"Yes, I know. Thank you." Quinn is able to hear Kurt down the hall. "I will try. Yes, my friend is driving home. I promise." He sighs. "I'll have my cell on me. Goodbye." Kurt was silent except for a quick, "Let's go," to Quinn as he passed her.
"Keys." She says before Kurt tosses them to her. Turning the car on and and blasting the heat, Quinn turns to face Kurt. "How's he doing?"
"The same." Kurt answers, looking out the window.
Quinn sighs, knowing to keep quiet. "Buckle up." She demands as she buckled herself in. Putting the car into gear, she starts to leave the parking lot. Not wanting to deal with the silence, Quinn asks, "How are you doing, Kurt?"
Kurt closes his eyes and responds. "I'm fine."
At the stop sign, Quinn yells, "Bullshit!" and hits her hand against the steering wheel, causing to Kurt to jump. "Fucking bullshit. I understand that you're depressed over this, Kurt. I really do. But stop fucking telling all of us that you're fine!" When Kurt keeps quiet, Quinn continues in a softer tone as she pulls onto the road. "We're worried, Kurt. Okay? We-...we just want you to be happy." She tells him.
The rest of the car ride is silent except for when Quinn plugged her ipod into the radio and her music played softly in the background. Pulling into the driveway, Quinn sighs. "I'm sorry."
"No." Kurt says, earning a questioning look from the girl. "I'm the one who's sorry." He unbuckles as Quinn turns the engine off. "Thank you." He says as he leans over and kisses her cheek. "I'm gonna go upstairs for a bit." He informs her before getting out and taking his bag with him.
Blaine had his headphones on, punk rock blasting in his ears as he laid back on his bed, hands folded on his stomach. He breathed in deeply, the music filling his head and distracting him from the reality he was in. It was like drugs for him, except he didn't have to pay a hundred a bag for it. Although he figured the reason he was floating in space was because he was smoking a joint. He opened his eyes to remove the joint from between his lips and blow out a ring of smoke above him, inhaling the sweet scent of marijuana and sighing in relaxation. Both his parents were absent from the house, as they had promised, and he had the whole entire vacant place to himself to do as he pleased.
His mediation hour was suddenly cut short when his phone vibrated on his night stand. He opened his eyes again to reach over and check who was texting him. He saw Unknown above a text that read 'Hey,' and he texted back. 'Did I sleep with you or something? It doesn't show your name.'
Kurt sighs, shaking his head when he read Blaine's response. 'Well...I'll let you take a guess as to who I am.' He texts back, waiting for it to send.
Blaine furrows his brows. 'Uhh...is this Max?'
Kurt chuckles at the response he got, tugging at the flannel he put on when he got home. 'Nope. Ya gotta keep guessing Anderson.'
'James?'
'Noope.'
'Danny?'
'Hmm. Getting a bit closer there.'
'Say something I'd recognize.'
'Well...you have have made someone mad because of a comment made about me.'
'Well I already have Santana, Quinn, Rachel, Jamie, Ally, and Becca in my phone so all that's left is...Hummel! Hey what's up baby?'
'....Since when have you had Q's number?'
'.....She never told you did she...'
'No. She hasn't. So are you going to answer me or not? Since when?'
'Me, Quinn and Santana used to fool around after football games and get wasted, but one night Santana ditched Quinn for me and ever since she's hated my guts.'
'Well...that's news to me.'
'She'd never admit it, but she used to love my dick. Not that I blame her, it's beautiful.'
'Can you tell that I'm rolling my eyes? Because I just did.'
'You're always rolling your eyes at me. It's like you don't take me seriously.'
'How offended would you be if I told you most of the time I don't?'
'Not very, not even my own mother takes me seriously.'
'But the question is...does anyone?'
'Alex.' *
'Of course he does.'
'I once told him Puck was gay. That was a fun time.'
'Shit. That guy is a fucking dumbass though.'
'Hey, but he's a sexy dumbass.'
'He's good enough to get you off.'
'Yeah....not recently.'
'Oh?'
'Honestly? Puck was right, I can't even get it up with a lap dance from one of the most flamboyant guys at our school. And I like me some flamboyance.'
'Like I said earlier. That's a new one, Anderson.'
'Fucking frustrating. Since a couple days ago I've just been stiff. Not even yaoi porn turns me on anymore.'
'Now, if I was in the mood...I would ask if I could come over to try to fix that. But I'm not and I need to get out of my house. So then that leads to me coming over.'
'Come over then, I'm bored as shit as well as high as shit.'
'Address? That way I actually know where I'm going.'
'38 Maveland Dr. It's the big house with a motorcycle in the driveway.'
'Well, Anderson. See you in about 15.' Kurt sends before getting up. Grabbing a beanie from the dresser. He grabs his Converse and tugs them on. Seeing Quinn on the couch when he walks through the living room, he kisses her head. "I'm going out."
"Where?" She asks, looking up at him.
"Out." He responds. "Not sure when or if I'll be back. Bye." He gets out before Quinn can question him anymore. Grabbing his keys off the hook, he heads outside.
Blaine checked his watch as he tugged on a looser white v-neck to lounge in and hung up his leather jacket. He changed his jeans into loose sweatpants that drooped over his ankles. He was about to send Kurt another text with directions before he heard a car pull into the driveway.
Well...that was quicker than I thought. Kurt thought as he pulled into the driveway. After parking his car and turning the engine off, Kurt walks up to the door and presses the doorbell jumping a bit on the balls of his feet, already feeling the cold seeping through his clothes.
Blaine strolled down the hallway towards the front door where the doorbell was ringing. He opened up the door wide and grinned. "Hey, come on in it must be freezing outside."
"Thanks." Kurt shivers. "I should've brought my coat." He mumbles as he blows into his hands.
"You should've kept mine." Blaine closes the door behind him as Kurt enters the house. "I'll take you up to my room, the rest of the house has office crap everywhere." He nods his head towards a grand stairwell and starts to walk up with Kurt behind him.
"I told you I have my own." Kurt retorts. "I just choose not to wear them sometimes." He admits, shrugging. "But are you going to keep me warm?" He teases, looking up at Blaine through his eyelashes.
Blaine chuckled with amusement as he leads Kurt to his bedroom. "Maybe, but I'm not very sure how to keep someone warm without sticking my cock up their ass."
"Oh wait. That was me keeping you warm in my bed. Not the other way around." Kurt jokes before looking around the room. He hums as he starts to move towards the bed. "Comfortable." He informs Blaine, looking over his shoulder.
Blaine hums, crawling onto his bed and laying back. "Yep." He grunts, stretching out his arms. "This is probably where I spend most of my life."
"It seems like it." Kurt says as he sits down on the side of the bed then sprawls himself out. "You're staring Anderson." He points out as he stretches out.
"How can I not?" Blaine winks.
"Oh really now?" Kurt asks honestly as he sits himself back up to look at Blaine, beanie falling off his head.
"Well you're gorgeous." Blaine shrugs.
Kurt's lips turn up into a slight smile. "Thanks." He says before laying back down. "Now what about making me warm?"
Blaine shifts closer to Kurt with a grin, wrapping his arm around his waist and pulling him close to his own body. "Better?" He murmurs, pressing their noses together as he holds Kurt to his body.
"I guess this'll do." He teases before giving Blaine a chaste kiss. "But seeing as we aren't doing anything tonight, whatever will we do then?"
