Author's Notes: Sorry this took so long. School has been rough trying to wrap everything up. Here's the next chapter. Hope you like it!
The first thing Kurt thought when he woke up the next morning was, ‘it smells just like Blaine.’ The pillow he was holding onto was warm and soft. It smelled like pine and a hint of cinnamon, that was all wrapped up in the most prominent smell that was Blaine. Kurt snuggled further into the warmth and comfort. His pillow then shifted and Kurt found himself now lying on his stomach.

‘What the hell?’ Kurt thought to himself. Ignoring the throbbing pain in his head, he cracked open his eyes and saw a sight that made him stop breathing. Blaine was sleeping on his back with Kurt now on top of him. His black curly hair was sticking up all over the place, trying to break free from the gel that wasn’t washed out the night before. His mouth was slightly parted. ‘They look so soft.’ Blaine’s eyes were closed and he was peacefully asleep. Kurt looked dreamily at the boy underneath him. Then, all of a sudden, the memories from last night came back. The laughs, the dancing, and the drinks. Oh the drinks. Last thing he could remember was someone putting him to bed. ‘Wait,’ He thought. ‘How did Blaine end up in my bed?’ Kurt scratched his head and groaned at the pounding. With that noise, Blaine mumbled something and then pulled Kurt closer to him. Which was impressive, seeing as how almost every inch of Kurt’s front was touching Blaine’s. Kurt stayed still, unsure of what to do. After a few more moments, Blaine mumbled again, but this time he was clearer.

“Kurt.” Blaine said softly. Kurt couldn’t help but smile at the fact that Blaine said his name.

“Blaine.” Kurt whispered, with a smile on his face. Blaine smiled too, then said his name again. When Kurt said Blaine’s name again, Blaine eyes started to flutter and then opened.

“Hi.” Blaine said.

“Hi.” Kurt said back. Warm hazel honey eyes met deep blue and green. A sort of familiarity and safety washed over the two as they laid in the others embrace. A spark flew between them. They stayed looking at each other for a couple of minutes before Kurt jumped up.

“Oh, God.” He bolted for the bathroom on their right and immediately closed and locked the door. He tried not to think that Blaine could hear him throwing up. ‘That’s so unattractive. What am I going to do?’ Since he was already in the bathroom, Kurt decided, after he was done throwing up, to get ready for his day. It was Saturday, so he could dress in regular clothes, which he was very thankful for. While in the shower, Kurt could only think of the way Blaine had looked at him when he had woken up. ‘Where do we go from here?’

*****

Kurt walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. Looking around the room he saw Jeff and Nick spooning together on Jeff’s bed, Finn was practically falling off his bed, Peter’s bed was made and didn’t look like it had been slept in, and Leo looked like he was hiding under his covers. However, his main focus was on the Gryffindor reading in the bed next to his. Trying to ignore his discomfort about being almost naked with only a towel around him, Kurt walked over to his bed and quickly picked out a suitable outfit for the autumn day. He placed them on his bed, crawled on, and shut the curtains. Missing the way Blaine’s eyes flicked to look at him. He changed and sat on his bed for a minute.

After giving himself a pep talk he opened his curtains and sat on the edge of the bed looking at his hands.

“Hey.” Kurt looked up to see Blaine closing his book
and sitting on the edge of his own bed facing Kurt. Their knees almost touching.

“Hi.” Kurt said back quietly. ‘God, why does this have to be so awkward?’

“Do you maybe want to go for a walk down by the lake? You know, so we can talk?” Blaine asked.

“Sure. That sounds nice.” Kurt and Blaine got up and walked out of the tower and towards a different part of the castle than Kurt had been before. Walking in silence, Kurt followed Blaine down a couple of corridors, on the main floor, and down a staircase. The boys went out a small door and blinked at the bright sunlight. Blaine led Kurt down a steep hill towards a hidden dock on a deserted side of the castle. They sat on the very edge of the dock, after slipping their shoes off, with their toes almost touching the water. With their sides touching, Kurt felt as if electricity was running up his arm and spreading to the rest of his body. He was unsure of what to say.

