Blaine was getting ready for bed when his phone buzzed and he practically threw himself across the room to get it. It was a text from an unknown number.

Unknown (10:32) -

:)

Blaine (10:32) -

Kurt?

Unknown (10:33) -

Who else?

Blaine (10:33) -

Long time, no see... :)

Unknown (10:35) -

Did I utilize your number too soon?

Blaine (10:35) -

Not at all! So... is there a reason why your number is blocked?

Unknown (10:35) -

Oops I forgot to turn it back so it showed my number... give me a sec...

1-212-137-2121 (10:37) -

Is it working now? :)

Blaine (10:38) -

It is indeed. :) So, can I call you? I forgot to ask you an important question... ;)

Blaine quickly saved Kurt's number to his phone.

Kurt (10:40) -

Sure... just give me a sec to get back to my room.

Blaine (10:40) -

Okay... where are you?

Kurt (10:40) -

I was in the living room... with my roommate, but now I'm in my room. You can call. :)

Blaine scrolled down to Kurt's name in his phone and pressed the call button. It rang twice before Kurt answered.

"Hello."

"Hey, you." Blaine replied in a flirtatious voice that caused Kurt to giggle on the other end of the line.

"So what's your important question?"

"Are you free Friday night? I'd like to take you out to dinner." Blaine answered.

For a moment Blaine thought Kurt might say no. Was this too soon after Kurt's break up? Why hadn't Kurt answered yet? Did he think Blaine was being too forward?

"I um... can we do tomorrow night instead? I don't want to wait that long." Blaine could hear the nervousness in Kurt's voice.

Blaine chuckled, "Sure, Kurt. I'd love that. I'll pick you up at eight, okay? Just text me your address."

"Okay." Kurt sighed.

"Sleep well, Kurt."

"You too, Blaine."

Blaine hung up the phone and smiled to himself. He was truly amazed with how much he already liked Kurt, even though he knew absolutely nothing about him. His phone buzzed in his hand and Blaine saw that it was Kurt's address. He smiled again sending back just a smiley face before climbing into bed and drifting slowly to sleep.

The next morning Blaine slept in for a while because he didn't have work today. When he got up he was already half-way through eating breakfast before he remembered that he was going to go on his first date with Kurt tonight. He smiled hugely down at his mostly empty cereal bowl before getting up and putting it in the sink.

He went back to his bedroom to pick out an outfit that he thought Kurt would like. He chose dark jeans that clung nicely to him, a nice white button-down shirt, and his favorite green cardigan that made his eyes pop. At the last minute he also grabbed his green bowtie.

After he laid his outfit out on his bed, grabbing some underwear out of the drawer as an afterthought, he went into his small bathroom to take a shower. He tried to make the shower last as long as possible because he knew he still had a few hours until he had to pick up Kurt.

After the shower he put on some clean sweatpants and a t-shirt so that he didn't get his outfit for tonight all wrinkled. Then he preceded to shave slowly and carefully. After that he gelled his hair.

He looked at the clock and saw that it was only two and sighed. He still had six hours until he had to pick up Kurt. He decided he might as well just get dressed, so he did. His phone buzzed then.

Kurt (2:01) -

Hey. I can't wait for our date tonight. :)

Blaine (2:01) -

Me either. Well, I literally can't wait. I'm already ready... and I still have six hours till I come get you...

Kurt (2:03) -

Oh my god, Blaine... you're kidding right?

Blaine (2:04) -

Not even a little bit. I'm not doing anything today...

Kurt (2:04) -

Shall we move out date to 4? I can be ready by then I think... I mean, if you want to.

Blaine (2:05) -

PLEASE. :)

Kurt (2:07) -

Well, someone's rather eager... ;)

Blaine (2:08) -

Shh... I'll see you at 4. Dress code is fancy-casual. :)

Kurt (2:09) -

Damn, I was planning on wearing sweatpants... ;)

Blaine (2:09) -

Hmm, maybe you should... that actually sounds pretty hot.

Kurt (2:11) -

Oh, hush.

Blaine (2:11) -

You're blushing right now aren't you? :)

Kurt (2:14) -

No.

Blaine (2:15) -

And you just waited 3 minutes to respond so that "no" would be true. :)

Kurt (2:15) -

Oh my God, Blaine. Please shut up before I die of embarrassment...

Blaine (2:16) -

Make me.

Kurt (2:17) -

...see you soon. :)

Blaine (2:17) -

So, are you going to make me shut up, or...?