"You said you weren't in the mood, so I guess we can watch a movie." Blaine ignores the kiss and teasingly mentions, "or we could study."
"What subject?" Kurt asks sounding serious.
"Your ass." Blaine gave a hard smack to Kurt's ass suddenly.
"Since when is my anatomy a subject?" Kurt quirks an eyebrow. "Because I don't remember that class."
"I can teach it to you now." Blaine winks. "I can teach you all about your anatomy, babe."
"And remember how before I said I couldn't take you seriously?" Kurt leans in closer. "I wonder why that is."
"Oh come one." Blaine pouts, smoothing his hand over Kurt's ass and squeezing gently. "I just wanna make you feel good."
"I know you do." Kurt shrugs as he frowns. "But I'm not in the mood. You obviously always are though." He teases.
"I'm insatiable yes." Blaine sighs heavily. "But at least tell me why you aren't in the mood."
"Had to visit someone." Kurt sighs, shuffling closer. "But I don't wanna talk about it much. It's still a little too much to process right now."
Blaine shrugs. "Not to sound mushy, but I think it's best if you come to the reality of it. Just let it all out."
"Some other time if I want to. But I don't." Kurt says as he hides his face into Blaine's shirt, trying not to show the tears starting to form. "Not now."
"Shh, you don't have too." Blaine says gently, rubbing Kurt's back. "But you can cry, that's the best therapy."
"I hate to." Kurt admits, grabbing onto Blaine's shirt. "I don't like to. Never have."
Blaine strokes Kurt's hair and kisses his forehead. "Stop preventing yourself from what you need."
"I'm not." Kurt whines, picking his head and pouting. "I just don't like crying. I do cry, just not a lot."
Blaine kissed Kurt's pout gently. " I think a good cry is always good."
"It is." Kurt shrugs as he lays back down, cuddling into Blaine's embrace. "But I'm not going to. Alright?"
"Fine." Blaine wrapped his arms firmly around Kurt's waist and kept him close to his chest, pressing lazy kisses to his forehead.
Kurt tilts his head to kiss underneath Blaine's chin. As his lips press against the boy's skin, he chuckles. "I didn't notice your stubble growing in earlier." He places a few more kisses to the spot before moving down to Blaine's neck.
Blaine breathes out and pulls away from Kurt's lips. "Hey, hey. No more. You can't tease me like that."
Kurt pouts again before sighing out a, "Fine," and leaning his head on Blaine's chest.
Blaine smiles and nuzzles against the top of Kurt's hair, rubbing small circles with his fingers at the small of his back.
Kurt rubs his thumb over Blaine's chest, enjoying the peacefulness between the two. "Why are you attracted to me?" Kurt asks suddenly. "I was just wondering." Kurt picks his head up and places it on his now-crossed arms to look at Blaine.
Blaine shrugs. "Simple, you're hot, I like hot guys. I don't just sleep with every guy I see in the hallway."
"Just wondering." Kurt shrugs before returning to his position before, closing his eyes.
Blaine gazes down at Kurt, sliding his hand up the back of his shirt to feel at the soft skin. "I also love the way that you laugh, and your sarcastic humor."
Humming as Blaine slipped his hand into Blaine's shirt, Kurt comments, "I'm also a bitch." He smirks.
"No, you're defensive." Blaine slips his hand down to dip into Kurt's jeans. "But you're also loveable."
"Am I now?" Kurt asks. "I've been told that I have no heart and if I do then it's too cold for me to feel anything. Hmm. Thanks."
"Well they were wrong." Blaine rubs his lips against Kurt's forehead. "You have a warm heart, I can feel it." He whispers.
Kurt picks his head up again, blowing a loose piece of hair out of his face. "I really like your eyes." He admits, staring up at Blaine.
Blaine smiles. "I like your face." He leans down to press a soft kiss to Kurt's lips.
"Are we back in middle school now?" Kurt smiles as he jokes.
Blaine chuckles. "I hope not, I have much more control over my actions than I did in middle school."
"Well, seeing as you can barely keep control now," Kurt lets out a soft laugh, "I can see you being a problem child."
Blaine grins. "Which is why my parents sent me to a private school, they thought I'd keep my cock in my pants for a change."
"Ahh. So you were a preppy." Kurt scrunches his nose. "I can't see you in a uniform."
"I looked pretty good." Blaine shrugs his shoulders. "I never used to be like I am now to tell you the truth, I was pretty conservative."
"We all change." Kurt shrugs. "I wasn't always a cold-hearted bitch. But people go through shit."
Blaine hums. "But some people won't tell other people what that shit is..." He rubs his hand along Kurt's side.
"Oh shut up." Kurt rolls his eyes. "If you bring it up again, I won't kiss you. I would say that I'll leave, but I'm really comfortable right now."
"It's because you're with me." Blaine presses a kiss to Kurt's nose, resting his head on his arm as he gazes down at him. "Can you at least tell me why Quinn lives with you or is that a secret too?"
"I won't tell you the full story because part of it isn't for me to tell. But, a couple years back, before both her and I changed, she was kicked out of her house. She lived with Finn for a bit and then she lived with Mercedes for a while after that. Last year I asked her to move in. I was alone in my house and her and I grew closer. So to me, it was the best thing to do for both of us. She didn't want to be a bother to the Jones'--although I already know that she wasn't--and like I said, I was alone. So she's lived with me ever since."
Blaine nodded, taking the information in. "So speaking of that, where's your dad? Why do you live alone?"
"He's-...he's away right now." Kurt says.
Blaine raises an eyebrow. "Away?"
"Away." Kurt repeats. "He's been here-and-there since last year. He's been visiting family." Kurt lies.
"Ah. So I guess we both have distant dads." Blaine sighs. "At least yours is off your back."
"Yeah." Kurt says quietly, laying his head down on his arms.
"I'd fucking kill to live alone without parents," Blaine continues. "Sometimes I wish my father was dead just so I can take a breath without someone threatening me."
"I'm sorry." Kurt says as he rubs one of his thumbs against Blaine's chest. "You shouldn't have to go through that shit." He tells the other boy honestly, moving his hand to kiss the spot he was rubbing.
Blaine takes Kurt's hand and intertwined their fingers, bringing them up to his lips to kiss Kurt's knuckles. "It's fine, again, I've toughened up and I can take plenty care of myself."
"Still," Kurt shrugs, "I've had people to help me through some shit. And even if you can take care of yourself, you still need at least one person there with you."
"Well I'd have my mother, but I don't think I'm part of her life anymore." Blaine frowns before rubbing his face and sitting up. "I hate getting mushy, let's cut this shit and make out or something."
Kurt lets out an, 'oof' as Blaine sits up. "Can we at least lay down?" Kurt wines. "I don't wanna move."
Blaine rolls his eyes and pats his lap. "You can sit on me, c'mere."
"No." Kurt pouts, tugging a bit on Blaine's shirt. "Please?" He looks up at Blaine through his lashes.
Blaine stared at Kurt for a moment before releasing a breath. "You know, you're lucky you're so fucking cute." He lays back down and gathers Kurt up in his arms.
"Yay." Kurt smiled before cupping Blaine's face and leaning in to kiss Blaine.
Blaine holds Kurt waist as he kisses back, moving their lips together and slipping his tongue through to part Kurt's lips.
Kurt moans into the kiss, putting more pressure against Blaine's lips. He slides his hand down Blaine's face to grab onto his shirt.