“It was a nightmare.” Blaine said, startling Kurt out of his own internal dilemma. “You were having some kind of nightmare. You were crying and looked terrified.” Kurt saw a look of pain cross Blaine’s face. “At one point you said ‘I don’t know why it keeps coming back’. I didn’t know what to do.” Blaine’s voice cracked a little. Kurt knew what nightmare Blaine was talking about and shuddered at the memory of it. They had been starting to go away since he left McKinley, but they still occur every once and awhile. He looked away from Blaine and out over the lake. He tried to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall. ‘Stop it. You’re just going to burden him.’ A single tear escaped and slid down his cheek. Kurt felt a calloused thumb sweep across his face and wipe the moisture away. Kurt turned his head and looked at Blaine through his red rimmed eyes.

“The only thing I thought to do was hold you.” Blaine took both of Kurt’s hands in his and held them in his. “I’m so sorry if I overstepped last night, but I had to do something.” Blaine’s eyes bore into Kurt’s blue and green ones. Sparks were practically crackling between them. It wasn’t a sharp crackle of electricity, but a soft warmth that held everything that really needed to be said between the two. Kurt looked down, after a moment, and whispered a “Thank you.” He looked up and gave Blaine a small smile. The smile that he received in return was almost blinding.

“Your welcome.” Blaine said.

They sat on the dock for hours, but what seemed like minutes to Kurt. They talked about everything. Music, family, likes, and dislikes. The memory of the nightmare was washed away like the small waves hitting the dock. At one point Blaine laid his head on Kurt’s shoulder and wrapped an arm around his waist. Kurt placed his own arm around Blaine’s shoulder and the boys held each other close.

‘Perfect,’ Kurt thought to himself. ‘He’s absolutely perfect. I never thought this could happen to me. I don’t deserve him.’ A small frown on his face. He truely did believe that after what had happened that no one would want him in a romantic kind of way. At around noon they finally walked back into the castle towards the Great Hall for lunch.

“Let’s keep walking.” Blaine said before they got to close to the entrance of the Hall.

“Okay.” Kurt agreed. Not wanting his time with Blaine to be interrupted by anyone. Their own little world, undisturbed. As they walked they stayed close to one another. Fingers grazing the others hand now and then. Without even realizing it, they ended up back in front of the wall with the hidden door to the Room of Requirement. A small wooden door suddenly appeared. Smiling Blaine took Kurt’s hand and led him through the door. The door swung shut behind them as the pair stood in awe at the room in front of them.

*****

The room was open and beautiful. Ornate metal candle holders held floating blue lights. The wall in front of them was taken up by large expansive windows. The dark hardwood floors had a plush cream colored rug covering it in front of a stone fireplace with a fire roaring. Two red coaches next to the fireplace on the right. The left of the room had a small kitchen with cabinets and a sink. A couple of doors next to the kitchen sink. Across the room under the windows, that bumped out a bit, was a window seat with a throw blanket resting with books on top of it. The room had turned into a type of hideaway. Perfect for two people.

Kurt and Blaine moved into the room. Blaine went to look at the fireplace, while Kurt went to the kitchen. Both boys circled the room until they met at the window seat. Blaine sat and spread his legs out while Kurt looked at the books. They alternated between being about Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms. Kurt smiled. He felt an arm circle his waist and soon found himself between Blaine’s legs with his back pressed against Blaine’s chest. Tilting his head, Kurt looked up at the boy behind him. Honey hazel and green met blue glasz. the two smiled at each other. Kurt snuggled into Blaine’s chest and felt Blaine hold him. After a while Blaine’s stomach growled. Breaking the silence.

“Sorry about that.” Blaine said. Kurt looked at him.