Blaine didn't get a response, but that was okay. He'd see Kurt and find out soon enough. He wanted so badly for Kurt to kiss him tonight. He also wanted to see Kurt blush again, as it was one of the most adorable things he had ever seen.

Just an hour and forty minutes...

At exactly four Blaine was standing outside Kurt's apartment door holding a bouquet of yellow and red tulips. He was slightly nervous as he knocked on the door. It opened not ten seconds later, but it wasn't Kurt who answered the door. It was a short, brunette girl who smiled brightly at him.

At first he thought he was at the wrong address, but then the girl turned around and called out Kurt's name.

"There is a handsome man at the door for you!" she shouted, then to Blaine, "Come on in, he's probably just finishing his hair."

"Thanks." Blaine smiled and came in.

"Blaine! You... you brought flowers?" Kurt smiled looking amusedly at Blaine as he came out from what Blaine could only assume to be his bedroom.

"For you." Blaine held them out to Kurt and he felt the blood rising in his cheeks.

"Thank you, they're beautiful. I'll just get them a vase and some water and then we can go," he smiled before saying, "Make yourself at home."

"I'm Rachel by the way," Rachel came over to Blaine and offered him a handshake which he gladly returned.

"It's nice to meet you Rachel," Blaine said, "How long have you known Kurt?"

"It's been about eight years now," she said after a moment of thought, "and not once have I seen him this excited for a date."

Blaine didn't know what to say to that. He smiled hugely and started to blush again just as Kurt came back. He looked between Blaine and Rachel and saw that Blaine was blushing.

"What are you two talking about it here?" he looked pointedly at Rachel.

"Just how I've never seen you so excited for a da-"

"Rachel!" Kurt groaned looking extremely embarrassed.

"Well it's true!" she affirmed.

Kurt grabbed Blaine's hand suddenly and started towing him towards the door. It was clear to Blaine that he wanted to get out of there as fast as possible before Rachel could say anything else to embarrass him.

"Say goodbye, Rachel." He said not looking at her.

"Bye, Blaine! Have fun boys!" she giggled.

"It was nice to meet you-" but he couldn't finish as he was being yanked out into the hallway and the door was closing behind him.

"I'm going to kill her." Kurt muttered under his breath.

"Awe, don't do that. I'm sure she meant it as a compliment... at least that's how I took it," Blaine admitted, "You look amazing by the way."

Kurt was wearing a dark blue button-down shirt with black jeans and a black vest. The shade of blue that his shirt was accented the darker tones in Kurt's eyes nicely. His hair was also amazing.

Kurt looked at Blaine's outfit for the first time and replied, "You look amazing yourself, stunning really..."

They took the elevator down to the lobby before heading towards Blaine's car. That's when Blaine noticed that Kurt hadn't let go of his hand.

"We're holding hands," he spoke more to himself than anything, but Kurt took it the wrong way and started to pull away; Blaine held on, "No, I like it. It feels nice."

"I like it too." Kurt smiled sheepishly.

They stood there smiling at each other for a moment before they had to let go to get in the car. Blaine opened Kurt's door for him before going around to get in himself.

"Always the gentleman," Kurt spoke, "So where are we going?"

"I made dinner reservations for six, so we've got a couple hours... want to get some coffee or something?"

"Sounds perfect." Kurt reached out to take Blaine's hand again and he obliged willingly.

Blaine parked the car in front of a cute little coffee shop called Latte Chalet and then hopped out to run around and open Kurt's door again.

Once they were inside Blaine ordered his usual medium drip while Kurt ordered a grande non-fat mocha. After receiving their drinks they went to sit at a little table by the front windows.

"So, Kurt, tell me about yourself." Blaine smiled across the small table.

"I love musical theatre. I love fashion. I'm twenty-three. I too grew up in Ohio. I just graduated from NYADA, as did Rachel. I work at Vogue.com. Uhh... yeah." Kurt listed.

"Wow. You're amazing. You... you went to NYADA? Isn't it almost impossible to get in?" Blaine was blown away.

"Well I auditioned twice. The first time I didn't get in, but then they made me sing without warning at one of Rachel's concerts, kind of like a second audition I guess... and I made it."

"Wow... that's amazing. And you work for Vogue.com... wow. I feel like a complete fool for even trying to win you over..." Blaine admitted.

"Oh, please, Blaine. You are probably the nicest guy I have ever met. Don't belittle yourself." Kurt reached across the table to take Blaine's hand in his.

