Author's Notes: Prompt: Someone writes an AU fic that basically follows canon. It becomes one of those fics that everyone loves and knows about, because it's written well enough, and etc. Kurt or Blaine read it and enjoy it, and think that that's how it would have gone if in an AU from their perspective. Bonus if they mention having read it and tumblr explodes. how about kurt tweets like a quote or something from a famous klaine or dalton fic and the fandom freaks out (like that one time brian holden tweeted about little numbers)
"Kurt, are you crying?" Blaine asked.
"No." Kurt hastily wiped at his eyes and closed the website he was looking at.
"You are," Blaine replied. "I can hear you sniffling through the phone. What's wrong?"
"Don't laugh," Kurt warned.
"I swear," Blaine promised.
"I found this fanfiction about us," Kurt mumbled. "And it's so good, Blaine, it's an AU where we both went to Dalton and that's how we got together."
"A what?"
"Alternate Universe," Kurt answered. "Cause it's not what really happened. And of course it's RPF because –"
"RPF?"
"Real person fiction. Because we're real people."
"Oh," Blaine said. "And you're crying because?"
"It was so good, I couldn't help myself," Kurt chuckled. "And you think I'm a total weirdo now, don't you?"
"I think you're adorable no matter what," Blaine promised.