Blaine exhales as he opens Kurt's mouth and shoves his tongue into his mouth, sliding his hands back up his shirt and caressing his stomach.
"Shirts off?" Kurt asks as he pulls back after minutes of slow kisses.
"Mm, please." Blaine mumbles, removing his embrace around Kurt to pull his shirt up and over his head, tossing it before tugging on the hem of Kurt's.
Kurt slides his flannel off his shoulders before pulling his own shirt off. "And I'm still fucking cold." He breathes out before going back in to kiss Blaine.
"That can be fixed." Blaine pushes Kurt onto his back and gets on top of him, crashing their lips together and kissing him passionately with tongue, while his hands rubbed up and down his chest, brushing over his erect nipples.
Kurt moans at Blaine's touch as he wraps his arms around the other boy's neck. "We can't seem to keep to ourselves." Kurt chuckles before nipping at Blaine's bottom lip. "That might become a problem."
"A problem or a pleasure." Blaine mumbles against his lips, peppering kisses down to his jaw, then to his neck, and to his collarbone where he nips and sucks as he pleases.
Kurt lets out a breathy moan as one of his hands find their way up into Blaine's curls. "Could be both." Kurt tells him in between his moans.
Blaine groans softly as Kurt's fingers stroke through his hair, and he moves back up to suck onto Kurt's neck roughly, biting down onto it so he could feel the skin pulse beneath his teeth.
Kurt tugs Blaine back up to his face before flipping them over. Once on top of Blaine, Kurt starts to kiss along Blaine's jaw before bringing his lips back to Blaine's.
Blaine's fingers stroke along Kurt's back and dip down to grab his ass under his jeans, breathing out a moan as he grasps the fabric of his boxers under his fingertips and sucked onto Kurt's bottom lip.
Kurt groans, tearing his mouth away from Blaine's to lean his head on his shoulder. He whines and starts to press lingering kisses against his neck as Blaine tightens his grip on Kurt's ass.
Blaine hums as his head falls back to the mattress, dipping his fingers underneath his boxers and grabbing at the flesh of his ass roughly.
"You're such a handsy person." Kurt tells Blaine as he groans into his neck and scratches against the boy's chest lightly.
Blaine lets out a low laugh. "I really can't help it, your body is like a statue, except so fleshy." He starts to toy with Kurt's zipper before slowly unzipping his jeans.
Kurt picks himself up before kissing Blaine. "No." He says softly against Blaine's lips.
Blaine snorts. "I know you want it, stop being a tease." He shoves his hand inside Kurt's jeans to rub at his groin.
Kurt pulls back completely. "No." He says again.
"Oh my god." Blaine sighs out in frustration. "Why are you so fucking stubborn?"
"I just-...I'm sorry." Kurt brings his legs up to his chest, missing Blaine's warmth already. "I-...you wanted to know my shit earlier, right?"
"Yes..." Blaine says, unsure.
"I'm not telling you everything." Kurt informs Blaine before sighing. "It's just-it's a bad subject for me. Alright?"
Blaine nods. "Just tell me, you can trust me."
Kurt a deep breath before wrapping his arms around his legs. "Like I said before, I wasn't always like this." Kurt begins. "I've been bullied for, as long as I can remember. It was just teasing and names first. Well, as we all grew up, the bullying got a lot worse. Still just teasing and names, but now they actually knew what it all meant. All of this because I didn't like girls and I liked to spend my time with the girls more than I did with the guys. Going into freshman year was hell." He admits, tears starting to build up behind his eyes. "It was as if everyone just...knew. They started to become more creative--well, as creative as they could get--with they they bullied me. Locker shoves, dumpster tosses, slushies. God I do not miss those. But it kept getting worse, and worse, and worse.
"I'm pretty sure last year was the most fun I had." Kurt says sarcastically as he sniffles and wipes a few stray tears off his face. "I came home in bruises and different clothes everyday. I stayed home for a couple of days because I couldn't move without pain shooting up my back, no matter what I did." Kurt chuckles. "But, uhm, after my dad went away, I was truly alone. I guess he was able to sense it, but Karofsky just keep pushing the line. Harder shoves and more frequent slushies. He made this hell even worse. But I-...I decided to confront him one day in the beginning of the year. But we, uhm, we yelled back-and-forth. Them he-he just kissed me. After getting over my initial shock, I pushed him away, but he just-just went back in again." Kurt says as he chokes back a sob, looking down at his knees, not bothering to glance up at Blaine. "He threatened me a couple of days after. Saying if I told anyone, he would kill me. But he also kept coming back. God, I hated myself. I hated that I wasn't strong enough then to completely push him off. I was able to fight him off one day. I got a few good hit in." He grins. "But I-...it was a really low point for me and I just didn't want to remember. I'm sorry." He finishes, looking up at Blaine finally.
Blaine's facial expression was contorted into a look of complete agony and pain for Kurt as he listened to his story. And his 'macho man' complexion slivered back as he sat up and listened, just listen to Kurt as he poured his heart out. He felt his awful twinge of sympathy in his stomach, something he never allowed himself to feel before. And he reached across to place a hand on Kurt's knee, look directly into his eyes as he tried to conjure up something to say. But he had no idea where to begin. There was this...knot in his stomach as he watched Kurt become so vulnerable, he felt nauseated with butterflies in his stomach. He swallowed thickly as he finally blurted into the silent bedroom, "I'm so, so sorry, Kurt. You didn't deserve any of that and I wish I could relate but things are much different for me..." He hates to hear his voice so sincere, it terrifies him. "I...I don't really know what else to say..." He gulps.
"Can we lie down?" Kurt asks as the tears start to fall. "I just-...can we?"
Blaine nods silently and lays back down onto his back, holding his arms out for Kurt.
Kurt lays down next to Blaine, curling himself into the boy's side. "I don't wanna cry on you." Kurt laughs lightly as he wipes at his tears.
Blaine wraps a protective arm around Kurt's waist and pulls him close with a warm smile. "Don't worry about it." He murmurs. "I'm right here if you need to."
"Thank you." Kurt whispers, leaning up to kiss Blaine's cheek. "Not just for being here." He smiles. "But, for tonight." He lays his head back down onto Blaine's chest.
"Of course." Blaine strokes his fingers through Kurt's hair, massaging his scalp. "I don't know why, but...I have this soft spot for you."
"I'll keep that in mind." Kurt's smile grows as he puts an arm across Blaine's waist, somehow moving closer. Kurt hums as Blaine's hand works at his head. "I used to never let people touch my hair." Kurt laughs, remembering his past self. "God I was such a drama queen then." He admits.
"That's not as bad as my past self," Blaine mumbles. "I used to pretend to be straight."
"I did that once." Kurt giggles, as he buries his face into Blaine's shoulder. "Everyone saw right through it though. Except, Brit." He shakes his head before shifting it again. "I went back to my normal self though. But what about you?" Kurt asks, sitting up slightly to look into Blaine's eyes. "Are you yourself?"
Blaine stares up at the ceiling, contemplating his answer for a moment. "I still pretend I like girls," he says with a sigh. "I can't be myself even if I wanted to be."
"But you are." Kurt whispers before sighing and looking away. "God that sounded cheesy."
Blaine half smiles. "No, it didn't. I may be gay, Kurt, but I can never act as it."
Kurt quirks an eyebrow as he looks down at the boy. "You seemed fine acting on it before." He teases. "But I know. I don't understand, right?" He says seriously.
