Nick and Jeff exchanged a glance.

"Well, we were working on one of the songs," Jeff finally answered. "And Blaine was supposed to stand right in front of where the pyrotechnics were going off."

"Oh, God," Kurt moaned quietly. He knew he didn't want to hear this except he knew he needed to know because he'd go insane if he didn't.

"At first it was just loud and some debris went flying," Nick continued, raising his stitched hand. "I got hit with a piece of the set. Blaine got knocked backward."

"We went over to help him when we realized that some of the others had been hit and a wall of the set was on fire."

"Blaine was screaming and holding his eye and we were trying to get him out of there," Jeff finished.

Kurt shook his head and held up his hand. He couldn't hear anymore.

He glanced at the clock again, and begged silently for an update on Blaine's condition.
