Kurt sighed as he got up from his bed, quietly and carefully opening the door of the guest's bedroom. He tip-toed into the kitchen and got himself a bottle of water, about to walk back into his room when he heard Blaine's voice.
"Hey," The older one said softly from where he was sitting on the couch in the living room.
Kurt jumped lightly as he glanced back at the couch. "Blaine," he breathed out, "You scared me," he added and ducked his head, looking down at his feet.
"Sorry..." Blaine said as he stood up and walked over to Kurt, "Couldn't sleep?" He asked, to which Kurt nodded his head and glanced back up into Blaine's eyes.
"Yeah..." The 22-year-old smiled weakly. "I'm really sorry about yesterday... I didn't mean to not talk to you at all. That wasn't fair, you just... you wanted to help me, and I- I really appreciate that, okay? I just needed a little time to myself," Kurt explained, biting his lip nervously.
"Hey..." Blaine shook his head and brushed a stray of hair out of Kurt's eyes. "Don't apologize, alright? It's fine. I just want you to know that I'm here for you no matter what," he replied softly.
"Thank you." The younger one smiled and stepped closer to him, wrapping his arms around his neck as he pulled him in for a small hug.
Blaine smiled as he pressed a kiss to Kurt's cheek, hugging him back tightly. Even if it seemed like Kurt really didn't want to talk about what happened between him and Adam, Blaine was still glad that he talked to him again.
"Blaine?" Kurt asked quietly as he pulled away from their hug a few minutes later. "I... um, can I come and sleep with you now? I really don't want to be alone," he said.
The 25-year-old laughed softly and rolled his eyes fondly. "Kurt. You don't have to ask. Of course you can. C'mon, let's get you to bed," he smiled softly and took Kurt's hand, leading him into his bedroom.
Kurt smiled as he laid down with Blaine, snuggling into his chest. It felt so good to be held by him – Adam had never done it that way. They'd always lain separated and they only 'cuddled' after sex, but only if Adam had been in the mood of course.
"Sleep well, darling," Blaine whispered and pressed a kiss to Kurt's forehead as he tugged the blanket over them.
"You too," The younger one smiled up at him before they both drifted off to sleep shortly after.

Only two week passed until Kurt decided they should finally take the next step and tell his family about their baby and introduce Blaine to them. The flight over to Ohio felt like only a minute to Kurt since he'd fallen asleep on the older one's shoulder. The 22-year-old hadn't been back in his hometown since he'd gotten married to his now ex-husband.
Him and Blaine luckily got a cab right away and Kurt smiled to himself as he told the driver the address of his dad's house. It was only twenty minutes later when the couple stepped out of the cab; both staring at the house in front of them. Kurt stared because he hadn't been here for a few years, and Blaine because he was a nervous wreck.
"Oh god, it feels strange to be back here," Kurt breathed out as he squeezed Blaine's hand gently.
"It feels strange to be here. I don't know... God, Kurt. Can't we just... fly back to New York?" Blaine asked with a small pout as he turned towards Kurt, crossing his arms stubbornly over his chest.
"No we can't. We just got here. Don't be so nervous, Blaine." The younger one smiled and leaned in to press a small kiss to his pout. "It's going to be just fine. You're not the one who's having a visible baby bump." Kurt nudged his side teasingly just as the door of his father's house opened and Carole and Burt appeared in the doorframe.
"Dad! Carole!" Kurt beamed excitingly and rushed over to hug them, Blaine staying behind him as he did so. "God, I missed you both so terribly much!" He said, his eyes welling up with tears right away.
"We've missed you too, very much, hon." Carole smiled and pressed a kiss to Kurt's cheek before her face light up as she noticed Blaine.
"You must be Blaine!" She smiled and reached out to pull him into a hug as well, which he shyly returned. "We've heard so much about you already. Now, boys, come inside."
Burt smiled as he hugged Kurt and eyed Blaine as they all got inside and walked into the living room. "So, you're Blaine," Burt said and held out his hand and Blaine shook it quickly with a small, weak smile on his lips.
"Yes, sir. Blaine Anderson," He nodded his head as Kurt tugged him down onto the couch to sit next to him.
"Sir? Just call me Burt. Sir makes me feel so old," he laughed and looked back at Kurt for a moment as Carole went into the kitchen to get them a drink.
"So, Kurt, how's everything in New York? Still as exciting as when you got there?" Carole asked with a wide smile as she stood next to Burt's chair, carefully sitting down on the armrest.
"Oh, New York's been good so far. I'm still looking for a new job, though." He shrugged lightly and squeezed Blaine's hand as he felt how nervous he still was.
"Well, even if I never got along with Adam that well, I have to agree that working as a model wasn't that good for you, son." Burt said seriously and pulled Carole closer to him.
Kurt sighed heavily and shook his head, "Dad, please don't bring Adam up now."
"Sorry, well. Then let's bring your new partner up," He said and turned back to Blaine. "I think you should tell us a little something about yourself, Blaine."
The older one swallowed heavily as he glanced over at Kurt for a moment. "Uh, well..." he chuckled and cleared his throat awkwardly. Kurt rolled his eyes fondly, finding it rather adorable how nervous Blaine was around his dad.
"He's the owner of a really famous bar in New York, dad. He's even got a really huge apartment," Kurt cut in and gently ran his hand up and down Blaine's shoulder to try and calm him down.