Blaine turns his head towards where a picture frame sat on his night stand. "I meant not at home."
Kurt kisses Blaine's cheek before placing himself back at Blaine's side, staying silent for a while. He tries to calm his racing heart since he's sure that Blaine can both hear and feel it. Well, until he starts shivering. "Am I staying here or going back home?" Kurt asks.
"Whichever." Blaine shrugs, turning his head to look at Kurt. "Are you okay? You seem jittery."
"I'm cold." Kurt frowns. "And if I'm staying here, I need clothes. Or at least a shirt. If not, I should head home soon."
"Stay." Blaine heaves himself off the bed to walk over to his closet. "I'll get you something." He rummages through hangers before taking out an old shirt from his old school and tossing it onto the bed along with sweatpants.
"Thank you." Kurt says before standing up and stretching. Seeing as he didn't fix the zipper before, Kurt shimmies out of his jeans, kicking them off and pulling the sweatpants on. "You're staring again, Anderson." Kurt teases as he pulls the shirt over his head.
Blaine was leaning against the closet door when his lips tugged up in a half smirk. "Again, how can I not?" He walks over to Kurt and pushes up his shirt, getting on his knees to kiss his stomach and grab his waist. "Have I ever told you that you're gorgeous naked?" He stares up at Kurt under long eyelashes.
"Does you telling me I have a bigger dick than Alex count?" Kurt asks. "Because if not, I don't recall it."
Blaine laughs. "Well you are, you're so perfect in every shape and form." He nuzzles his cheek against Kurt's lower stomach before bumping his nose against Kurt's waistband.
"I feel like that's what I should be telling you." Kurt sighs as he looks down at the other boy. "Up." He pats Blaine's shoulder. When Blaine stands up, Kurt pulls him in for a long kiss. "I've never been told that before." Kurt admits as he pulls back and rests his head against Blaine's.
Blaine stares into Kurt's bright blue eyes as he whispers. "Well you deserve to know it. You really are perfect."
"Thank you." Kurt says as he bumps his nose against Blaine's. Coming from Blaine, Kurt accepts what he tells him. He doesn't understand why. He just...does. How can he not when he stares into Blaine's eyes and feels that fluttering in his own stomach? "We should go back to the bed."
Blaine takes Kurt's hand as he agrees and climbs back onto the bed, laying back and tugging Kurt on top of him before pulling the covers over the two of them.
"Don't be surprised if I'm still here in the morning, yeah?" Kurt teased lightly as he yawns. "Damn. What time is it?"
"Around eleven." Blaine smiles but sadly adds, "And you'd be the first if you stayed through the night."
"It's early." Kurt says around a yawn. "And you're the first to let me stay." Kurt admits as he snuggles onto Blaine. "Now we're even."
Blaine holds Kurt close and rests his head on his hair. "We are." He pauses for a moment, needing to say something desperately but he wasn't sure exactly what to say. "I...." He frowned and gulped, losing his train of thought.
"You what?" Kurt mumbles before his breathing starts to slowly even out as sleep takes over him.
Blaine's eyes train on the ceiling as his mind races, his fingers clenching where they were resting on Kurt's arm. His muscles tightening as he feels something wash over himself. He waits until the room fills with soft breathing, and he blurted it out. "I love you."
Kurt slowly blinks himself awake and nuzzles into the body underneath him. The familiar smell filling his nose as he remembers the night before. Blaine. He went over to Blaine's house. He tightens his grip that he has around the boy's middle. He picks his head up and rubs an eye with the heel of his free hand. This isn't a surprise. He thinks as he sees Blaine still fast asleep. He put his head back down, shifting himself as the grip around his own waist tightens. Kurt feels tiredness washing over him as he sighs. It isn't for a while until Kurt wakes up again when he feels stirring underneath him.
Blaine is deep in sleep, one of his ongoing nightmares about his father playing in his mind as he restlessly tries to break himself out of the horror of the dream.
Kurt sits up when he starts to hear Blaine let out small whimpers. "Blaine." He says softly, trying to shake the other boy awake.
Blaine's fingers clutch at the sheets below him, and as his vision begins to blur he awakes with a jolt, his familiar bedroom coming to sight. Before he could fully awaken he finds Kurt's neck immediately to shove his face into and let out a low, distressed groan.
Kurt hugs Blaine close, whispering, "I'm here," into his ear while trying to sooth Blaine's trembling body.
Blaine's eyes, which had squeezed shut, flutter open as he tilts his head to see Kurt's thin, pink lips curved into a comforting smile. His racing heartbeat seems to calm down to a normal pace at Kurt's words, and all he could do was nod in his exhausted state and rest his head back at his neck, his mind replaying the horrors of his nightmare over, and over again.
Kurt hugs Blaine closer to him when the other boy lays his head back down on his shoulder. He repeats, "I'm here," a couple more times before Blaine completely relaxes in his arms. "You okay?" Kurt asks as he pulls back slightly to look at Blaine.
Blaine makes out a small muffled response but soon shakes his head as his hand rests against Kurt's chest, and he breathes out a shaky sigh. "I'm sorry....bad dream..."
"Hey, hey. Look at me." Kurt tilts head up and waits until Blaine is looking back at him to say anything. "It's okay. People get bad dreams. But I'm here aren't I? I'm right here." He says as he leans his head against Blaine's and kisses his nose.
Blaine's stomach flips as Kurt's lips press to his nose in the most soothing way. He nods slowly and stares up into Kurt's eyes, swimming in the gorgeous blue and almost getting carried away with his gazing. He must be exhausted, because this was not him, this was not how he acted.
Kurt holds onto Blaine until he starts to pull back. "You okay?" Kurt asks again.
"I'm fine." Blaine says with a firm voice, pulling away from Kurt's embrace and slipping off the bed. "I'm going to take a shower, I'll be back."
"Alright." Kurt says, trying to hide his disappointment in voice. "I should call Quinn anyway." He sighs before mumbling, "I just hope she hasn't worried."
Blaine left the room without another word, needing to feel like himself again instead the damsel in distress crap that he was portraying. He hated being vulnerable. Hated it. And the fact that he did it in front of Kurt Hummel of all people was humiliating. He gets into his shower, strips off his clothes, and lets the boiling hot water steam his body and relax his tense muscles.
Kurt sits up after Blaine leaves the room, walking over to his jeans to pull his phone out of one of the pockets of his flannel. Pressing the home button, the screen stays black. Shit. He thinks as he presses on the lock button to turn it on. Nothing. With a groan, he flops back onto the bed.
Blaine showers off the conditioner in his hair and turns off the water, grabbing a towel from the closet and wrapping it around his waist until it sagged over the 'V' of his hips. He strolled back into his bedroom and ignores Kurt's form on his bed, starting to put on his deodorant and cologne.
"Can I borrow your phone?" Kurt asks suddenly. "Mine died."
"Yeah, sure." Blaine finds his leather jacket on the ground and rummages through one of the pockets to find his phone. He tosses it onto the bed. "The passcode is Mary."
Kurt replies with a small, "Thanks," before going unlocking the phone and going into Blaine's contacts to find Quinn. Not bothering to leave a message when her phone goes to voicemail, Kurt opens a new text. 'If you're awake, it's Kurt. In case you tried to call or something, my phone died.'
'Oooh, Hummel slept with Anderson. 'Tana likey.'