Blaine had no idea how he had managed to convince Kurt to like him, but somehow he had and that was good enough for now. Kurt took a sip of his mocha. As he put the cup down Blaine noticed a little bit of mocha on Kurt's upper lip and without thinking he reached across the table and wiped it away with his thumb. Kurt's eyes widened a little as Blaine, seeing that there were no napkins at the table, licked the mocha off of his thumb.

When he looked up Kurt was staring at him and his cheeks were the shade of watermelon. Blaine quickly realized what he had just done and felt heat coloring his cheeks as well.

"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have d-"

"It's okay. It just surprised me... It was actually really adorable."

"Oh," was all Blaine could manage. He felt extremely self-conscious all of a sudden.

"You're kind of adorable all the time though." Kurt added.

Blaine smiled gently, looking up at Kurt through his long lashes. He so wanted to kiss Kurt right then, but he held back because he didn't want to move too quickly.

"You're the most beautiful person I've ever seen." He whispered instead, not looking at Kurt.

"That's not true," Kurt started, "What about, like, Ryan Gosling? I'm not more attractive than Ryan fucking Gosling."

Blaine was taken by surprise at Kurt's word choice, but it made him smile. He wasn't expecting Kurt to say "fuck", but now that he had Blaine realized just how hot that was.

"Yes you are. I'd choose you over Ryan Gosling any day, Kurt. You're gorgeous."

"C'mon, let's get out of here." Kurt stood up ready to leave and Blaine thought that maybe he said something wrong, but then Kurt took his hand.

This time he intertwined their fingers though instead of just holding hands. Blaine smiled up at him. He really was the most gorgeous boy he'd ever seen. It was the truth whether Kurt believed it or not.

"Where do you want to go? We still have an hour before we have to head to dinner..." Blaine questioned.

"Is there a park around here?" Kurt wasn't quite familiar with this part of the city.

When they got to the nearest park they walked for a bit until they found a small picnic table where Kurt sat down. Blaine sat next to him rather than across. He wanted to be next to Kurt, to feel his warmth and smell his scent.

"It's so weird that we just met yesterday... I feel like I've known you forever." Blaine admitted.

"There you go being all adorable again." Kurt smiled and Blaine caught his eyes wander down to Blaine's lips and back up again, before he turned his face away.

"I thought I was always adorable?" Blaine teased and scooted a little closer to Kurt so that their thighs were touching.

"Well you are," Kurt looked down at their legs, "It just stands out sometimes."

"Whatever you say..."

"Like a puppy," he said trying to explain, "Puppies are always cute and adorable, but every once in a while they do something particularly so... you see what I mean?"

"Mm-hmm," Blaine hummed while watching Kurt's eyes flicker to his lips again, "Can... can I... kiss you? I mean I know you've been going through a lot lately, but I just want so badly to-"

Before he knew it Kurt was kissing him, cutting off the rest of his sentence. At first it surprised him and his eyes flew open. Kurt was closer than he'd ever seen him, and he was so beautiful. Blaine sunk into the kiss moving their lips together smoothly. He could taste a hint of mocha still lingering on the surface, but under that was the most magnificent flavor he had ever tasted...

Blaine moved one of his hands up to Kurt's face pulling him in closer. He traced his tongue across Kurt's bottom lip hoping to taste him a little better, but Kurt pulled back gently. He leaned his forehead against Blaine's briefly before moving away.

"Wow..." Blaine breathed.

What?" Kurt looked over at Blaine whose lips were red and wet.

"You just... wow. Just wow." Blaine was still a little out of breath from their prolonged kiss.

"You too, handsome."

"...Sorry I ruined the moment." Blaine apologized quietly.

"What?" Kurt asked in surprise.

"I... when I tried to stick my tongue in your mouth." He explained.

"You did not ruin the moment, Blaine. If anything that made it better, I was just completely out of oxygen."

"Oh," Blaine thought this over before he asked, "Can I kiss you again?"

"Later. We have a reservation to get to, mister." Kurt smiled getting up.

The restaurant that Blaine had chosen was a cute little Chinese place that was one of his favorites. It had some of the best food in the city, but hardly anyone knew about it.

"So, Kurt, where in Ohio are you from?" Blaine wondered.

"Lima. What about you?"

"Westerville... I can't believe we grew up just two hours away from each other, but we never met."

"Wait... you didn't go to Dalton Academy? Did you?" Kurt asked, a sudden excitement in his voice.

