"You were in a commercial?" Blaine asked. Nick and Jeff both looked at him with questioning glances. "Kurt" he mouthed, knowing they wanted to know who he's talking to.
"Yes, in my sophomore year – for a mattress store," Kurt answered. "Should I put it on the list?"
"I don't know," Blaine replied, smiling a little as he put Kurt on speaker phone. "Maybe I should watch it before I decide," he teased.
"Oh, no," Kurt muttered. "No, no one else needs to see that ever again." Jeff whipped open his laptop, typed YouTube into the browser and then when it loaded, he searched for "New Directions mattress commercial."
"No, I really think I do," Blaine insisted.
"We want to see it too, Kurt," Nick added.
"Blaine Anderson, am I on speaker phone?" Kurt demanded to know.
"You are now," Blaine chuckled lightly. He hoped Kurt knew they were just teasing and wouldn't be too upset.
"I found it," Jeff sing-songed. "Can we watch it, please?" he asked Kurt.
"Oh, for the love of..." Kurt muttered. "Fine, but not one word about it, boys. Not one word."
"We promise," Blaine swore. Jeff clicked play and the familiar sounds of Van Halen's "Jump" rang out from the speakers. They watched in silence as New Directions sang and jumped over all the giant mattresses.
"Okay, so you've seen it," Kurt said when it was over. "Now should it go on my NYADA application?"
"Definitely," Blaine replied, choking on his words a little.
"Blaine, you promised!" Kurt exclaimed, hearing Blaine's tone. Jeff and Nick collapsed into giggles.
"I'm sorry, it's just that you're so damn cute," Blaine told him, joining Jeff and Nick in their laughter.
"I hate you all," Kurt groaned.
"No, you love me," Blaine refuted. "And I love you, and that commercial was the most adorable thing I've ever seen." He paused. "Do you think we could get our hands on a mattress that bouncy?"
"Blaine," Kurt answered, his voice low.
"Yeah?" Blaine breathed out.
"Take me off speaker phone."