"Fucking..." Kurt grumbles out before typing out a reply. 'We did nothing, Satan. Can you just tell Quinn since I'm pretty sure you stayed over.'
'Shes in the shower but yes, I'm sure she'll just be thrilled with the news that you spent the night with the exact boy she's wishing you won't start regularly sleeping with.'
'Didn't I just say we didn't do anything? Tell her I'll see her later. If she doesn't get too pissed at me like she does. Bye Satan.'
'Fine, fine. See ya Hummel. Wear protection.'
Kurt groans before placing the phone next to him on the bed. "Thanks." Kurt says before adding, "Again." He sits up and rubs his eyes, feeling his hair lay flat against his head. "Great." He mumbles to himself.
"What's up?" Blaine asks, removing the towel from his waist and tossing it somewhere on the ground as he searches through his drawers for a pair of boxers.
"It's nothing." Kurt shakes his head. "But I should probably leave soon." He admits before muttering, "It's about fifteen minutes to get back. Quinn and Santana will still be there and I need to charge my phone and take a shower. Then I would have to get ready and-"
"You can always take a shower here." Blaine shrugs before turning to Kurt as he sees he's stopped mid-sentence. "Get ready and what?"
Kurt sighs. "See-..." He starts to say before catching himself. "Nothing." He breathes out before remembering. "I don't have clothes."
Blaine hums and turns to push away some clothes in his dresser drawers, grabbing a black v-neck and tight regular blue jeans. He tosses them to Kurt. "Will these do? I know you wouldn't dare leave the house looking anything but fashionable."
"How thoughtful." Kurt rolls his eyes before standing up and grabbing his flannel off the floor. "Which way?" He asks.
"First door on the right." Blaine answers.
Opening the door to Blaine's room he stops and turns. "Nice ass, Anderson." He winks before continuing out the door.
As Kurt leaves the room Blaine lets out a hearty laugh, shouting back, "Thanks!" He tugs on underwear and a loose fitting shirt before crawling back into bed and burying himself under the covers.
In the shower, Kurt changes from song-to-song as he washes up. Humming, he finishes up and steps out and grabs a towel to dry himself off. Not bothering with his underwear, Kurt tugs the borrowed jeans on. He walks back into the room, towel-drying his hair as he holds the clothes in one hand. "I'll wash these when I get home, Sleeping Beauty." Kurt says as he takes the towel off his head.
"Mhm..." Blaine turns to Kurt and puckers his lips. "Don't I get a goodbye kiss baby?"
Kurt crawls onto the bed and straddles Blaine. He leans in to kiss him before stopping right before his their lips touched. "Who says that I'm leaving yet?" He whispers.
"You said you had to leave soon." Blaine pouts, eyes flickering between Kurt's lips and his own eyes.
"I said that I should." Kurt corrects him with a grin, noting Blaine looking down at his lips. "I never said that I had to."
Blaine licks his lips. "So you'll stay my beautiful?"
"Fine." Kurt sighs playfully. "But I should probably put on those shirts. I think it's obvious that I get cold easily." He laughs lightly before climbing off of Blaine.
Blaine grabs him before he can leave the bed and flips them over to pin him to the mattress. "Oh no, I like you bare." He grins.
"But I'm cold." Kurt whines before he pouts. "Please?" He continues to pout while he tries to wiggle away from Blaine.
Blaine wiggles his eyebrows. "We can go under the covers."
"Oh really now?" Kurt asks sarcastically. "I didn't know that that was an option, Mister No-Pants."
"Pants restrict the anaconda." Blaine points out, leaning in to whisper into his ear. "And he doesn't like that very much." With a chuckle he nips at Kurt's earlobe and pulls back. "If I can be honest, I didn't agree to this friends with benefits thing so we can have social hour. I want to have sex with you."
"I thought that we weren't friends." Kurt says looking up at Blaine before grinning. "And 'the anaconda'? Did you really just say that?" He laughs.
"I did. And we are." Blaine presses a kiss to Kurt's lips. "So how about we naked and disgrace the whole house."
Kurt pushes himself up and trails his hand down from Blaine's chest to his stomach. "I think I'm beating you to it." He says before kissing Blaine.
Blaine smirks as he reaches to unzip Kurt's jeans and slide them down his thighs, hands caressing at the muscles as he starts to deepen their kiss.
Kurt moans as Blaine's tongue grazes his lips before entering his own. Minutes fly by with heated kisses before Kurt pulls back. "You need to be more naked." Kurt informs Blaine as he kisses below his ear. "Considering the fact that once these jeans come off, I'll be really fucking naked." He whispers into Blaine's ear.
Blaine's eyebrow raises. "You're not wearing underwear huh?" An amused grin spreads across his lips as he tugs the jeans down Kurt's legs and feels around, groping as he pleases. "The boy likes commando, who would have known." He arches up his back to tug off his shirt and sits them both up. "Boxers next, unless you would like to do the honors?"
"Hmmm," Kurt hums as his fingers play with the elastic before his hands slip under and grab onto Blaine's ass, "don't mind if I do." He replies.
Blaine exhales as cold, slender fingers grip onto his flesh. "Naughty boy," he teases.
"And you know it." Kurt winks before leaning down to bite against Blaine's neck. "Now are you going to let me get these off of you or are you just going to sit here?"
Blaine rolls his eyes, letting out a grunt as he detaches Kurt, and his teeth, from his body and lays back in front of Kurt.
"Thanks you." Kurt says sweetly before kissing Blaine's lips. He then trailed his lips down from Blaine's lips down his body, sucking on a few spots and biting a few others. Finally he starts to tug on the elastic of Blaine's boxers before tugging them down.
Blaine sits up immediately once he's stripped of his last piece of clothing and grabs Kurt by his waist to tackle him back down on the bed.
Kurt lets out a small 'oof' before chuckling. "Someone's a little eager, aren't we?" Kurt quirks up an eyebrow as he asks.
"Mm, always." Blaine swoops down and captures Kurt's lips with his own, his hands immediately exploring Kurt's body now that he has him completely exposed underneath him. He cups his cheeks and slips in between his legs to grind his hips down against him.
Kurt moans as he arches his back slightly before rolling his hips against Blaine's.
Blaine moves down from Kurt's lips to leave marks on his neck, sucking and biting all while grinding down onto Kurt and pinning him down with his body weight. He starts to leave hickeys that scatter along his collarbone when one hand reaches to wrap around the base of Kurt's cock and slowly start stroking up and along his length.
"Fuck." Kurt grunts, leaning his head back against the pillows as his hands make their way down to Blaine's back. "Shit." He groans, scratching lightly against Blaine's shoulders.
Blaine lets out a grunt against Kurt's neck when sharp fingernails drag down his back. He starts to suck right below Kurt's pulse point as his fist pumps faster around Kurt.
"Blaine." He breathes out, bringing one hand to the back Blaine's head, holding him close as he continues to suck against his neck.
Blaine groans as his name slips off of Kurt's tongue in the sexiest, breathy tone. He licks over the small purplish mark that's forming on Kurt's neck, and starts to stroke him with a rapid pace, watching as he falls apart beneath him.
"I-..." Kurt moans, feeling the familiar pooling in his stomach, "I'm close."
Blaine leans up to rest their foreheads together, staring straight into Kurt's wide eyes as he tightens his fist and pumps his fast. "Then come." He commands.
After a few more strokes, Kurt mewls out Blaine's name and comes over his hand.