"I did. Why?"

"Oh my God... were you one of the Warblers?" His voice was getting more and more excited.

"Um, yeah. I was their lead singer actually... what are you getting at, Kurt?" Blaine was a little confused at how Kurt knew this.

"OH MY GOD. Blaine, I was in the New Directions! We beat you two years in a row. I had a crush on you!" Kurt was almost shouting at this point.

"Kurt, what? How did you have a crush on me? You didn't even know me..." Blaine blushed slightly, he wished he remembered Kurt like Kurt obviously remembered him.

"Well Blaine, I hate to be the first person to break this to you, but you're freaking gorgeous. Not to mention your singing voice pretty much melted me into a puddle..." Kurt admitted a little sarcastically.

"Oh, please! It did not..."

"Blaine, your voice somehow manages to be extremely hot yet also so pure and beautiful, and then there's you, who's all adorable and gorgeous and slightly dorky and just you. Of course it melted me."

"God, I want to kiss you right now..." Blaine thought out loud.

"Later." Kurt giggled again.

After dinner they decided to take a walk through Central Park. It was a beautiful summer evening and they walked side by side, their arms linked through one another's.

"Wait, but in all seriousness, you didn't really have a crush on me... did you?" Blaine resumed their earlier conversation.

"You're still on that? Yes, Blaine. If you think I'm lying, just ask Rachel; she used to push me to go talk to you after our competitions." Kurt laughed at the memory.

"Why didn't you? Come talk to me, I mean." Blaine asked.

"Um, because I had a lot more baby-fat and a lot less confidence. And you were gorgeous, still are, and I would have just made a fool of myself in front of the single most agonizingly beautiful boy in all of Ohio... not to mention I didn't even know if you were gay or not so that could have been extremely awkward..."

"Can you imagine if you had talked to me back then though? We could have been dating for like seven years by now..." Blaine quickly realized what he had just said and tried to fix it, "Not to be presumptuous or anything, I mean I know this is just the first date, and if you don't like me please feel free to-"

But Kurt was kissing him again. It wasn't so passionate this time, yet it was still incredible. Having Kurt so close to him felt so perfect and amazing. Blaine was the first one to pull away this time.

"You do know how to shut a guy up, don't you?" Blaine's smile reached his eyes and twinkled there for a while.

Kurt laughed, "So, what's next, mister big date planner?"

"I was thinking we could get some cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory and either sneak it into a movie theatre, or eat it at my house while watching one of my movies. Up to you, mister kisses people when they're not expecting it."

"Hmm..." Kurt thought a moment, "Well, I'd rather just watch something at your place, but you should know that I don't ever do anything remotely, uh, sexual on the first date."

"Well damn, I was planning on ravishing you all night long." Blaine chuckled looking up at Kurt to see his eyes wide, mouth hanging open and his cheeks cherry-red, "That was a joke, Kurt."

Kurt closed his mouth slowly and swallowed. His cheeks were still bright red though and the blush had actually climbed to the tips of his ears.

"Y-yeah, um, yeah." Kurt stuttered.

"I'm sorry; I shouldn't have said that... that was stupid." Blaine felt like a complete idiot, what the hell was he thinking saying something like that on a first date? He'd probably scared Kurt off for good.

Kurt cleared his throat, "So, your place then?"

After picking up a small plain cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory they were finally back at Blaine's small apartment.

"Can I, uh, use your restroom?" Kurt asked quietly.

"Sure thing, it's down the hall on the left." Blaine headed toward the kitchen humming to himself.

He started cutting the cheesecake and putting it on two plates, before pulling out a bottle of red wine and two glasses. He hadn't even realized that his humming had turned to singing...

You make me

Feel like I'm living a

Teenage dream

The way you turn me on

He pulled open a drawer and pulled out two forks.

I can't sleep

Let's run away and

Don't ever look back

Don't ever look back!

He opened another drawer and pulled out the cork-screw.

My heart stops

When you look at me

Just one touch

And baby I believe

This is real

He was now using the cork-screw as a microphone.

So take a chance and

Don't ever look back

Don't ever look back!

He pulled the cork out of the wine.

I'm 'a get your heart racing

In my skin-tight jeans

Be your teenage dream

Tonight!

Let you put your hands on me

In my skin-tight jeans

Be your teenage dream

Tonight!

"Well they are skin-tight..."

