he could come up with any other things that would distract both of them from the real reason he was over at Blaine's place.
"Fine. I'll tell you. But really, you should consider this detective thing, it's awe-"
"Sam!" Blaine warned again, louder this time and raised his eyebrows as he shot him a glare.
Sam sighed and nodded, ducking his head before he looked back up at Blaine. His expression suddenly turned serious as he locked eyes with the 25-year-old before he whispered, "Your dad's been in a car accident and he... he died."