Blaine strokes Kurt as he spills all over his closed fist, letting him relax down onto the bed before climbing off of him to wipe his hand on a tissue, tossing it away and laying back down aside Kurt.
Kurt turns so he's facing Blaine. "Hello there." He smiled tiredly.
Blaine smiles back. "Hi." He opened his mouth to add a comment when his phone went off, a loud vibration sound filling the room. He searches, finding his phone on the floor and snatches it to see a text that makes his whole face fall to a scowl.
Kurt sits up and crawls over to where Blaine is sitting on the edge of the bed. "Everything alright?" He asks as he kisses the side of Blaine's neck.
Blaine stares down at his phone, taking a deep breath. "No." He shakes his head, sliding his hand up Kurt's cheek to caress his face. "I'm sorry but you have to go."
Kurt frowns before he sighs, giving another kiss to Blaine's neck. "Alright." He says as he pulls back. "I'm still going to wash your clothes at my house." Kurt informs him, tugging the discarded jeans on. "If you can or if you want to, you can come over." Tugging the borrowed shirt, he adds, "Even to pick your stuff up. I don't think Quinn'll be home later because she's probably not happy that I stayed over here." He says, looking around. "Do you know where my hat is?" He asks.
"I put it on the dresser." Blaine answers, hurrying to tug his own clothes on and fixing his shirt so it tucks into his pants, buttoning up the top buttons of the royal blue dress shirt. "I'll come by tonight, okay? But I can't stay over."
"Thanks." Kurt kisses Blaine's cheek after finding his hat and pulling it onto his head. "Text or call me to let me know when you're coming, yeah?" He asks as he walks out the door. I'll show myself out so you can finish spiffing yourself up." Kurt gives a quick peck to Blaine's lips before turning to walk down the stairs.
Blaine nods sadly without a word, his mind racing with too many thoughts. He watches as Kurt leaves bedroom and follows out once he's gone to enter his bathroom. He takes out a tube of hair gel and starts to tame his wild curls, molding them back from his forehead. He hears the garage door of the house set off with a buzz, and hurries over to the door to check if Kurt's car is still in the driveway.
It's gone. Thank goodness. And with that he starts to leave his bedroom when he sees a flannel piece of fabric sticking out from under his bed. He leans down and grabs it to inspect the odd shirt, quickly realizing with the scent of vanilla and just that hint of 'Kurt' that it must belong to the brunette. He smiles to himself and stuffs it into his backpack before heading downstairs to greet his parents.
Kurt sighs as he pulls into his driveway, seeing Santana's car gone. "Quinn?" He yells into the house after he unlocked the door and entered. No response. By the looks of it, Kurt'll be spending another day alone in the house with Quinn being gone all day since she's probably pissed at him. After hanging his keys up, he heads downstairs to his room to plug his phone in and turn his computer on.
Opening Spotify on his computer, he clicks on one of playlists to start playing. With Marianas Trench playing as he lays down on his bed, he looks at his phone and watches it turn on. He rolls his eyes when he sees that he got nothing from Quinn the night before. I love the girl. He reminds himself.
Blaine had to live through another depressing brunch with his parents after they arrived home from their night out. They brought home strangers, of course, what else is new. The strangers were businessmen who Blaine's father felt he'd be greatly interested in talking to. He was only the opposite. After hours of torture and pretending to be sane, he stripped off the ugly clothes he was forced into and grabbed his usual black decor and backpack. He told his parents briefly that he was going to a friends house and ran out the door before they could object. He made his way to Kurt's house in ten minutes, which was because he was speeding to get away from his house. He parked in the driveway and walked up the steps to his front door, giving a sharp knock.
"Shit." Kurt mutters as he takes the pan off the stove, turning the flame on low. "I'm right here." He yells from the other side of the door. He opens it quickly to reveal Blaine on the other side. "Please come in." Kurt tells him, opening the door more before stepping back. "I have to go back to the stove so you can come into the kitchen if you want." Kurt informs Blaine before jogging back the way he came.
Blaine had no time to get words in before Kurt was rushing back into the kitchen, and he followed after him swiftly while closing the door behind him first. He enters the kitchen with Kurt and sits down at the island they have in the middle, resting his hands on the counter and staying silent as he watches Kurt pace around, opening cabinets and shutting them, shoving things into the sink with a clatter.
"Sorry," Kurt apologizes, "Would you like something to eat?" He turns towards Blaine. "Hey. You okay?" Kurt asks before taking his things off the stove again and lowering the heat. "Blaine?"
Blaine's head snapped up before he remembered he wasn't alone, and his thoughts were drifting. "Uh. Yeah." He sniffles before getting off of the stool he was sitting on. "Can I ask you a question?"
"Yeah, of course." Kurt says, searching Blaine's face before taking a few steps closer.
Blaine swallows down his pride and starts to untuck his t-shirt from his jeans, lifting it up and asking in a small voice. "Does it look like I broke a rib?" He points to the bruise right above his abdomen and below his heart which spreads out in a large, fist shaped mark.
"Blaine." Kurt whispers before coming closer to inspect it. "I don't know much about broken ribs, but I know someone who does." Kurt looks into Blaine's eyes. "Can I call her?" He asks. "I won't ask her to come over. I'll just see what she says." Kurt cups cheek. "Alright, hon?"
Blaine would nod, but for some reason deep in his gut the only person he wanted touching or talking to him was Kurt, and as if he forgot to talk he shook his head rapidly, staring with deep worry into Kurt's eyes.
Kurt places his forehead against Blaine's, still looking into his honey eyes. "She's a nurse." Kurt tells him. "I trust her. She will just be on the phone with me. Okay, hon? Its would just to help me help you." He says.
Blaine forces himself to nod and rests his head on the cold counter, looking away from Kurt and hiding his flushing face into his arms.
Picking his phone off the other side of the counter, Kurt makes the phone call. "Hi...I-....I know it's been awhile....I actually need you help.....No, there's no need to come over......My friend-he hurt himself....I remember all the basic stuff you taught me...Hold on. Blaine. Blaine, honey." Kurt rubs at the boy's shoulder. I need to look at the spot, okay? And you need to help me out here."
Blaine glumly looks up and sits up straight to lift his shirt again, wincing as he tried to breath shallowly so his ribs didn't have to expand.
"Thank you." Kurt whispers and kisses Blaine's cheek before going back to the phone. "It's really bruised....I-I don't know." He sighs, getting frustrated with himself. "Hold on." He say into the phone. "Blaine, Blaine honey. Are you willing to talk on the phone? She just wants to help you. I just want to help you. Please, let me help you." Kurt cups his cheek again, stroking his thumbs to brush stray tears away.
Blaine stayed silent until Kurt's soft hands brushed away tears, and he leaned into the touch while extending his hand for the phone. "Fine."
"Thank you." Kurt says, kissing Blaine quickly. "Yeah...he's right here...Goodbye...I'll talk to you after." He sighs bringing the phone away from his ear. "Here. I'm going to go turn the stove off, okay? I'll be back in less than a minute, okay?"
Blaine watches Kurt intently before putting the phone to his ear and croaking out. "Hello?"
"Hi, are you Kurt's friend?" A female voice asks tenderly.
"Yeah..."
"I just wanted to make sure." She says. "Kurt told you I'm a nurse right? I just want to let you know that although this is over the phone, I'm still trying out my best. Okay?"
Blaine nods, but then remembers she can't see him. "Okay."
