"Blaine Anderson!" Blaine winced, holding the phone away from his ear. Julie had been his publicist from the beginning, but Blaine didn't think he'd ever heard her voice go quite that shrill before.

"What?" he asked, realizing seconds after he said it that he'd probably just said the stupidest thing he possibly could.

"'What?' he says," she continues. "I'll tell you 'what.' You just asked Kurt to prom on a nationally broadcast radio show!"

"I was there," Blaine replied.

"What happened to "We're just friends," Blaine?" she demanded to know.

"I said that," Blaine told her. "I just... after Sebastian, I wanted to do something nice for him."

"Nice is a dozen roses and a naughty card," Julie muttered. "Not a prom proposal while doing an interview with Ryan Seacrest!"

"You're not really mad at me, are you, Jules?" Blaine asked, using his pet name for her, one he only pulled out when she was at the end of her rope with him.

"Damn it, Blaine," she groused. "One of these days, I'm just gonna walk away from you and you will be so, so screwed."

"Promises, promises," Blaine teased. "Forgive me?"

"Fine." She sighed. "I have to go make sense of this mess you made anyway."

"Thank you, Julie," Blaine said, grinning.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll expect my flowers in the morning, Anderson." Blaine laughed as she hung up.
