"Relax Blaine, Rachel set the whole thing up. We're meeting up with them for the
movies." Finn reassured him.
Blaine immediatley noticed when Kurt turned the corner.
"See-" Finn teased, "What did I tell you man? Come on."
"Oh my god, what a coincidence!" Finn yelled. "What are you guys doing here?!"
As soon as Kurt realized what was going on he turned to leave but Rachel grabbed
him.
"Kurt, you remember Blaine, don't you?" she said as she lightly squeezed Kurt's
arms and whispered "be nice" into his ears.
"Yes, I remember him," Kurt replied as he rolled his eyes.
Blaine gave him his best smile and waved. "Hi Kurt,"
"Hi."
"It's nice to see you again,"
"You too."
"And you look amazing."
"Oh thanks."
"Okay we're going to be late for the movie. Let's go." Rachel said as she pushed
both of them inside.
The movie was a disaster. Rachel and Finn were just making out the whole time,
which made things even more awkward for Kurt. Blaine didn't mind at all and
openly stared at Kurt during the movie.
"What?"
Blaine chuckled, "Nothing, nothing. I can just see all over your face how much
fun you are having."
Kurt laughed, realizing how sarcastic Blaine was being. He threw some popcorn at
him.
"Will you just watch the movie?" He said, almost flirting.
Blaine just snuck one last good look, and then paid as much attention to the
movie as he could with Kurt sitting right next to him. Kurt noticed and smiled,
being Rachel's brother didn't change the fact of how cute he was.
The movie ended soon after and they all walked outside together.
"So what was that movie even about?" Finn laughed.
"Here." Blaine handed Kurt his jacket when he saw him shivering. Kurt was
hesitant but he was cold, so he took it.
"What happened in there?" Rachel asked suspiciously.
"Do you want to go for a walk?" Blaine whispered to Kurt.
"Yeah." Kurt breathed.
"We're gonna take a walk." Blaine yelled back as they walked away.
"Do you guys love each other?" Finn asked.
"You guys do love each other." he concluded.
"Goodbye Finn." Kurt said half embarrassed and half annoyed.
"Okay, take your time!" Rachel yelled back, then turned and fist bumped Finn.
"Ha, well that was fun." Blaine said when they finally got away from Finn and
Rachel.
"Yeah, I haven't seen a movie in forever." Kurt sighed.
"How long is forever?"
"Months, a year. Who knows?"
"Because you hate the movies or because you don't have time because you're so
popular and everyone wants to spend some time with you?" Blaine said half
sarcastically.
"Ha, well because I've been busy. But not because of my endless amount of
friends.." Kurt said back, just as sarcastically.
"Do you mind if I ask why?"
"My dad, he has some health issues and recently had a stroke."
"..oh"
"He's okay now, but I still have the duty of watching everything he eats."
"That's really nice of you to look out for your dad like that."
"Yeah, he's all I've got and I'm not ready to be alone just yet."
"You're a senior right? What about college?" Blaine asked trying to bring the
conversation to something lighter.
"Yeah I've applied for NYADA and NYU and what about you? You and Rachel are
twins right? So you're a senior too."
"Well, we applied for Yale, stanford.. But I-"
"Who's we? You and Rachel?"
"God no. I mean my parents and myself. Actually not even myself because I want
to go to the army.."
"Do they not want you to go to the army?"
"Well.. No. They are really strict. And you wouldn't hear that coming from
Rachel because she's the favorite. But they have always been hard on me. Not my
mom, just my dad."
"Oh, is it because you're gay?"
Kurt hoped he wasn't over stepping and almost regretted asking. Blaine however, didn't mind at all.
Blaine scoffed, "Probably, even though Rachel denies it. But Kurt, what do you do
for fun?"
"What is fun?" Kurt laughed.
"Ha this is actually kind of surprising." Blaine said quietly as he walked beside Kurt with his hands in his pocket.
"What?"
"I figured you were always kind of.."
"Kind of what?"
"Just.. free"
"What?"
"Free"
"I am free Blaine."
"It doesn't really seem like it."
"Well, I am."
"Come over here. I want to show you something." Blaine was in the middle of an
empty street with his hand out waiting for Kurt to join him.
"Blaine, what are you doing?"
Blaine got down on the floor and laid down in the middle of the street.
"Just come on."
"You're gonna get ran over!" Kurt yelled from the sidewalk
"Yeah.. By all the cars." Blaine shot back sarcastically,
"My dad and I, before all the problems, we used to come out here and watch the
lights change from red, to green, to yellow. You can try it if you want."
"No thanks," Kurt said.
"Why not?"
"Because.. I don't know. Will you get up before a car comes?"
"Kurt live a little. come on, trust me."
Kurt thought about it, then decided to join Blaine. "Okay.. But realize that I
am ruining a perfectly amazing outfit for you."
"I am honored."
They sat there silently for awhile.
"So what happens if a car comes?"
Blaine laughed. "Then we die."
"What?!"
"Kurt relax, just trust me. You have to trust me."
The sat there for a few more minutes then Kurt spoke up again.
"Fashion."
"Hmm?"
"You asked me what I did for fun. I like fashion. I design outfits. I always
have, since I was little. But when I can draw an outfit out.. the world just
gets kind of quiet."
A loud noise appeared and suddenly a car was approaching. "Get out the street!"
The both jumped up Blaine grabbed Kurt's hand and they ran to the sidewalk.
Panting Blaine looked at Kurt, "Are you okay?"
Then he realized Kurt was laughing.. Hard.
"Why are you laughing?" Seeing Kurt laugh, made Blaine laugh himself.
"That was the most fun I've had in awhile."
Blaine smiled at him then an idea popped into his head. "Kurt, do you want to
dance with me?"
"Sure, Blaine." Kurt said without realizing what Blaine meant. Then he noticed
that Blaine had his hand out waiting for him to join him.
Suddenly, Kurt was nervous. "Here?"
"Yes."
"Now?"
"Mhm."
"Blaine we're not supposed to dance in the middle of the street."
"Who said we're dancing in the middle of the street?" Blaine whispered as he
grabbed Kurt, and they slowly began to dance.
"There's no music."
"Well I'll sing something." Blaine thought for a moment then came up with a song
and slowly, he began to sing.
You think I'm pretty, with out any make up on
You think I'm funny when I tell the punch line wrong..
I know you get me so I let my walls come down
"You're a good singer." Kurt said.
"Thank you."
"And I like this song." Kurt whispered.
Before you met me I was alright but things were kind of heavy
You brought me to life now every February you'll be my Valentine
They continued to sway back and forth and lost track of time.
Kurt with a smile that seemed to permanently stay on his face, sang along in his
head.
I finally found you, my missing puzzle piece. I'm complete.