"What's your name, dear?" She asks.
"Blaine."
"Okay, Blaine." She starts sweetly. "I'm Carole. Is Kurt back over?" She asks.
"Yeah." Blaine answers in a small voice, starting to feel dizzy.
"Make sure he keeps an eye on you, okay?" She informs him "Now, have Kurt push down on the spot. I know it'll hurt, but Kurt's gentle. And I can tell he's worried so he'll make sure he is."
Blaine decides to set the phone on speaker so Kurt could hear Carole's directions. He set the phone on the counter and looked up at Kurt with his shirt raised, preparing himself for the pressure.
Kurt starts to press around the bruised area, apologizing every time Blaine lets out a hiss. "Here?" He asks softly, looking up at Blaine as he starts to put pressure on another spot on his chest.
Blaine yelps and grabs onto Kurt's wrist tightly to stop the pressure. "Yes," he grits softly as he coaxes himself through the pain.
"Blaine, honey." Kurt cups his cheek. "I-...I should take you to the hospital."
"Kurt's right, dear." Carole says through the phone. "They can do more than Kurt can."
"No." Blaine sets down the phone and gets off the stool with a painful groan. "I'm not going to the hospital."
"Please." Kurt whispers as he stands up and cups Blaine's face. "Please. I want to make sure you're okay."
Blaine removes Kurt's hold on his face. "I'm not going to the hospital." He says sternly. "Got it?"
Kurt sighs before turning to the phone. "Carole, tell me how to help him."
"You need ice and medicine, honey." She informs Kurt, hearing him rummage around the kitchen. "Now Blaine, make sure to cough every once in awhile. Okay? And keep taking deep breaths."
"Great." Blaine replies in a monotone voice.
"It may also seem like a bad idea, but lay down on the side that you hurt, okay?" Carole tells Blaine. "This will help you."
"Take this." Kurt says sternly as he hands Blaine a glass of water and an Aspirin. "Should we wrap it or something?" He asks Carole.
"No. I know a lot of people do that and you might see doctors doing it, but it can stop him from breathing deeply."
Blaine swallows down the aspirin and looks up at Kurt with a distressed expression. "Do I have to lay down?"
Kurt nods sadly before giving a soft kiss to Blaine's lips. "I'll lay down with you if you want me to." He whispers before turning his attention to the phone. "Thank you, Carole. I'll call if I need help again."
"Goodbye you two. I hope you feel better soon, Blaine." She says before the line goes dead.
Blaine grabs onto Kurt's arm as he starts to walk out of the kitchen, dragging him with him so he can lay down immediately.
"I'll be right back, okay?" Kurt says as he pushes Blaine's curls out of his face as he lays down. "I'm just going to go grab an ice pack out of the freezer and a dish towel. Alright?"
Blaine lays down on Kurt's bed and curls up in the fetal position.
Kurt kisses the top of Blaine's head before getting up and rushing to the kitchen where he grabs a towel and one of the ice packs. "Shit." He mutters as he nearly misses a step trying to get down to his bedroom. "Blaine, honey, I need you to take your shirt off." Kurt says when he sits next to Blaine on the bed.
Blaine groans and barely heaves himself into a sitting position, slowly removing his shirt. *
Kurt lays Blaine back down gently before putting the wrapped up ice pack onto the spot that hurt the most. Twenty on, twenty off. Kurt remembers as he places himself next to Blaine.
Blaine's eyes squeeze shut as the cold pack was pressed to his bruised rib. He covers his now flushed face and feels his eyes sting with tears. Don't you dare fucking cry.
Kurt lays quietly next to Blaine for a while until the silence is too much. "You're aloud to cry." Kurt whispers. "You're in pain. It's okay."
Blaine snorts. "I don't need to cry," he says hoarsely, but the tears are already welling up in the corner of his eyes, and he hates himself for it.
Kurt pushes himself up onto his elbow, trying not to move too much. "Bullshit." He whispers before wiping away Blaine's tears. "Didn't you just tell me last night it's good to cry sometimes? Well, I'm letting you know that is is. And that it won't make me think any less of you."
"I don't cry." Blaine responds, pushing away Kurt's hand and rubbing his eyes with a fist.
Kurt sighs sadly before looking at the time. "I need to take the ice pack off in another ten minutes." He informs Blaine before laying back down.
Blaine huffs, his hand sliding over the damage and pressing the eyes closer.
Ten minutes pass with Kurt taking the ice pack off and placing it on the bedside table next to him. "I'll be right back." Kurt says before he gets up off the bed.
"Okay." Blaine mumbles, grabbing a pillow and pressing it to his face as he feels warm tears dribble down his cheeks, and his breath turns ragged.
Kurt heads up the stairs and walks into the kitchen. Taking out two mugs, Kurt pours milk into them before sticking them into the microwave. Leaning against the counter, Kurt waits for the alarm to go off before carefully taking the mugs out. He reaches into a cabinet and takes out two packages of hot chocolate mix. After mixing them, Kurt takes the mugs down to his bedroom, putting one on each table. "It's still hot." Kurt says as he lays down next to Blaine, smoothing out his curls.
Blaine rolls over to lay on his back and look up at Kurt, removing the pillow and wiping away the stray tears on his cheeks.
Kurt lays on his side to face Blaine and cups Blaine's cheek, stroking his thumb against the tear-streaked skin. "I'm here." He whispers.
Blaine slides his hand over Kurt's and intertwines their fingers, pressing them to his cheek as he closes his eyes and breathes in and out slowly.
Kurt lays there, trying to comfort Blaine. "I'm sorry." He mutters before he can stop himself.
Blaine peeks one eye open. "For what?"
"I didn't know what to do." He says honestly. "I hate not knowing what to do. I just wanted to help. So, thank you for letting me call Carole."
Blaine shrugs, occasionally closing his eyes to take a painful, deep breath. "I guess help is better than death." He murmurs.
Kurt stays quiet until he has to tell Blaine that he needs to put the ice pack back on. After placing it gently on his chest, Kurt reaches for his still warm hot chocolate before taking a small sip and placing it back down. He lays back on his side, hand resting on Blaine's stomach.
Blaine lets out a shaky sigh, still trying to prevent himself from crying, but the tears are rolling down faster then he can help. He starts to let out small whimpers, squeezing his eyes shut and gasping for air.
Kurt rubs his hand on Blaine's stomach to try to sooth him before sliding his arm across Blaine's middle and hugging him tightly.
The gesture reminded himself of his mother, soon enough Blaine turns over to hide his face in Kurt's shirt and let out a pathetic sob.
"It's okay," Kurt whispers against Blaine's curls, "you're safe here. You don't have to worry." He tells him as he carefully hugs Blaine closer to him.
Blaine releases the rest of his witheld sobs and tries to muffle them with Kurt's shirt. He trembles as the horrors of his mind come to life, and his 'accident' replays while he shakes violently in Kurt's arms.
Kurt holds Blaine tightly to his chest as Blaine breaks down against him. "Shh. I'm right here." He coos against his head. "I'm right here, honey."
Blaine intakes sharp breaths to try and calm himself down but depression keeps washing over his body and he can't help himself. Kurt's words calmed him somewhat, but he was still breaking down slowly as every tear he's restrained sheds onto his rosy red cheeks.
Kurt continues to try to sooth Blaine, rubbing circles on his back or pushing his curls back from his face. He keeps telling Blaine that he's here and that he's safe as he continues to break down. "You're safe here." Kurt tells hims again, kissing the tip of Blaine's nose.