“It’s fine. Stay here, I’ll get us something from the kitchen. Hopefully there’s some food in the cupboards.” Kurt got up and walked towards the small nook. After a couple of tries, he found an enchanted one that held the cold food. Even though the room was a little chilly, he grabbed two already made sandwiches and glasses on pumpkin juice. All of it was placed on a tray and brought back over to the window seat. Blaine and Kurt smiled at each other and ate. A little while later, the dishes were left in a neat pile on the floor with the two boys lying in the way they had before.

“Tell me about your house back home.” Blaine said as he and Kurt lie, looking out the window.

“What do you want to know?” Kurt asked.

“How long have you lived in Lima?”

“My whole life actually. Though we’ve moved around a bit. First house we moved after my mom passed away, when I was eight.” Kurt said looking away. Memories of his mom were still hard sometimes.

“Oh Kurt. I’m so sorry.” Blaine said sincerely.

“It’s okay. It happened a long time ago. My Dad just couldn’t stay in the house after that. We moved into another house and stayed there till Dad and Carole got married. Then we needed more space. So we did.” Kurt looked at Blaine. “What about you and your home?”

“Well. You know about my house in Westerville in Ohio. We’ve had it since before Cooper was born. My grandparents live in London and we visit them a lot. It’s like a second home to me.” Blaine said.

“Can you tell me more about your grandparents and family?” Kurt asked, curious.

“Um. I guess.” Kurt sensed his hesitation.

“Sorry, you don’t have to if you don’t want to.” Kurt said sheepishly.

“No, It’s okay. I want to tell you.” Blaine sighed. “My whole family is really close. My Dad’s parents, the ones who live in London, are amazing. They come to visit us in Ohio every summer. Aunt Agatha is the only one on my Mom’s side who still keeps in contact. There was some big fight years ago that my Mom and Aunt Agatha just didn’t want deal with, so they cut ties. I have some aunts, uncles, and cousins I see every once and awhile on my Dad’s side. For the most part, I have an incredible family.” Kurt saw how Blaine looked so happy when he talked about his family. He had one last question that he was curious to know, but wasn’t sure if it was okay.

“Is your family okay... I mean... did they accept... or... I’m really screwing this up.” Kurt finally let his sentence just drift off.

“Accept what?” Blaine looked at Kurt’s face. “You mean is my family okay with me being gay?” Kurt nodded. “Yeah. Of course. Well, Grandma and Dad had a hard time with it at first, but their fine with it now. Dad’s actually really protective of me now when it comes to anyone treating me differently. I bet he and your Dad would get along great.” Kurt laughed.

“Yeah, Papa Bear Hummel takes it very seriously.” Kurt said. The boys talked more about their families until they saw the sky change colors out the window.

“I don’t want to go back.” Kurt mumbled as he folded the blanket and brought the dishes back. Blaine came up behind him and chuckled. Kurt turned to look at him.

“Today’s only Saturday. We have all of Sunday to enjoy before classes start again.” Blaine hugged Kurt.

“I know, but I have half a roll of parchment to do for Defense on counter jinxes.”

“I could help you.” Blaine said. Kurt looked at him and smiled.

“Really?” Blaine nodded. Kurt held him tighter. “I would love that.”

“Of course, I do have a price.” Blaine said. Kurt dropped his arms and looked at Blaine warily.

“What is it?” Kurt asked.

“I’ll let you know.” Blaine winked at him and grabbed Kurt’s hand. Leading him out the door and towards Gryffindor Tower. Heat shot into Kurt’s hand. ‘I’m never going to want him to let go.’ Kurt thought to himself.

“Well that’s not fair. How will I know if I can afford your help if you won’t tell me what I owe you?” Kurt asked, teasingly.

“I guess you’ll just have to take your chances.” Blaine responded. They walked hand in hand to the tower, through the painting, and up the stairs. Blaine and Kurt went into the dorm room, laughing at a story Kurt had been saying. Not noticing they weren’t alone in the room.

“And what’s going on here?” Both boys looked to see Jeff lying on his bed and Nick standing in the middle of the room, with an eyebrow arched. Kurt and Blaine looked down at their intertwined hands and then up at each other.

“Well...” Blaine started to say.
