When Kurt woke up the next morning, it took him a second to remember the events of the previous day. Once it all came rushing back to him, he scrambled out of bed and turned on his computer. With a glance at the clock (he had over an hour to get ready for school); he relaxed and opened his browser once his desktop was up.

Kurt wasted no time checking out his Tumblr dash (still filled with Blaine’s tweet to him and now his own reply had been added as well, fueling even more speculation about their supposed ‘activities’). He couldn’t believe it. Shaking his head, he signed into Twitter, and saw he had a message from Blaine Anderson.

It was official. Blaine Anderson was trying to kill him, or give him a heart attack or something, because Blaine Anderson had sent him a message.

Kurt read it quickly (Now I know who you are, Kurt Hummel from Ohio, so I can thank you properly. I really appreciate the heads up yesterday). And Blaine was following him.

Blaine Anderson was following him on Twitter.

He stared at the computer screen, hardly daring to take a breath. If he did, he might find he’d dreamed the whole thing.

But he didn’t, because there it was in black and white.

He sat and thought for a long moment before composing a reply (Seriously, it was no big deal. I figured you’d be more upset about it since I actually called your number – well, sort of. One of my friends thought it would be funny if she called it on my phone. I really hope I didn’t bother you or freak you out.

He hit send, and then headed for the bathroom to get ready for school.

Blaine didn’t know what had possessed him to send that message to Kurt. All he knew was that he’d liked Kurt’s voice, and he seemed nice, and completely not intimidated by Blaine’s celebrity status. As a plus, he was also from Ohio (according to his Twitter page), and Blaine was from Ohio himself.

He wondered if Kurt would reply.

He wondered why it mattered so much.

Blaine sighed, shifting in the makeup chair. He kept checking his phone to see if Kurt had replied or not. Connie, the one putting his make-up on, even noticed.

“You waiting on someone special?” she asked, touching up around his eyes.

“Not exactly,” Blaine muttered. He couldn’t tell her the truth – it would sound too weird.

“Dude, epic fail yesterday,” Jeff, their only blond haired Warbler, said as he walked into the make-up trailer.

“No kidding,” Blaine agreed. “Lucky I found out about it in time.”

“How many phone calls did you get?”

“About twenty total before my number was changed,” Blaine answered him. But only one that mattered. He messed with his phone again, and once Connie pronounced him done, he took a picture of himself. It was one of the rare days he was out of the Dalton uniform, and he knew it would drive the fangirls crazy trying to figure out why.

Today his character, James, was going to spy on a rival school, and meet his possible future boyfriend. Blaine couldn’t wait.

He posted the picture and smiled before noticing that he had a message. His hopes soared, and he smiled as he saw that it was from Kurt (Seriously, it was no big deal. I figured you’d be more upset about it since I actually called your number – well, sort of. One of my friends thought it would be funny if she called it on my phone. I really hope I didn’t bother you or freak you out).

Blaine couldn’t help but chuckle as he wrote out his response (Definitely thank your friend for me then. It’s a big deal to me. Did you know that I’m originally from Ohio? Westerville to be exact).

He wondered if Kurt would reply back.

When Kurt got home from school that day, he forced himself away from the computer. He took a shower to wash off the grime from his grueling Cheerios practice, and then he made sure all of his homework was done. He followed that up by a lengthy three-way chat with Mercedes and Rachel about songs for the current glee assignment they were currently working on (it was a boys against the girls contest, but it was no secret where Kurt’s allegiance lay).

His parents and Finn came home (from work and football practice respectively), and they sat down to dinner.

It wasn’t until after the last dish had been washed - and put away in its proper place - that Kurt let himself turn the computer on. Even then, he puttered around his room while it loaded, picking out his clothes for the next day at school (one of his non-uniform days), and getting a head start on his moisturizing routine.

Finally, Kurt sat down in front of the machine. He bit his lip, debating. With a sigh - because he couldn’t not check - Kurt signed into his Twitter account.

And there it was; another direct message from Blaine Anderson.

Kurt was having actual conversation with a celebrity.

He tried to keep the grin off his face, because he was a realistic person, and let’s face it – why would a celebrity be interested in anything he had to say? Still, Kurt hurried to read the message (Definitely thank your friend for me then. It’s a big deal to me. Did you know that I’m originally from Ohio? Westerville to be exact).

Well.

Kurt stared at the screen. Blaine was…well, it seemed like he was initiating conversation. He wasn’t making it all up in his head, right? Kurt tapped his fingers lightly across the keys of his keyboard and debate if he should respond.

It would be rude just to leave Blaine hanging, right?

So he thought for a moment and started typing. (I’ll be sure to let my friend know – it’ll probably make her week. Is it weird if I knew that already? I’m from Lima, about two hours from there. Probably not anywhere near as nice as Westerville.)

He hit send, and closed his browser - this would probably the last time he heard from Blaine.

Heh, that's a good question. Let's say yes, he is! (I know nothing about Twitter). Actually, both Blaine and Kurt hide who they follow, but for different reasons (see, now you've given me ideas). Blaine, because he's famous, and Kurt, because he doesn't want anyone using that information against him (like the popular kids used to do with Rachel's MySpace).

I have a question. If Blaine is following Kurt on Twitter, wouldn't his fans be able to find Kurt or is he hiding who he follows?

Thank you so much! :D

Blaine is adorable in this, and it's cute hard Kurt is trying to stay calm and not totally freak out.

lol I like the twist in the story