Blaine clutches to Kurt once his sobs subside and he's left with a shaking body and a terrible throbbing pain in his chest. But the tears have stopped and he can finally open his eyes, his eyelashes having been shut with tears clinging to them.
Kurt stares at Blaine, concern written on his face as he strokes his fingers over Blaine's cheek and catching a few strays. "Do you want something to drink?" Kurt asks quietly.
Blaine shakes his head and nuzzles his head against Kurt's neck. "I don't want to be a bother," he whispers hoarsely.
"You aren't." Kurt assures him, kissing the top of his head. "I promise that you aren't."
"No I am." Blaine tries to sit up but hisses at his movement. "Ow, ow..."
"Honey." Kurt eases Blaine back on the bed and leans over him. "Please lay down. When I tell you you aren't being a bother, you aren't. Okay?" Kurt asks him with a stern voice. "Now honestly tell me, do you want something to drink?"
"No, I don't want you to leave." Blaine mumbles, clutching to Kurt's shirt. "Please don't leave me."
"I'm not going anywhere if you don't want me to." Kurt tells Blaine. "I'm not going anywhere." He repeats.
Blaine swallows down his pride and whispers, "thank you." He wraps his arms around himself. "Blanket?"
Kurt lifts himself off the bed and carefully brings it out from under Blaine. He wraps himself around the other boy again and pulls the blanket over them. "Is that better?
Blaine cuddles against Kurt with a serene smile as the warmth covers him. "Mhm." He hums, one hand resting over Kurt's heart, his head tucked into the crook of Kurt's neck for protection.
"Good." Kurt whispers as he strokes Blaine's side. "But I have to go take a piss, you better let me up." He informs Blaine.
Blaine chuckles under his breath and releases his grip from Kurt, laying fully on his back with his hands resting on his abdomen.
"Thank you." Kurt says as he shuffles out of the bed with a small smile and walks to the bathroom. A couple of minutes later, Kurt is walking out, drying his hands on his pants to get rid of the rest of the dampness. "Hi." He whispers when he's back at Blaine's side.
"Hey." Blaine clears his throat and runs his fingers through his own hair. "I'm sorry you have to see me like this."
"You don't need to apologize." Kurt says in return. "But I'm glad you let me help." He tells Blaine honestly, rubbing his side as he puts his arm across the boy's middle.
"Again, I'd rather help then death." Blaine shifts the icepack on his chest and grunts. "I'd also rather not die because of something I can't control."
Kurt plants a small kiss on Blaine's shoulder before saying, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
"I think I'd rather not, anyway." He turns and looks up at Kurt. "But I do trust you...for some strange reason."
Kurt blushes in surprise to what Blaine says. "Thank you." He says in a small voice. "But I understand. I've only told a couple of people about what I told you last night. So...I do."
Blaine nods slowly, reaching up to brush Kurt's cheek with the back of his hand. "And thank you for that."
"There's no need to thank me," Kurt says as he ducks his head, "really."
"No, I need to." Blaine attempts to sit up again and picks Kurt's chin up. "Nobody would ever do this for me, take care of me that is, and I don't know why in the hell you're doing it for me, but thank you."
"Lay down." Kurt sighs. "And I'm helping because I do care. We're...friends. I care for my friends." Kurt tells Blaine, but for some reason, using the term 'friends' makes his heart break. "I help them when I can. And now that we're friends, I'm going to be there for you when you want me there."
"Friends." Blaine repeats. "Do you and Quinn do this?"
"You have to be more specific, Blaine."
"Cuddle, kiss, embrace, have sex, flirt, all of the above that we've been doing?"
"Well, some yes." Kurt shrugs. "But seeing as I like dick, I'm pretty sure sex and other sexual things are out of the question with her. But her and I do cuddle and stuff."
"So then technically we're not friends." Blaine points out. "You and Puck are friends too, but you don't do half of the stuff we do. We're not friends."
Kurt smiled at Blaine. "I thought last night we established that we are friends. Hence why we changed just 'No strings attached' to 'Friends with benefits'."
"Yeah but I thought about it." Blaine shrugs. "Why? Do you really want to be friends with me?"
"What exactly do you mean?" Kurt asks.
Blaine grabs Kurt's hand and holds it. "I mean, tell me what's on your mind about us."
"Oh. I-...uhm." Kurt lets out, trying to figure out what to say. "I-I..." He takes a breath before continuing, "I thought my heart was breaking when I called us 'friends'." Kurt admits. "I trust you way too easily. And I-...I don't know what I'm doing." Kurt mutters.
Blaine chuckles, rubbing his thumb over Kurt's knuckles. "Be honest."
Kurt sticks his tongue out before saying, "I am." He thinks about Blaine's question before honestly answering. "I'm scared because of what I feel. Last year when I was still the 'old Kurt,' I remember seeing you pull into the school. God I remember your bike being amazing." Kurt chuckles before explaining, "I work in my dad's garage," and then continues. "I guess I was...fascinated? But I was already in a bad place so I kind of...admired from afar." Kurt admits, a soft blush starting to cover his face. "But I, uhm, I changed over the summer, obviously. I've told you that. But I guess now I'm glad I went under the bleachers a few days ago."
Blaine, for the first time in a long time, smiled an earnest, wide smile. He pulled on Kurt's arm and brought him close, whispering, "do you love me?"
"I don't know." Kurt blushes even more. "I'm bad with knowing my own feelings." Kurt admits. "Why are you asking me this?"
Blaine's eyes search Kurt's and with a long sigh, he responds. "Because I love you and I just want to know that I'm not falling, only to be looking at a cement floor to crash in, instead of love."
Kurt smiled before leaning in and kissing Blaine. "I'm bad with my feelings." Kurt repeats. "I don't know how to love or...if I truly can. But...I think I love you too."
Blaine brushes his lips against Kurt's. "I think I can handle that for now." He smiles, "take your time. I've got patience."
"I'm pretty sure you don't, Anderson." Kurt jokes before kissing him again. "You know, we're both going to die, right?" He chuckles against Blaine's lips. "Quinn is going to murder us."
"And if you were anyone else, I'd run." Blaine shrugs. "But I think I can handle Quinn's wrath. You're just lucky you're you."
"Yeah?" He laughs. "Tell me your response to your own question. Besides the fact that you love me. Please?" Kurt pouts.
Blaine hums. "Well, I think we're probably the strangest couple of people because one minute we hate each other and then the next minute we're giggling like teenage girls and groping each other. But for some reason I feel way too comfortable around you, and you just make me feel happy. I never really noticed you until this year, but the only reason I wanted a kiss that cold morning under the bleachers was because you just looked so beautiful I needed you close to me." He shrugs casually. "You're just really special."
"Sap." Kurt teases before kissing Blaine. "And I only noticed you for your beautiful bike."
"Ass." Blaine responds with a smirk.
"I know." Kurt shrugs. "But it's true. Am I not aloud to call your bike beautiful? Hmm? Jealous?"
"Of my bike?" Blaine snorts. "You need to get to know me better, Kurt Hummel."
"We probably should." Kurt scrunches his face a bit.
"Soon." Blaine assures him. "When I'm not in pain and when my head is straight. I've had a rough day."
"You can sleep, alright, honey?" Kurt kisses Blaine's forehead. "I'm not going anywhere."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
