Author's Notes: So sorry at how short this chapter is!
“Kurt?” Blaine asked, rushing to the boy, “Oh my god, Kurt.”
“I was the reason? I was the reason all the students were killed,” Kurt whispered.
“No,” Blaine breathed, his hand lightly brushing Kurt’s cheek, wiping away a tear.
“I love you, please, just..” Kurt’s voice broke, “just never leave me. You saved me, not just from that bullet, but you saved me the day I saw you on that staircase.” Kurt knew how cheesy he sounded, how utterly cliche it was.
“Why would I ever leave you?” Blaine said grabbing for Kurt’s hand, “You saved me, Kurt.”
Kurt began to laugh lightly at how stupid at all sounded, showing his tiny teeth. Without thinking, Blaine leaned in and kissed him lightly, softly, quickly. Feeling Kurt’s tears on his cheeks. As he pulled back, Kurt whispered, “Please be happy Blaine? I’m alive, I’m okay. It’s over, it’s all over.”
Out of the corner of his eye, Blaine could see Dave slowly slip out of the doorway and down the hall.
“Hold on,” Blaine said, holding his finger up as he ran out of the room. He could see Kurofsky at the end of the hall. “Wait! Dave!” he yelled. Dave stopped and turned around.
“I-I’m really sorry I punched you,” Blaine said, though he still felt some anger toward the other boy.
“Listen,” Kurofsky said, “What you and Kurt have, I’ve never seen that. I just- thank you for showing me. Showing me that there is still love through all this shit. Shit like people saying that being gay isn’t right. I had nothing to do with the shooting but I was a coward, I was ignorant, I did bully Kurt. And if I could take it all back I would. Tell Kurt that I’m sorry. And-uh Blaine?”
“Yeah?”
“I’m sorry you had to go through that. No one should have to see that.”
Dave turned around and walked away, leaving Blaine standing there, contemplating.

Blaine walked back to Kurt’s room to find that the doctors had already beat him there, so he leaned against the wall in the hallway, the hallway that had become his home since his life cam crashing down around him. For the first time, he felt that things might be okay. Blaine sat thinking for a few minutes, thinking about how much closer he felt Kurt, how their relationship was suddenly stronger. What they had been through, it was a lot, but it showed the strength of their love.
Blaine smiled at himself, realizing that there were some things he had to do before seeing Kurt or the Hummels again. So he called himself a cab and left the hospital, a smile still on his face.