Blaine spun around to see Kurt leaning against the doorway to the kitchen. His arms were crossed and he was smirking as if he'd just caught a child stealing a cookie from the cookie jar.

"Oh! Uh... I think I got a little carried away." Blaine looked extremely embarrassed all of the sudden. He was staring down at his feet trying to think of something that would make him look less like a dork.

"My favorite part was when you used the cork-screw as a microphone," Kurt chuckled coming over to Blaine and lifting his chin up, "Why are you so embarrassed?"

"You just caught me dancing around my kitchen and singing into a cork-screw... what's not to be embarrassed about?" Blaine laughed a little at himself.

"You're adorable," Kurt muttered grabbing one of the cheesecake plates and a glass of wine, "now where is your movie collection?"

"That's quite a bit of Disney you've got there, Blaine." Kurt giggled.

"Oh hush, you."

"I'm not making fun of you, I love Disney... how about Cinderella?"

"Um, I actually just watched that one like two days ago... can we watch another one?" Blaine admitted.

"Sure, how about... Aladdin?" Kurt decided.

"Sure!" Blaine was so happy to have found a guy who actually wanted to watch Disney with him.

All his old boyfriends had laughed at his rather large Disney collection and then picked one of Blaine's Star Wars or Transformers movies (which Blaine obviously didn't mind because he owned them, but still). Blaine put the DVD in and then stood up.

"I'll be right back. Since we're going to watch a movie I'm going to get a little more comfortable... can I get you anything while I'm up?" Blaine had just started to feel how extremely tight his jeans really were.

"No thanks." Kurt smiled up at him.

Blaine returned a few minutes later carrying a couple pillows and a throw blanket. He was wearing grey sweat pants that fit him a little more snuggly than one would have expected and a red Warblers hoodie. Kurt's jaw dropped a little looking at him.

Blaine threw the pillows onto the couch, along with the blanket, and then plopped down next to Kurt and pressed play. About halfway through the opening song, Blaine noticed Kurt staring at him and chuckled before taking another bite of his cheesecake.

"You've got some cheesecake on your face." Kurt noted aloud.

Blaine stuck out his tongue trying to find the bit that had somehow managed to escape his mouth, "Did I get it?"

"No," Kurt giggled, "It's right above your upper lip by the corner, you dummy."

"Maybe you should help me..." Blaine suggested with a small smile.

"Don't mind if I do." Kurt leaned towards Blaine and kissed the corner of his mouth gently.

Blaine slid one of his hands to the back of Kurt's neck and pulled him in to deepen the kiss. Kurt's mouth opened slightly and Blaine slid his tongue into his mouth to meet Kurt's sweet taste again. Blaine heard as a moan escaped the back of his throat and Kurt's breath hitched for a second before he climbed onto Blaine's lap and pushed him gently back against the couch. Kurt's hand played with the loosened curls at the nape of Blaine's neck giving Blaine goose bumps. Blaine pulled away needing air.

"God, Kurt." He whined quietly, knowing that if they continued for even just another minute he would have to take care of the problem that had already started to form in his pants.

"Sorry..." Kurt smiled knowingly and climbed off of Blaine before turning back to the movie.

Blaine removed his hoodie because he was too hot after their brief make-out session. And speaking of hot... god Kurt was hot.

"Thank you." Kurt said cockily.

"Wha-what?" Blaine asked confused, "I didn't say anything..."

"But you were thinking it."

"Thinking what?"

"How hot I am." Kurt said matter-of-factly.

"Wha- how do you know that?" Blaine's eyes were wide as he stared at Kurt.

"Well you've been staring at me for about three minutes straight now, not to mention what's going on in your extremely tight 'leaves nothing to the imagination' pants." Kurt laughed as Blaine grabbed his hoodie and covered himself.

"Oh my god..." he groaned in complete embarrassment hiding his face in his hands.

"Hey now," Kurt laughed again, "It happens to all of us... some of us are just better at hiding it."

"If you're done with that hoodie, can I wear it? It's freezing in here." Kurt asked about half-way through Aladdin.

"Sure thing hon-" shit there was no turning back now, "-ey."

"Honey?" Kurt grinned.

"I don't know, sorry, it just sort of slipped out..." Blaine handed over the hoodie and watched as Kurt pulled it over his head.

"God. You really need to stop apologizing so often. Calm down, Blaine. I liked it."

And with that Kurt pushed Blaine back down onto the couch, kissed him once, and then laid there snuggling into Blaine's chest.
