After the three men had transfered all the boxes of Kurt's things from the cars to Kurt and Blaine's dorm room and Kurt had started to unpacked, objecting everytime his dad tried to help him, his father left to let Kurt unpack in peace and get settled in. Kurt hugged his father goodbye and promised to come home on the weekend.
It was Wednesday. Kurt was scheduled to start classes Thursday and Friday, but not expected to really participate much until the following Monday. He was so grateful that the school's staff had been so accomidating and helpful.

After unpacking everything and putting it away Kurt went and sat on his bed and really took in the room for the first time. As far as dorm rooms went it was a pretty nice room. It was larger than most dorms, not by a lot, but enough to comfortably fit the two twin sized beds, two small desks, and two small, three drawer dressers it held.
There was also an outcove style closet space in the wall which he would share with Blaine, although he used more of the space already.
Unlike most dorms, at least based on his limited knowledge, Kurt's new room also had an en-suite bathroom. He sighed in relief upon spotting it because it would have been a real pain to haul all of his products back and forth to a communal bathroom. When he had went in to arrange his products Kurt had found the bathroom, like the room, was small, but not uncomftably so. There was a sink, a small counter with a large mirror over it, a bathtub/shower, and, of course, a toilet.

"Everything alright Kurt?"
Kurt was started from his thoughts by Blaine's voice.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm good, just taking it all in" Kurt told him.
Yeah, I know it's a bit overwhelming at first, but things are pretty easy to get used to and you'll feel at home here in no time" Blaine replied
Kurt just hummed a noncommital noise and took a deep breath.
After a few minutes of silence Blaine asked Kurt if he'd like to watch a movie and Kurt said yes, anxious for some relaxation and down time. Blaine insisted he pick the movie and he decided on Mulan.
The way Blaine's dresser, which had the television on top of it, was positioned made it difficult to watch from Kurt's bed, so they both possitioned themselved on Blaine's bed. This made Kurt extremely nervious. He sat as far to his side of the mattress as he could while not falling off the bed. He'd never shared a space with another guy before, unless you count the week where Finn had slept in his room before they moved houses. Even then though, there was a lot of space between their beds.
The fact that Blaine wasn't treating him like a lepar was totally new to him. He wondered if this was what it was like to just be a normal teenager hanging out with a friends, no assumptions or prejudice, just watching a movie.
Kurt forced himself to just relax a little and watch the movie and time passed peacefully. Eventually both boys started to get drowsy, slumping down in the bed a little bit more, eyes drooping.
Blaine dozed off shortly before the movie ended so Kurt shut it off and went to bed, exhausted himself and wanting to be rested for his first day at Dalton tomorrow.