"Oh?" Burt said, raising his eyebrows. "Well, I suppose we should come over some time to visit you two then," he smiled at his son.
"You should, definitely." Kurt smiled and glanced up at Blaine. "That's okay with you right?"
Blaine nodded his head quickly, happy that Kurt was still holding his hand as he said, "Yes, of course. We do have enough room for you two at our apartment." The 25-year-old smiled proudly.
"So you guys are living together already?" Burt asked, eying both Kurt and Blaine curiously. "But that wasn't the thing you wanted to tell us, right? You've said something about 'serious' on the phone." His father said and raised his eyebrows again.
"Um... actually it's something real serious." Kurt said quietly, taking a deep breath. "Look... well, there isn't some easy way to say it so I'm just gonna blurt it out." The 22-year-old announced. "Erm, well, Dad I told you that I've been having trouble with Adam that one night and I... I yeah, I went to Blaine's bar and we... well," he fiddled nervously with his shirt, "Blaine and I... we, well...had sex without protection and he got me pregnant that night." Kurt whispered the last part of his stuttered sentence and smiled innocently up at his father.
Burt looked up at Carole; both of their expressions rather shocked. "Pregnant?" Carole asked again, making sure they'd heard right.
Kurt nodded his head. "Yeah... a boy actually... I'm 15 weeks now." He bit his bottom lip as he felt Blaine squeezing his hand reassuringly.
"Oh Kurt!" Carole exclaimed and practically jumped up and pulled her stepson into her arms. "I'm so happy for you! This is a real miracle!" She beamed and kissed his cheek gently before hugging Blaine as well.
"So... you're not mad?" Kurt asked hopefully, then glancing back at his father who still hadn't said a thing.
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Burt asked as a smile appeared on his face and he also got over to the couple, giving his son a tight hug. "So a boy you say?" He asked as he pulled away and looked over at Blaine. "Do you like sports?" Burt asked him to which Kurt gestured for Blaine to nod his head.
"Uh, y-yes Burt. I do," the 25-year-old nodded and smiled softly as Kurt pecked his cheek lightly.
"Great then, because as you might have noticed already... Kurt doesn't. So it's good to know that you're going to teach my grandson football." Burt laughed and patted Blaine's shoulder a few times.
"Kurt? We were actually planning on making dinner. Do you mind helping me out in the kitchen? Let the two get to know one another," She chuckled as she almost dragged Kurt away from his father and Blaine. He caught a last small glimpse of Blaine's wide eyes before he disappeared in the kitchen.
"Well, that's right." Burt gestured for the curly haired man to sit back down on the couch as he took his seat on his armchair. "Even though I've heard about you and now that you're owning a bar, but... how old are you even? And most important, I want to tell you something." Burt took a small breath as he leaned back. "I've told Adam the same, and I suppose he didn't take me seriously." He said with a small sigh and shook his head. "If you ever hurt my boy... I just want to let you know that I also own something... a gun to be exact, and I'm willing to use it."
Blaine swallowed thickly and shook his head quickly. "N-No, I..I promise I won't. I really... I really care about Kurt and I love him... I can't wait to raise our boy with him and I swear I will never leave or hurt him."
Burt smiled and nodded, "I'm glad to hear that. Y'know, I actually have this feeling that you're good for him. When I first met his, well... Adam, it was just a disaster. I didn't think he'd be the kind of terrible husband he turned out to be. And for your and Kurt's sake. Don't even think about starting to drink." Burt said in a warning tone.
"I- um, well I do drink but I know where to draw the line. I mean, just a glass wine or... y'know." Blaine shrugged lightly and nodded. "But I'd never go too far with it and get so drunk and hit Kurt." He said and shook his head.
"He hit him?" Burt raised his eyebrows.
The 25-year-old sighed and nodded, "It was a slap, but... I don't know if that's happened before. I just know that I punched this asshole right in the-"
"What are you guys talking about?" Kurt asked as he walked back over to Blaine and smiled softly.
"N-Nothing," Blaine chuckled nervously and waved it off. "How's dinner going?"
"Oh god... Dad, you didn't tell him about your gun, right?" Kurt sighed and rolled his eyes as he looked back down at Blaine. "Please don't listen to him. He's shown the gun to everyone I know but he'd never actually use it, I promise you, honey."
"I would use it!" Burt cut in and glanced over at Kurt. "And why didn't you tell me that Adam hit you? I mean, you told me about that kiss two weeks ago-"
"DAD!" Kurt's eyes widened as he shot up from the couch.
"What? Didn't you tell him? Kurt, I thought you did-"
"But I didn't!" He snapped back and bit down on his bottom lip hard as he felt Blaine's hand on his shoulder in attempt to calm him down.
The 25-year-old sighed before he turned Kurt around to him, "Kurt... It's okay I... I knew already. I-I kinda... well, eavesdropped your conversation with your dad."
Kurt gasped and pushed Blaine back and off of him. "You what? That was supposed to be private Blaine! How could you?" He shook his head and rushed past him and his dad, grabbing his bag and heading out of the front door.
"Kurt wait!" Both Burt and Blaine practically yelled at the same time, sharing a weird look as they did.
"Something up, guys? Wait... where's Kurt?" Carole stepped into the living room, raising her eyebrows as she looked at Burt and Blaine in confusion.
